BOROVAN DAY SPECIAL

Borovan Day!
By Scenette

Your Neopets are feeling the chill,
They need to be warm, if you will.
Take their little paws in gentle palms
And there place a cup of Borovan.
Hot, steaming, your Neopets delight
At the touch of a warm beverage.
The cold temperature is banished, gone!
And happily they play in the snow.
When the heat is gone, they come inside
For the cure of the cold, for the warmth,
Their hearty selves are restored again!
And this is why we celebrate the
Day for the cup of Borovan!

How to Bake Borovan Brownies
By Anjie

Tastebuds tingling? Need a treat?
Something that's sticky, brown, and sweet?
Then gather up that baking pan,
Today we cook with Borovan!
Now's the time to cook, I say,
On Borovan's own special day.

Mix the brown and sticky goo,
Then stir the Borovan on through.
A thick, moist mixture, that's the goal,
The question, who will lick the bowl?
There will be drama, though, that's right,
Left-over mix is worth the fight.

Now heap the dark, rich mixture in,
Your biggest, longest baking tin.
It's worth each second that it took,
When you smell them start to cook!
You'll know you've not mixed brownies wrong,
When tasty scents soon waft along.

One hour passes, now it's time,
To feast on brownies quite sublime!
Serve hot and tasty from the pan,
Those flavoured treats of Borovan.
Chew on one, put your feet up,
Delay the cleaning, washing up.

Hot Borovan Haiku
By Lemonlovingcutie

Too cold to be out
Being stuck inside all day
Warm beside fire.

In need of some warmth
Making a roasted delight
Hot Borovan.

More than one flavour
Apple, Orange, Vanilla
So hard to choose one.

Mix with marshmallows
Stir with a cinnamon stick
Helps to heat your tongue.

Slurp and sip 'til gone
Then get ready to make more
We love Borovan.

Baffling Borovan
By A_bowl_of_rice

A mysterious concoction,
Identity unknown.
Is it leftovers of Sophie's stew
Or what Turmy's stomach couldn't hold?
Does it come from asparagus, farmer-grown?

On tasting the brew,
Confusion fills the mind.
What Adam was thinking,
When he thought of the drink?
Only the determined will find.

It comes in different flavours,
Which mask its original taste.
Gourmets come from near and far,
But their tasting skills are a waste,
As cranberry and mint hide its Borovanic base.

Puzzling as it may be,
Some things are best left secret.
If one day we find that mud and rye
Are the main components of the drink.
Gone will be our appetites,
down the kitchen sink.

A thick brown broth,
Served in dainty little cups,
Which adds cheer and fear,
To all occasions
(without much reason).

Borovan, O Borovan,
Regardless of what you are,
You sure make our holiday season.

Ode to Borovan
By X_seabee_x

Oh Borovan!
Such a wonderful, flavourful treat!
Oh Borovan!
(I heard it puts hairs on your feet!)
Apple, Vanilla, Orange, and Mint...
So many flavours, that's lovely, innit?
It's good to slurp when it's cold,
But you can get it iced when it is hot.
In bakery form it is also sold,
In cakes, pavlova... oh my, there are lots!
So this winter when you are shivering
And you need something to drink,
Grab a hot cup of flavourful Borovan...
It's better than you think!
