A Hidden Tower Purchase
By Flamebaby386

What wonders lie within this tower,
expensive toys of gold and lace,
collecting dirt and dust and fuzz
all while I fret and frown and pace.

For certainly I can't afford
such magical and priceless wares.
A faerie doll? Well, look at that!
For sure this must be awfully rare.

And what could that be, over there
that glimmers dimly off the floor?
The sword of Skardsen? Well, how nice,
but wait, you say there's even more?

A bagguss bomb, some glowing dung,
a crystal ball, a battle duck,
wow, these are great, but I forgot!
I'm out of points, that's just my luck!

What am I to do right now,
surrounded by such pretty things?
I guess I'll have to wait and save
and see what my hard work will bring.

But then, at last, I catch the sight
of a strange object out my eye,
affordable and awfully cute,
a soft squeezy tombola guy!

Perhaps it's not a rare item
that glows and burns with fighting power,
but I enjoy my new purchase
and rather like that Hidden Tower.

Ode to King Kelpbeard of Maraqua
(by a Slightly Overoptimistic Bard)

By Schefflera

Kelpbeard! O Kelpbeard! The greatest of all!
King in Maraqua's magnificent hall.
Kelpbeard, your people will come at your call,
With you to guide us, our enemies fall.

Kelpbeard! O Kelpbeard! Your powerful tail
Readily thumps on a shark or a whale.
Kelpbeard our King has our foes turning pale
Right to the edge of their very last scale.

Kelpbeard! O Kelpbeard! Away from the isle
Far from where pirates the sea can defile
Heed we your rule far beneath what is vile,
Building and living in peace all the while.

Kelpbeard! O Kelpbeard! Rejoice we still!
All of Maraqua bends glad of your will.
Gladly we work your wise orders to fill;
Never from your rule shall we suffer ill.

Kelpbeard! O Kelpbeard! Your stories we'll tell,
Ringing down ages like clamoring bells.
Greatest of creatures build greatest of shells,
Just as you've rebuilt the place where we dwell.

Kelpbeard! O Kelpbeard! Long life to your rule!
Deep underwater where sunbeams pierce cool,
Honor with fin and with gill and with tool,
Kelpbeard, our leader, from New Year to Yule.

Vira: Deceptive Beauty
By Scarvogue

Beauty in its deceptive form,
Quenching midnight's thirst
Cackling eyes, penetrating reality,
I speak of an Acara cursed

Thrown away her beauty,
In exchange - a fate untold
Sitting in the voice's grasp,
Let now, this story unfold

Vira wanders the fields by day,
Beauty becomes sinister by her touch
Cannot escape this vile nightmare,
All of this is just too much

Longing for her preceding visage,
She seeks the Witch with a heart of black
A cold voice from the shadow emerges:
"There's only one way to get your beauty back..."

The Land of the Sun
By Cats9723

Coltzan's land, the land of the sun,
Lies just beyond the horizon,
When three becomes two and two becomes one
In the shape of a desert mirage.

What was lost and now is found
Hidden by the sand
The very first paws that touched that ground
Could only gaze in awe.

The city fair and steepled did rise
Filled with princesses fair
Sakhmet's fair princess does look on from high
Surveying her beautiful city.

Vendors sell and many pets shop
Urchins weave through the crowd
Here a Tchea they might lift off
Without any particular notice.

And the ones that visit will come again
Simply to gaze on the sunset
From mountains to woods to fairest glen
To gaze on the land of the sun.

Sleeping Month
By Wintermint_1012

Now that December has come and gone
And the New Year has begun
From the mouths like rivers stream
The yawns of everyone

The snow has fallen in blankets
Of the purest pearly snow
The snowflakes fall in lace bouquets
In a waltz-like intricate flow

Wrapped in fleecy patchwork quilts
Snug at home sweet home
Dreams of the season to awaken
When blossoms bloom from loam

Slumber deep while lullabies
Drift softly through the crisp night air
A calm like a hypnotic trance
When dawn breaks unaware

For a month your thoughts will rest
In starry silver clouds
Until the horizon shows the sun
You'll sleep in frosty shrouds

When you wake you'll find the month
Of sleeping has gone by
And left you with soothing memories
Of enchanting lullabies
