You are on Page 84
You approach a table,
what kind could it be?
A crowd is gathered around,
suddenly, the crowd parts.
You are in front,
when King Roo
hands you the dice.
At first you just look in your hand in disbelief,
not believing that this moment is finally true,
then you look around and all eyes are on you.
King Roo looks at you strangely,
and motions you to roll.
You shake your hand slowly, then faster.
You release, and the dice fly out of your hand.
All eyes follow the dice until they hit the table.
Good news! You have won!
You get to move on to the next round.
What will come next is only fate's decision.
Slumping on a mountain of treasures,
on Neggs, snowballs and other rare stuff,
the Snowager lies asleep and snoring.
Heart thumping, he creeps into the cave
awaiting the reward or the fate that lies.
A heap of treasure or a blast of ice...
Urged his owner, "Hurry, hurry..."
Making a decision, he crept inside,
the Snowager stirred,
he almost died of fright.
Further down he climbs,
grabbed a thing
unsure of what it was,
dashing at the speed of a bullet
he rushed, ran zoomed.
Light shone on the oval thing,
its mysterious air disappears.
It slipped out of his grasp,
and rolled away.
The Snowager roared,
followed by shards of ice
he stumbled upon a skull
and flew out of the cave
stumbled in the snow,
And There You Were...
I had been in the pound for oh so long,
My first owner dumping me like so much trash.
I spent my time crying like never before.
It was cold and dark and damp in there.
There were other dumped pets lying all around me.
I was not fed the whole time I was there,
And I was slowly starving.
I didn't just have to worry about starving, either.
That nasty guy kept coming in
And taking others away.
You could hear them screaming
behind those cold steel doors.
None of them ever came back.
Then one day he came in grumbling and cursing
And he stopped in front of MY cage.
I knew it was over,
I was going to perish like all those others.
Not only was he starving me,
but he was going to torture me, too.
I gave up and collapsed hopelessly in a heap.
He was half carrying me and half dragging me
to what I knew were those cold steel doors.
I was crying so hard that I couldn't see anything.
But he took me the other way,
back toward the front.
We went through the doors, and there you were...
Love for me was shining out of your eyes
even though you didn't know me...
Thank you for saving me,
thank you for your love.
I love you so much.
hold your head high
as you, so brave,
go into battle.
don't despair for the past
wars won and lost
but not depending
on the fate
one little pet
in the battledome.
pride and glory
keep you going
how can you do this?
cries all around
are ripped from the throats
of the spectators, watching, in awe.
stay brutal and
you have won.
As the Sun Rises and Sets
As the sun rises on Neopia,
All the pets awake.
To eat a heavenly breakfast,
To start a brand new day.
When the sun rises on Neopia,
When the moon has gone to bed.
And the Faeries stop their sleeping,
And the night retreats to the horizon.
As the sun sets on Neopia,
All the pets go to sleep.
To dream of heavenly battles,
To see fantastic sights.
When the sun sets on Neopia,
When the sunset welcomes night,
And the shopkeepers close their shop,
And Neopia goes to sleep.
