KRAWK DAY SPECIAL

The Krawk on Krawk Day
By Indulgences

The reptile Krawk is known to all,
Though rarest on the Neopets site.
Around 2,300 currently exist.
They are a rare and beauteous sight!

The Krawk is born in just two ways.
The Petpet Krawk is one of those.
When taken to the Fungus Cave,
It eats the fungus, then it grows!

It mutates slowly, growing tall,
Its reptilian features coming forth,
Its scales enlarging and
Its face becoming gnarled henceforth!

The Secret Laboratory Ray's
The second way that Krawks are made.
A lucky zap from that device
Might make a Krawk, if you are brave!

According to the TCG,
Its element is Darkness, so
Beware the Krawk at dusk or night!
For darkness breeds its power, you know!

This was my special ode to Krawks!
Remember Krawk Day's April 16!
Go dress your Krawk all fancily
And tour the town, to see and be seen!

Grimtooth the Krawk
By Wicked_summer

A shack rests at the seaside,
Tumbledown hovel at water's edge,
Home to those who cheated or lied,
It's the house that police are too scared to dredge.

Walk in, sit down, pick a table, take a seat;
Opponents smirk all 'round the room.
You're here to play, they're here to beat;
Be on your guard. Never assume.

A Meerca, an Eyrie, both subtle and crazy,
Enemies who glare from across the table,
The Krawk is the worst, he's born from the sea,
A monstrosity no one has yet tried to label.

Grimtooth, the self-proclaimed master of
Bilge Dice,
His eyes gleam as he pulls the coins closer.
Playing with him is like walking on thin ice --
If this game was music, he'd be a composer.

A throw of the dice, and your luck you curse,
Hand over your coins as you get up to leave.
Grimtooth smirks at your lightened purse,
And you, pale-faced, flee from this thief.

Arrr... The Life of a Treasure Hunter
By Hopeforgotten

Dorak was a little Krawk,
Of getting rich he did talk,
Finding treasure was his dream,
It was his life's goal, it would seem.

The seas did to Dorak beckon,
There had to be treasure he reckoned,
What gold did it hide?
He would go find out, he did decide,
Dorak craved high-paced adventure,
Around the shores of Krawk Island
He would venture.

Perhaps some pirate ship had hit a reef
And its hull had been torn by the coral teeth.
The crew would have reluctantly left
All the treasures gained by theft.
Perhaps the ship had sunk
And fell to the depths with a thunk.

Dorak rowed out to the ocean blue,
Whistling a pirate tune anew.
After a while he stopped his oars
And decided to dive to the ocean floor.
He slipped into the water cool
With only his goggles and his tools.

Dorak searched and searched to no avail.
He felt like letting out a great big wail.
Just as he was about to go,
A shiny Dubloon in front of him did flow,
He grasped it in his paw,
Turning to the far right he saw...

Half-hidden by sand a sunken ship lay,
Untouched by pirates and left to decay,
Dorak's grin widened from ear to ear,
His luck was changing now
That Krawk Day was here.

The Temper of the Krawk Queen
By Soaringeagle25

Lush velvet trimmings, golden bright throne,
Riches and rank beyond mind,
The royal sceptre of glowing bloodstone,
The finest kingdom of all history combined.
Her steely eyes pierce, her sharpened claws shine,
Unyielding beauty of unearthly divine.

Supreme royal air, nonchalant bored stare,
She preens on her lofty throne perch.
The Neopets, though, fair melt under her glare.
When she raises her pinky, they lurch.
Hop to your paws, be nimble on your feet --
Don't give reason for her anger to greet!

They remember the day when one had betrayed.
Lo! That unlucky poor wretched Kacheek...
Her lips reached a snarl, her face stony jade.
From his pitiful mouth fled a shriek,
For no one crosses the magnificent Krawk Queen,
If they have a concern for their well-being.

The Legend of Lady Frostbite
By Anjie

Frozen peaks consumed by snow,
So glacial, the bleak plateau.
Arctic is the barren ground,
Cold and brutal, all year 'round.
Beyond Krawk Island's sunlit shore,
A bitter region few explore.

With Darblat swarms at her command,
This queen seeks to control the land.
Statuesque, of cobalt hue,
Mane is pallid, streaked with blue.
Lady Frostbite rules this place,
For she's the queen of Darblat race!

One word uttered, just at a whim,
To action do those Petpets swim!
How dare a stranger come to spy,
On this ice queen's palace, built up high!
Only those in Darblat clan,
May know the queen's most wicked plan!

Constructing, building great machine,
The vilest plot this world has seen!
Neopia will feel dismay,
A plot most wicked! (And cliche!)
Original? Well no, she's not,
And yet she's hatched an evil plot!

Demanding what she doth deserve,
And it's questioned? Oh! The nerve!
The world will soon be on its knees,
Neopia, one giant deep freeze!
An icy world for endless age,
They'll know the wrath of Frostbite's rage!
