Winter in Neopia
By Laurelinden

For frosty drifts of swirling snow,
For warmth of fires all aglow,
For icicles and wind's moan low,
To Terror Mountain should you go.

For ground spattered with leaf and shell,
For twisted paths and Edna's spells,
For ghostly sound to chiming bell,
Then to the Haunted Woods travel.

For winter filled with golden sand,
For scorching sun across the land,
For sweet cool drinks and skin dark tanned,
Spend winter in Lost Desert land.

For smooth sea winter with the tide,
For new season than on topside,
For to see fish colored as if dyed,
Down to Maraqua deep decide.

For winter decked in blue and red,
For bright flags waving far ahead,
For trumpets when to rise from bed,
To fair land Meridell do head.

For roiling winter on the sea,
For sailors singing merrily,
For icy wind and warm-hot tea,
Spend winter on a Pirate galley.

For brightly colored faerie crowd,
For chiming laughter ringing loud,
For mornings with a white mist shroud,
Try winter in a Faerie cloud.

For every land does celebrate,
And put up ornaments ornate;
Though each land has a different style,
To visit each would be worthwhile!

The Darkest Faerie's Ballad
By o0anime_lover0o

Come all ye that are faint of heart
Come all of ye that fear me
Come all ye creatures of the light
Come ye that dare to see me

The ocean's mighty hand
Of it I finally broke free
Their shackles bind me no more
As Neopia is soon to see

Come all ye creatures of the darkness
Come with me and join the fight
Come and let us take a city
For it is the stronghold of the light

I warn thee creatures of Neopia
I warn thee creatures of the light
Do not interfere with these plans
Or feel the Darkest Faerie's might

I curse thee mighty Brightvale
I curse thee valiant Meridell
I curse thee on all the land
In which their shadows fell

I curse thee with malice
I curse thee with vanity and spite
I bless the mighty Werelupes
For I add them to my might

Not even mighty Fyora
Who defeated me long ago
Not even she can save you now
Of this I surely know

Come with me ye creatures of the darkness!
The hour of shadow is nigh!
The time of light is over yet
And darkness shall reign on high!

A Broken Dawn
By Gingerbreadandcream

As morning stirs, afresh, dawn breaks,
Sun rises over the hills and the lakes.

The wind arouses a medley, fair,
Hear the chiming of a rainbow rare.
The rhythmic percussion of the gumnut tree,
Contemplate the rondo of the free.
Hear the gentle swaying of the maple bower,
Join the ballet of serene flowers.

Tempted and sheepish the Shoyrus join hands,
Dancing to mingled music of all the lands.
The Chia are laughing by the lea,
The Lutari in unison are waltzing in the sea.
Bori in the circle, shamelessly blithe,
Eager yet agile and secretly swift.

All join the merry dance till dusk falls,
At which they retire to majestic halls.
Tired and famished are they that night,
"Till tommorow" the Eyrie depart in flight.

As morning stirs, afresh, dawn breaks,
Sun rises over the hills and the lakes.

Golden Rules For Baby Neopets
By Guinea_piggles

'Tis often said by otherbeasts,
And trust my word 'tis so,
There are certain manners,
Which Neopets should know.

All Neopets must behave themselves,
From break of dawn till night,
Tug their ears, touch their spikes,
In general be polite.

Bid all creators time of day,
Don't interrupt their word,
My rule is Neopets may be seen,
But very seldom heard.

Neopets must wash face and paws,
Before one ventures out,
And in one's bag a tissue keep,
With which to wipe one's snout.

Never eat food noisily,
Say please and thanks when able,
Remember to excuse oneself,
Before one leaves the table.

If Neopets heed these golden rules,
They grow up good and true,
Early to bed, straight to sleep,
And don't hide when bathtime's due.

A Jetsam Journey
By Bestfriends4ever866

The ocean spanked the shore
Very barren and cold--
Jewels of twilight woven
On the cobalt surface gold.
The waves did yield to,
To the pierce of a tail
Penetrating the sea foam,
White and flawless yet frail.

Fin broke the luminous glass
Breaking it in fragments.
Yet it kept trail on
Heeding not the sea's lament.

Soon a creature was seen
Triumphant, bold strong.
Belly rotund with sustenance,
Gaze; penetrating and long.

After the moonlight waned into the dusk,
The stark sky closed its eyes.
Then the creature emerged into ocean's depths
Until the tide was to rise.
