Ode to Petpets
Ode to the Snowbunny, retired and rare --
How I try, but those bunnies are hard to ensnare!
Sing praises of the sweet little Mimbi.
And equal honours go to the blue Kimbi.
How do I love the slithery Cobrall?
Well, not half so much as the bright Baby Fireball.
I love Deaver and Huggy and
Kookith and Khamette.
I adore Sharky and Swabby and Walking Carpet.
I admire the Whinny, the Charnie, the Mazzew,
And the same for the Dartail,
Melvie, and Puppyblew.
So fond am I of Meepits and Mortogs
And Gallions and Buzzers
And three-headed Bearogs.
Sweet little critters the Acko, Cadro, and Peo,
Hopso, Pepito, Pwerko, and Teasqito.
And how lovely is Feepit, Poppit, and Kelpflake;
Not to mention Cybit, Selket,
Flosset, and Cyodrake.
Oh! And Sandan and Dandan and Lurman and Noil!
And Goldy and Bogie and Hasee and Dragoyle.
Spardel and Symol and Turdle and Polarchuck,
Skelly and Felly and Wheelie and Altachuck.
Then there's the Anubis, the Pikis,
and Jhudora's Bartamus.
And Bilguss and Horus and Cirrus and Angelpuss.
Boween and Soreen and Gulper and Barbat.
Rotawheel, Screal, Griefer, and Crystacat.
Quetzal and Urchull and Fir and Phnard.
Krikket and Pinklet and Shocket and Tanizard.
Ownow, Gathow, Khonsu, and Weewoo.
Floud, Meekins, Kepru, Tasu, and Yooyu.
Nobody appreciates Petpets more than me!
Now bring me some more! Florg's still hungry!
A Lone Snowmuncher
The snow around confines the little mind,
Still all alone with not another kind.
Coloured blocks of snow piled on the floor,
Eating toward the floor and waiting for more.
The falling blocks do create a small scare;
A retreat to the top, he does not dare.
He jumps, avoiding blocks that did fall through,
The snow does not melt like the morning dew.
Through the hidden wurms and the frozen fruit,
He still collects gems for some added loot.
His belly now with more food tends to grow,
Until air from his mouth does come to flow.
When he does find the Bloat-B-Gone bottle,
The pain is gone, leaving a new throttle.
He will never lead a life that is dull,
As long as his belly does not get full.
The Season of Giving
Idle alabaster fall,
A silken blanket drifts.
The symbol that it shall approach,
That day of giving gifts.
Within the realm we call our own,
Such celebrations reign.
Excitement dwells within the air,
For now, it shall remain.
Spirits high and held in hope,
That all shall gather 'round.
Swapping gifts as jingle bells
Do trill a merry sound.
The Brain Tree's boughs are laced with lights,
So vividly they glow.
Reflections drifting from the sheen,
And dancing on the snow.
A group of Christmas Snowickles
Do scuttle to each home,
Filling rooms with candy canes,
And off again, they roam.
Each creature in Neopia,
Shall so enjoy this day.
Even Sloth, the wicked one,
Will put his plans away.
With the breaking of gold dawn,
Shall cries of joy ring out.
Excitement heard at every gift,
Within delighted shout!
Giving, though, is not just gifts,
But also time to care.
Join us in Neopia,
And on this day, we share!
Cinnamon and ginger,
A pinch of winter cheer.
Some plain honey,
Ingredients to hearts so dear.
Royal icing tops it off,
Coloured red, green, and white.
Perhaps some shiny candies
Add to the tasty delight.
Existing in all forms,
Breads, houses, and men.
They decorate Neohomes,
Filling bellies again and again.
Recipes from all around,
Different as all Neopets,
Yet one element is shared,
Feelings not soon to forget.
Of all presents to receive,
On the Day of Giving,
The one most anticipated
Is the one that is living.
Gingerbread is tasty,
Houses are fun to design,
But when it comes to ginger,
I want a Jinjah to be mine.
The Day of Giving is Finally Here!
Crackling and popping the fires are singing their joy
Smiles shining all around on the faces
Of every Neopian girl and boy.
What a great time to share some cheer!
The bells ring and choirs sing;
There are so many presents to give and bring.
The Day of Giving is getting near!
Little Neopian paws around the tree, stirring,
Ears pressed to colourful boxes, minds whirring.
Oh, what a wonderful day, what a wonderful day!
The celebration is now not far away!
Gelerts with gifts, Blumaroos with balloons,
Kougras with candies, and Tonus with trees...
Everyone wants some of these!
What a day to celebrate with friends and family.
Here they come, from far and near!
The Day of Giving is finally here!
