The Faerie of Outer Space
By Anjie

Starlight sings its softest call,
The moonlight realm's serene.
The sky is dusted with the stars,
Bright planets can be seen.

In outer space all seems so calm,
And here, she makes her home.
A faerie's realm in moonlit glow,
Where idle stars do roam.

In space she is the guardian,
The one who keeps the peace.
Villains who do hear her name
Soon wicked actions cease.

On starlit nights, if one goes far,
You'll see her drifting there.
A figure standing all alone,
With starlight in her hair.

Her lower form doth fade away,
And mixes with the night.
A dark cascade, a silken sheath,
So scattered with starlight.

Neopia seems far away,
A distant, distant dream.
The reaches of the deepest night,
Lit up within her gleam.

And all that dwell in furthest realm,
Do know their worlds secure.
Under the eye of Space Faerie,
Shall peace grow and endure.

Oh Baby Paintbrush
By Xxxlovefaeriexxx

Oh, Baby Paintbrush,
How you giggle and gush.
Your baby blue colour
Is your own special blush.

I search for you frantic
And finally find you,
I've become manic.
And now that I've found you,
I know I can't buy you.

Oh, Baby Paintbrush,
I would snatch you up.
Because all of your baby glory,
Makes me gush.

Oh, look, Baby Paintbrush,
I have found you in a market shop!
But you look so much softer,
You look much more plush.

Oh no, Baby Paintbrush,
I thought I bought you.
But alas it was your evil cousin.
No wonder it was a plushie,
I bought it from Von Roo.

Oh, Baby Paintbrush,
I must say adieu.
Because I will never be able to buy
The one thing I want,
Which is you.

The Little Lupe Who Could
By Psychopsam

Lupes are noble creatures, no?
Well, there's one who comes to mind,
But in the Neopedia
He isn't there to find.

His name was Calomar the Brave;
He had a claim to fame.
To this day he stands up proud;
He never is ashamed.

He never thought himself a coward,
But he saw the dizzying heights.
The greatest mountain in the world
Gave him quite the fright.

Terror Mountain is its name
And it is as it sounds.
To climb it is a dangerous task,
So high above the ground.

That was his sole and only goal,
To climb its highest peak.
But when he saw it for the first time
He almost had to shriek.

That day he started up the rocks,
Clinging to his rope,
And when he thought about giving up
He slowly whispered, "Nope."

A week had past since Calomar
Had started up the path.
He was cold and tired now,
And he needed a bath.

But he trekked on through wind and snow,
Up the slippery slope,
And when he thought about giving up,
He proudly whispered, "Nope."

That day he made it to the top
And sat down in the snow.
He looked around the mountain view,
And then he walked back home.

He was the first to ever climb
That mountain, and we should
Always remember Calomar as
The Little Lupe Who Could.

Tyrannia
By Mushroom_fiend

Tyrannia, the home of those strong and true,
The world sitting under the blue,
Resting on the large plateau,
with the gigantic omelette in tow.
It was eaten you say?
No worries, another is on the way!
Don't forget those down in the jungle;
That's where you can get food by the bundle!
Petpets and furniture are there, too!
Doesn't that sound awfully good to you?

Though they aren't the smartest
Neopets in the bunch,
That's no reason not to act on a hunch
And read to them all of the wonderful books.
You may find in the hidden nooks
Of your Neohome, which has likely drawn a crowd
Because of all of the stuff that was left around.
The Neopets are rough and tough, loving a fight!
And if provoked will attack all night.
But never fear if you run across such a scuffle --
Just tiptoe away and keep the sound muffled.
They won't pay you any mind,
Just so long as you're the thing they cannot find.

The Creature
By Confiserie

The strange creature
gazes upon the weakness
shown on my face.
The glossy eyes memorise me
for a moment.
A moment too long.

Suddenly it rushes
toward me, and I
freeze in despair.
Its oversized teeth are gleaming
like swords.

I turn to run
out of the darkness that fills up
this treacherous cave.
But the excitement has clogged
my memory,
masking the opening.

Suddenly I see a speck of light
not too far away.
I smile, relieved,
but at that moment
I fall, to what I'm sure is my doom.

Now I am hopelessly
on the ground,
acting as a blanket
for the dirt and crushed twigs.
I hear its footsteps corrupt the soil
behind me.

At last it reaches my body,
but I am already defeated.
In the darkness, I cannot
identify my aggressor,
so I just wait,
wait for the end.

To my surprise,
minutes pass without any
sound or motion.
I think that it has left,
until I hear an unmistakable cry:

"Meeeeeep!"

And I am even more petrified.
