LUPE DAY SPECIAL

Howl of the Werelupe King
By Anjie

Unforgiving is the night,
The moon a rounded sphere,
Casting crimson sheen below,
A spotlight cast on fear.

Unrelenting is the call
That taunts the waiting night.
Something's lurking in the dark,
For when the time is right.

In shadow Werelupe reigns as king,
His minions tread behind.
Travelling shrouded by the fog,
For victims they may find.

Woe betide those foolish folk,
Who venture out that eve,
Not worth considering the fate
Or harm they may receive.

An echoed howl, a call to arms,
Maniacal the grin.
Malice twisted on his face,
And bitterness within.

Once a month the full moon lifts,
And all folk should beware!
The shining sphere a warning light,
A beacon of despair.

He surveys his realm with sickly gaze,
Jaws part and fangs agleam.
The howl one hears best be alone,
Lest the next sound is a scream.

Robot Lupe
By Concertogreat_8

Jerky movement, step forward an inch,
Oiled wheels; legs on rollers,
Movements stiffly so.

Glowing red eyes, empty look,
Cold metal gaze, fixed in place --
Bolts and screws hold it there.

(Who is this in the metal mask?
What creature, meant for what task?)

No tears can it shed,
Heart of cold iron, steel bars,
Wires, cords, electric plug.

Machine, not real, they say,
Not sympathetic, no feelings.
Drop of compassion dried up.

(But who are they, and what did it
Do, that thus they labelled it?)

Robot Lupe passes a sad day,
Abandoned in a corner,
Gathering dust.

It's not real, it has no need
Of our affections on its one day;
It will stand alone, not caring.

(Why no eyes of reality shine?
Why no look of compassion thine?)

No day for it, though the rest
Of the Lupes will frolic and train,
Revered on their special day.

None for the machine, unloved
As it is, just a robot, no fur,
Or so they say.

(Hasn't it got enough to bear?
Why must they criticise its hair?)

Unheard and unseen, I creep into
The corner, and what should I find
But the Robot Lupe, looking at me.

Royal Lupe; Royal Garb
By Lemonlovingcutie

A debutante prepares for the ball tonight;
Spreading rouge upon her cheeks fair.
While twilight dismounts a shawl of light;
The music dances upon the cough of air.

Stars swing to and fro on slender height
O'er Neopia's cascading stare.
Praised couplets prance into the scene,
Led in carriages pulled by single mare.

Out of the twisted tendrils she does leave;
Sequins pinned on velvet hem do gleam.
Fitted with a gown made of grand weave,
The most pronounced of all she does seem.

Only one does know of her secret tale,
Not merely a song of due respect.
A tainted guardian does force a fail,
On watchful sceptre her life does reflect.

'Twas once clothed in drab and rag;
Now shine and shimmer she does hold.
So when you see this beauty lag,
Do know she is not quite so bold.

The Ghost Lupe
By Kittypride472

Ears held up erect and proud,
Bold voice raised to the wind,
Mournful howl doth fill the night,
With a sad and lonely cry.

Paws pad noiseless through the clearing,
Fur blows gently in the wind,
Faint glow spills upon the grass,
And eyes burn red as flame.

Many things he brings, some good, some bad,
Masquerading forever to avenge a death,
He wanders forever alone,
The one they once called Sylva.

Lupe Lore
By Indulgences

The Lupes' Day, it comes in May
And merry is that festival!
The Lupe is a loyal beast
Whose origin's a miracle!

A contest to create a pet
Resulted in the Lupe breed!
The star of many chronicles,
We should be thoughtful of its deeds!

There's Balthazar of battling fame,
And Captain Scarblade leads a crew.
The Ghost Lupe is known to all,
And Jeran is a knight so true!

King Coltzan dwells in Coltzan's Shrine.
King Altador is also famed.
There's Sabre-X who Omelette guards.
In Cellblock, Number Five is named.

The Darkest Faerie video game
Is home to the Werelupe King,
Where Gnarfas lives in dungeon chained,
And Tormund fights and always wins!

There's Tressif and there's Timu too,
Two champs of Yooyuballing plume.
One Mr. Lupid teaches art,
And Tomos saved Sakhmet from doom!

The Lupe stars in many tales
Of bravery and gallantry!
So be aware this Lupe Day
Of Lupes and their history!
