KRAWK DAY SPECIAL
Scaled creatures slither
Through the water carelessly,
Mounting upon plant-drenched rocks
For transformation to begin,
New life to bring about,
They watch the others come and go
Coming in and coming out.
Then yea, the fungus, brought about
By owners, nonetheless,
Gleeful that their dreams come true
New pets to sweetly caress,
The plant is pushed into their faces,
"Eat it!" they all scream,
The Krawks take the fungus in their claws
And prepare to face their dreams.
Their dreams of becoming, now bigger,
And powerful, of course,
And now they chew and swalllow hard,
Hoping with all their force.
Will it work? They seem to think
As they close their eyes and pray,
That now they will become a Pet
From Petpet in one day.
Then they grow as never before,
Spikes lining their backs,
Tails transforming and colors galore
And now nothing lacks.
They've got the speed, they changed the looks,
Everything seems right,
And they smile to themselves as they
Leave to face the new night.
Of Beachwalks and Fisherkrawks
With rocks of grit, sands of bleach
Take a stroll down tawny beach
To the waters, you shall reach
And find a little Krawk in speech.
Speaks he of the brawny blue
Where gold dreams are wrought anew
With fishing pole and tackle few
He casts his line and lets it stew.
"Aye," tells he, "the water's fair;
Sniff 'er scent up in yer 'air
Tell me not, is it rare?
Quite the scent, I reckon, I swear.
"Listen closely; 'ear 'er call?
I see 'er brewing up a squall
Lookie thar! What a haul!
Pullin' up water, storm and all."
Out you look, out you see
Indeed there out on the sea
A storm is rolling heedlessly
In it rolls towards you and he.
Cover you take, but not for him
Sit he does at that squall's whim
Call to him you do at your last limb
Listens he not; it's looking grim.
At last he calls, smiling bright
Talks in he a tone of light,
"Don't worry; I'll be here all night!
This storm don't give me no fright!
"For the sea I love, I love the sea
Nothing else brings me such glee
Stay here I shall till morning three
That I know I guarantee."
Silent in his corner sat
Perched on malformed rock
Lithe in form and bold in brow
Bleak had been his many days
Laden with his tears
Time had spoiled his sanity
And embraced his fears
From his dreary place, this Krawk
Empty of a fire
Looked upon the fortunate
With a strong desire
What for he could friendship be?
What in fact was love?
Lonely as his rock sat he
'Neath the stars above
Many lonely hours spent
Gazing o'er head
Birthed his dreams and filled his mind
With hope not with dread
As he fantasized of these
Beauties yet unfound
His sweet thought was quickly caught
By an amazing sound
The Krawk stood quickly, senses keen
Excitement stirred in his claws
His grey scales quivered in delight
At what a sight he saw
Rainbows raced before his eyes
Circling 'round his stone
The Krawk's grey heart was filled with joy
No more was he alone
A faerie, bright and beautiful
Appeared before his face
Her wings were iridescent and
Her skirts were lined with lace
She held his hand and took him up
Through yonder sky they flew
Inside the Krawk was filled with joy
He no longer was blue!
Remember, those who sit alone
And those who may be grey
You must not fret for every pet
Has its own special day!
Happy Krawk Day!
Quest of the Krawk
Twisting and turning through the sapphire flow,
Oars rowing and pulling; the dance of gold.
Hoarding the Dubloons, treasures all aglow,
Sea spray whipping his face, so crisp and cold.
Abandoned ship, the lone rescue vessel,
Red like the sun and fast like no other.
Curling, rocking, the waves he does wrestle,
Dodging the death mines - swerving another.
Dubloon sinks, through the ocean so deep,
Mines surround the brave Krawk,
Shadows are gleaming, so close they do creep,
Dark paradise; the enemy so hating.
Solitary Krawk - the continuous quest,
Shimmer of yellow, forever obessed...
The Creation Of A Krawk
Hidden far from watchful eye,
Where waves first meet the shore,
Nestled in the cliff face deep--
Lies fabled cave of lore.
Gather there do pirates all,
Come with treasured wares,
Golden trinkets, weapons too,
They'll trade with all who dare.
But this is not the only thing
For which the cave is known,
For magic fungus grows within,
Lush across the stone.
Krawks -- the tiny Petpets go,
With owners clinging tight,
To seek out fabled Fungus Cave,
And set their form to rights.
A mouthful of the foul plant
Is all that it takes,
A blinding flash of emerald light,
And a Neopet awakes.
With glinting scales and cunning eyes,
And that disarming smile,
The Krawk, it can be fairly said
Is a most charming reptile.
