The air is so warm, boiling even.
It whips and stirs and nips at my lungs.
I stand atop the wobbling pillars,
My legs are jelly as they should be,
And I begin to realise.
This pillar I stand upon is my life,
The one in front of me may be my demise
Or it may be my salvation.
But I do not know, and I will never know,
Until I make the jump.
My head is pounding,
The deadly rhythm is filling my ears,
My heart, my soul, as I shake and shiver,
As the beat of my doom draws near,
With the skittering flap of wings.
But I jump, I slip and fall, time and time again,
My poor, blistered paws hanging onto
the column of my success.
The searing liquid heat of my memories
pools below me,
I kick, I squirm, and I pull myself back up.
My mind may be jelly, but I shall never give in.
Because today I stand atop a pedestal.
The background music of me and all I have created.
Today may be the day I jump.
Today may be the day I fall.
Vira, I Knew Her Before
Such amazing eyes clouded over with want,
I knew her before now,
I knew who she was.
She was beauty uncanny,
Vira was strong in the mind,
but there was something stirring in her,
She wanted more beauty,
she wanted to know she was the best,
she wanted compliments and praise,
she put her beauty to the test.
Then a curse was put upon her,
and her beauty went away,
she became a monster,
and until this day,
that she has stayed.
I knew her before,
and wonder where she went,
is she still beautiful inside,
or was all her beauty spent?
There's nothing quite like
the valley below Terror Mountain...
the days are long and fruitful,
the skies are blue, and the sun
is a faded light of lands far gone.
Here, happiness is never diluted.
Instead, Neopets greet one another
merrily, as their day begins.
Every day is truly a gift
and one should take it as such.
The chill of the air never reaches
the inside of a warm heart here, and
though the nights are long
and the dread of Terror Mountain
looms in the distance, one can still
enjoy the splendour of the Valley.
After all, what is more calming
than to simply exist among the beauty?
Meepit vs. Feepit
Inside the ring, the tension grows,
Where he comes from, it always snows;
Where the other comes from, secrets are hid,
But the majority of fans think it is best.
Round 1 starts off with a great big cheer,
The creepy one gets kicked across the rear.
The snowy one dodges, punches, kicks, and bites,
But this can not last.
Through rounds 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5,
The creepy one has no alibi
As to why he is taking such a beating,
But the snowy one will soon know his feeling.
Round 6, the last of the day,
brings new terrors and dismays.
The snowy one takes a bigger beating.
Finally, the brain of Haunted Woods wins.
Through the volcano's ring of ash and smoke,
Lives a faerie enveloped in fire's cloak.
She kindles the earth and sparks through the night,
Her flames shine brightly, flaring with light.
Through sandstorms alone and sand unscathed,
Walks a sprite in fire bathed.
Eyes of amber danced with embers,
A glance from her you shall always remember.
She is fire, she is light,
She is the spirit of illuminated night.
Draped in cloaks of orange and red,
She tames the fire of twilight's thread.
Should you see a small light in the deepest night,
Fear not, feel no fright.
for this is the mysterious faerie -- Nuria is her name;
Nuria, the goddess of fire and flame.
