Fruit, Glorious Fruit!
By Voldemorts_evil_spy

Fruit, glorious fruit!
Blue Peppers and Azzles!
While we're in the mood --
Blunellas and Blopples!
Pease Blairnuts and Astrannas!
What next is the question?
Rich Neopets have it, boys --
In-di-gestion!

Fruit, glorious fruit!
We're anxious to try it.
Three fruit bowls a day --
Our favourite diet!

Just picture a great big Koyle--
Chopped, pickled or stewed.
Oh, fruit,
Wonderful fruit,
Marvelous fruit,
Glorious fruit.

Fruit, glorious fruit!
What is there more handsome?
Gulped, swallowed or chewed --
Still worth a pet's ransom.
What is it we dream about?
What brings on a sigh?
Piled Apple Fruit Pancakes,
About six feet high!

Fruit, glorious fruit!
Eat right through the menu.
Just loosen your belt
Two inches and then you
Work up a new appetite.
In this interlude --
The fruit,
Once again, fruit
Fabulous fruit,
Glorious fruit.

Fruit, glorious fruit!
Don't care what it looks like --
Fresh!
Over-ripe!
Crude!
Don't care what the farm's like.
Just thinking of growing fat --
Our senses go reeling.
One moment of knowing that
Full-up feeling!

We're going to eat as much,
Fruit that we can hold!
Oh, fruit!
Magical fruit!
Delicious fruit!
Inspiring fruit!

Whisp; A Korbat
By Teela_y

He flutters,
He flies,
beyond the night skies,
escaping day,
though it follows
close behind.

But he has hours!
Oh, magnificent moonlight,
he has time,
and yet still he flies
freely
--whisp--
goes his wings,
--flutter--
see how he twirls!

Marvelous!
Oh great creature,
What are ye?

Your small and round body,
your little spiked tail,
and how you are playful by nature...
Tell to me what ye are?

A Uni?
Nay.
A Shoyru?
Perhaps a cousin,
but something so much more
fluttery,
graceful,
light...
wonderful...

Oh please do not leave so soon!
I've waited all day,
like have you,
though not for night,
but for you!

Yes--
Dawn is breaking,
and you must return to your roost.
I continue to watch,
always in awe.

What be ye?
Simply...
--whisp--
A Korbat...

Hoofprints in the Snow
By Phoenixlyd10012

It's freezing cold as he walks down the lane,
There's nothing but white for it's snowing again,
Icicles lining the branches of trees,
Glitter and twinkle in the chilly breeze,
He takes to the common and cross the snow,
Leaving trails of hoofprints as he goes,
Making a soft and crunching sound,
That seems so loud in the silence around,
He heads for the hill and slides into trot,
Chasing the cold all the way to the top,
Where he stands and looks at the beautiful scene,
Of a country pure white, where once it was green,
He glances behind him, back down the slope,
And sees all his patterns defacing the snow,
Then wind blows a flurry again down the lane,
The cold prints vanish to pure snow yet again,
So he laughs at Jack Frost, his delight mounting high,
And as the snow falls, he rears to the sky,
Challenging the winter to this new sport,
He walks down the hill, but he has one more thought,
He tips to a gallop, across the common he goes,
Once again leaving hoofprints in the snow.

Colors of a Dream
By _Starslight_

Like a rainbow, the colors flow,
What they do, I do not know.
When I have been touched with its light,
The magic within will soon take flight.

Twisting, turning, down my soul,
The shades of red are taking toll.
Orange skies and yellow sweet,
Down they appear on my feet.

Merry green and deepest blue,
What is happening I have no clue.
Purple swirls and indigo curls,
Beauty may last, just like pearls.

Now I feel light,
Elated with joy.
Colors behold!
I am your might!

Dancing, swirling, painting colors,
Disappear with a single tug of my wing.
After all, my paintbrush...
...is just another wonderful dream.

Excerpt from a Sandy Diary
By Indaleciothebat

The Twentieth Day of Awakening.
Dear diary,

The frigid winds attacked my crew,
Yet they continued on
About their work in trained silence
Inside the covered pit
Dug out and sheltered by a tarp
Protecting from the grit
Those that sought to educate
The world waking with Dawn.

The gentle tickings of the picks
Were counting as a clock
The many seconds slipping by
While further on we dug.
Each grain of sand underneath foot
Within the earthen rug
Were moved aside while deeper still
Some chiseled through the rock.

At first we figured, as before,
That like the desert lands
Our luck was running just as dry
And hopes began to fade.
But therein professional patience,
Though willful made,
Paid off as one called out to me
And lifted up her hands.

The aging stone, an artifact
Of ruling kingdoms passed,
Was once again shown light
Cast upon by our oil lamp
While others entered excavation
Site by wooden ramp
And brush's bristles swept across
Historic find unmasked.

I put to pen the scene
t'was set before me when we saw
That what we held within our grasp
Was not a simple block
For engraved onto the stone,
Archaic lore in stock:
Disturbances in Archeology,
When stated raw.

To further on extrapolate
Upon this newfound chore
I shall then gladly write
Unto the University
Of Neopia's History Department so they see
This trip away from classes
That I teach could yield much more.

And so, in closing, for this day's
Events that I record
With tablet piece aside my inkwell
Here upon my desk
I hope that what uncovered here
Will one not think burlesque
For within the Lost Desert
We shall soon find our reward.

Indubitably,
Professor Evan "Relicfinder"
