GRUNDO DAY SPECIAL
A Kreludor Tale
By Joolykin
A happy little Grundo
Listens to forgotten lore,
In his happy little hovel
With his friends on Kreludor
Though the stories are quite scary
And the room is nice and dark,
The warmth and friendship in the air
Will surely leave its mark
Kolero Knar the blue one
Tells a frightening little tale,
About pirates on a rusting ship
And monsters rowing through the gale
Rischoso Li the tiniest
Is timid yes it's true,
But the stories he would tell that night
Could chill them through and through
And in that night with all those friends
Rain over them in pails,
Even in the darkness it is shown
That lights of friendship WILL prevail.

A Grundo's Freedom
By Dl_wishing_well
What greatest war did you wage?
For friend, for family, for country - perhaps
Against these three you have pressed;
Were there not times you cried,
"There is a cause!"
But was there one mind?
As but a nameless Grundo
I cannot express in eloquent terms
Of what I am most familiar;
But of my experience I can testify
That reason to fight -
The freedom to fight -
Is so great a price!
A brother - oh! what an abused term! -
Could be one I had never laid eyes upon;
For striving against a greater evil,
To serve not that tyrant Sloth
But to serve ourselves for our future!,
In the heart of peril, any with me
Was of me.
How we struggled to remain even opposed
To our suppressors;
How bleak our future had appeared!
But a timid little child
Had grasped my attention,
My heart and soul with it,
And simply said,
"There is yet hope!"
Hope we found and with it strength,
And victory no faerie could grant
Was ours!
There is no tale to tell
Of our efforts lost (but not wasted);
Yet I can rise up and proclaim:
Our war is never over!
There is peace now
And to preserve the smiling faces
Of every Neopian, I had stood before
And I will stand again!
Remember this:
Though we may be imprisoned
By ruler, by jail, by any loss
We still can be free!
For none can chain down our hearts!

Gorix the Grundo
By Anjie
An eerie backdrop, shadowed sky,
The scattered stars seem dim.
Kreludor, a deadly realm,
The situation? Grim.
With brave Cylara close at hand,
Gorix does walk in front.
If horrid beasts should now leap forth,
It's him who'll bear the brunt.
A smoking wreck heaped far behind,
A spaceship, its remains.
Salvation lies in what they find,
Upon the cold moon's plains.
Whilst terror grips the Grundo's heart,
There's no choice but to fight.
To chance the wasteland spread ahead,
Their one chance in this plight.
His laser held, he'll glance around,
Some motion, far ahead.
They're not alone on Kreludor,
A fact both heroes dread.
Gorix thunders forth from here,
His weapon, trained on beast.
If Kreludor shall be his doom,
He'll go down brave, at least.
The vibrant light from laser's beam,
Alights the empty night.
A battle fierce is raging here,
In space, a vicious fight.
So stranded on a barren moon,
Gorix fears for his fate.
Will he leave this wasteland realm?
None know, sit back... And wait.

Lost Home
By Reggieman721
A Grundo janitor walks by
A window showing spacey sky.
The Virtupets employee slows,
And wipes his hands on grubby clothes,
Then reaches out with them to touch
The home he misses very much.
An orange finger leaves a smear
Where Kreludor is seen so near.
The moon he had once called his home,
Is lost forever; He's alone.
The Grundo sighs and blinks his eyes,
Tears fall like countless stars in sky.
The spaceship drifts along through space,
As orange Grundo's teary face
Is seen behind small windowpane,
Wishing for his home in vain.
And Kreludor, the distant moon,
Weeps also to the lonely tune.

Faerie Grundance
By 8daerkfire8
Wings like night that lift me
I'm drifting on a starry sea
Round and round I dance
As if stuck in a hypnotic trance
Propelled by Psellia's dreamy breeze
Floating hither wherever I please
A kick of the feet, a flutter of wings
All alone in the sky, I dance and I sing
My sapphire eyes glow like the moon
As I swoop through the sky so star-strewn
The tepid waters rustle beneath me
Remniscent of the days of yore
When I was but a wee baby Grundo
Dancing till my little feet were sore
O'er Meridell cloaked in silvery moonlight I bask
Arms cupped to capture Kreludor's light like a flask
Through the Haunted Woods, I twirl and flip
Between monsters and witches, I dart and I skip
Round Shenkuu's waterfall, I flit and I flutter
My moves so graceful and as smooth as Kau butter
Above Faerieland, I spin higher and higher
'Till my wings are leaden and I'm about to expire
Now back to my home I will go and rest
Tomorrow again I'll put my dancing to the test
