AAA and the Roothless One
By Anjie
Wicked thoughts, malicious plans,
Hatched by a vicious king.
AAA and Abigail
To one small hope do cling.
Should Neopia outplay,
Outplan, outplot, outwit.
The Roothless one may let them go,
It's vital not to quit.
Spun into a crazy world,
Where games shall rule the day.
Neopia has little choice,
But to sit back and play.
Guide the siblings through the maze,
With spade and spring in hand.
A minion snapping at their heels,
They'll make this final stand.
Somewhere watching, glee in gaze,
King Roothless shall look on.
Hoping they stay trapped within,
And that all hope is gone.
The challenge is before us all,
And few would dare refuse.
Roothless plays to win the day,
We can't afford to lose!

Bug Eye McGee
By Chicago1982
You noticed a dislike for your type --
icky, bug-eyed pirates and the like.
At first glance, I said, "Yikes!"
and you responded with your gripes.
Kept bugging me all night,
whining, complaining, but you were right --
it wasn't delight at first sight,
it was fright. I thought you'd bite.
But you were fun, and I was foolish
for thinking you were ghoulish,
and now I miss your ill wishes
when I'm hunting or fishing.
Oh, Bug Eye McGee, my Neobuddy,
won't you come back to me?
Listen, please, to my plea --
I tried to replace you, but I am sorry.
You turned out to be cool...
but now I'm just an April Fool.

Kacheek Seek
By Scarvogue
Thou are not lost, pesky Neopet,
Just hidden from my sight.
For days I search, here and there,
Until the moon shines by night.
You can run, but cannot hide;
I will find you, fine Kacheek,
Even if thou linger in a foul musty lair,
I shall find the one I seek.
In the tree house, I search first,
Each branch, carefully explored.
Should you not be found, the pirate ship is next --
In every cabin I search for you,
but thou are not aboard.
The end draws near as I pick the final place:
I travel through Terror Mountain,
searching every pine.
No igloo went unchecked, nor forest overlooked;
The caves, I searched those too,
but they were vacant at the time.
I feel as if all hope is lost,
overwhelmed with defeat...
But then I spot the tail of you,
my dear friend Kacheek!
I jump with joy at the fact that I have not been beat!
Alas! I have found you, in this game of Seek.

A Comparison of Isca and Caylis
By Mithril_mithrandir
Down in deep blue Maraqua,
Two sisters make their homes:
Isca, pampered in her wealth,
And Caylis, all alone.
The dreams they have are quite unique,
The future they can see,
The coming plague or coming storm,
Whatever it might be.
Pleasant dreams does Isca have,
Ev'ry night fortune awaits,
Perhaps a surge of money,
Or tourists at the gates.
Alone upon her ocean rock,
Nightmares flood the scene:
Caylis sees only the bad,
Not the good that might have been.
Surrounded by Maraquan pets,
Isca does smile bright,
For her happiness increases
With every dream each night.
Meanwhile Caylis sobs,
Bitter, betrayed, alone,
Evil growing in her heart
Where the sadness has been sown.
Accepted by adoring fans,
Isca leaves in peace,
Signing photos of herself,
Popular beyond belief.
But poor abandoned Caylis,
Shunned, hated, ignored,
Just because she sees the bad,
She can never be adored.
In the light dwells Isca,
She basks in rays of sun,
Laughing, cheery, hopeful,
Brilliant and fun.
But in darkness is her sister,
Moping in shadows black,
Snapping out at those who come
And try to bring her back.
And what truly makes them different,
What sets good and bad apart,
Is not their looks, is not their fame,
But something in their heart.

Soup Faerie
By Phoenixangel2393
With loving eyes you gave to me
Some food and an opportunity,
To taste the warmth given to me,
Your heart as big as the deep blue sea.
Your tenderness, as soft as the snow,
made you shine and your eyes glow.
I thank you almost every day,
Because you didn't make me pay.
I hope there are others just like you
To give to those hungry too.
Maybe one day I'll do the same;
After all, life is no game.
When I come back, I'll need no food,
Because I know I'll do some good.
After I have changed a life,
I'll keep on serving with fork and knife.
Until life has given up on me,
I truly think 'tis my destiny,
Handing a bowl of soup to you,
Has definitely insured that I grew.
So thank the dear Soup Faerie,
Then a good citizen you'll truly be.
When life gets tough, you'll know what to do --
Help others like she has helped you.
