Poetry For Peophins
By Anjie

Peophin, a verse for thee,
A sonnet, fair and true.
Lyrics of your ocean realm,
An homage overdue.
Poetic motion, subtle grace,
A vision as you swim.
The turquoise waters glimmer soft,
And bow to wish and whim.

A leap above the laughing sea,
Then idle, glide below.
Allow the sunlight's waning sheen,
To dance on mane's own glow.
Fins like visions torn away
Do flicker, disappear.
Translucent, delicate their shape,
Such texture fragile, sheer.

Onyx hooves upon each wave,
They crash like sea on sand.
The tide shall ebb at creature's whim
And part at their command.
Others may grace the ocean realm,
But none possess such grace.
To shimmer on the drifting tide,
Then vanish without trace.

Exquisite equine of the blue
Guards ocean's secrets well.
Where sea doth end and sky begins,
A truth they will not tell.
Poets who have glimpsed their forms,
Shall write in endless awe
Of Peophins upon the waves,
A beauty without flaw.

Fighting for Victory
By Singinglarks

Sweat, anger, tension,
Fear and eagerness too.
He prepares for the next attack,
Before this round is through.

So many times he has been beaten,
Yet he always carries on.
So full of energy and determination,
Yet opponents face him with a yawn.

In his mind pass thoughts of winning,
He dreams of becoming the best.
But while soul and mind are very strong,
He is much smaller than the rest.

Time and time again he's tried,
Yet he never will succeed.
For in the Battledome, mind doesn't matter,
The weak are forced to concede.

The Cherished Kingdom of Altador
By Cby91325

Near the beautiful, sunny seashore,
through a magical Faerieland portal,
is the cherished kingdom of Altador.

Beyond the Hall of Heroes' main door,
stand the magnificent champion statues,
near the beautiful, sunny seashore.

Exquisite Ambrosia is served and stored,
for ordinary citizens, but fit for heroes,
in the cherished kingdom of Altador.

Legendary Petpets can't be ignored,
as they provide comfort and support,
near the beautiful, sunny seashore.

Magical Marvels are available galore,
each piece is stunning and guaranteed,
in the cherished kingdom of Altador.

Illustrious Armoury, worn in times of war,
is made by the most skilful craftsman,
near the beautiful, sunny seashore.

The Archives of history can be explored.
The books and scrolls tell it all,
in the cherished kingdom of Altador.

Yooyuball tournaments on the Colosseum floor,
attract Neopians from far and wide,
near the beautiful, sunny seashore,
in the cherished kingdom of Altador.

Lost Desert Wanderer
By Gooshy230

Perhaps you've heard the call before,
When listening to the wind,
The slightest sighing of your soul.

A nomad's fire, I think it's named,
That tingling of the spirit
That soon will have you on the road.

That fire fills my waking mind
And fills my heart with song;
Melody none can ever place.

I'm a desert wanderer,
A lover of bright sand
Lost within this nomad's race.

My feet thrill to the blazing life
Endless dunes will bring,
Days and nights my moving goes.

This clear beauty of the stars
And glorious sunlight
Sends restless chills to my toes.

Some are content to stay behind,
Never seeking the horizon,
But I shift just like the sand.

Perhaps you've heard the call before,
When listening to the wind --
The timeless call of a lost land.

Palpus of the Desert
By Togepi_forever

He stands there in the sunlight,
Medals shining proud;
Alone in his great chamber,
Far beyond the crowds.

He gazes with a watchful eye
Upon the streets below,
Always looking for new ways
To help his city grow.

The citizens, they adore him,
Although he stands above
Doing all he can for Sakhmet --
The city, his true love.

The passing years have changed him,
Old, yet still alert --
Respected by Sakhmetians,
Palpus of the Desert.

Once he fought for all our sakes,
A general, proud and true.
Now he works as Senator,
Still guarding me and you.

So if you ever meet him,
Please thank him for his time;
He still stands proud for Sakhmet,
His city, yours, and mine.
