The Unlabelled Tin Can
There is a special treasure
That no one talks about
This thing's not very shiny,
Sometimes I feel great doubt
Upon its worth I put much stock
To get these things, I am in hock
Out of my mind I'd like to block...
The Great Unlabelled Tin Can!
I know you don't believe me,
That this could have much worth.
But inside every tin can,
Is something to unearth.
It could be dry, or even wet,
Enough of these cans I cannot get
All my points I must have spent
For The Mysterious Unlabelled Tin Can!
If I only had an opener,
Electric or by hand.
I would unleash their mystery,
Across Neopian land
I do not care of what's inside,
Be it meat or fruit that's dried,
My mind is lost I have no pride
Because of The Unlabelled Tin Can.
At night I spend time dreaming,
Of delicious things to eat.
Of Ummagine jam, Pyramibread,
And Baked Intesteen, what a treat!
When I wake up, what can be said?
I walk over cans, to get out of my bed
To give away I'll have nothing,
But cans when I'm dead!
Those unwanted and special,
I have more than a room full.
Will someone just help me,
Open up one I'm fearful.
I will go crazy not knowing,
If there's something that's worth full...
DEVOTION to the Unlabelled Tin Can.
Potato Counting Challenge
One potato, two potatoes,
Three potatoes, four.
I'm in a World Challenge event,
And I'm counting potatoes as they soar.
Five potatoes, six potatoes,
Seven potatoes, eight.
I'll play once more
So that I have a good tally,
Because it's getting kind of late.
Nine potatoes, Ten potatoes,
Eleven potatoes, and now I am done!
Now let me submit this score of 198,
Such a high number counted
Surely means I have won.
So now I sit here refreshing my screen,
Waiting for the my challenge to be complete.
Clapping my hands, I chuckle aloud,
"198! I can't be beat!"
I refresh one last time and what do I find?
Someone else counting potatoes
Finally submitted their score.
Scrolling down I see someone
Counted 2 more than me.
Well I guess it's not that late
For me to count some more.
One Stormy Night...
Who pushed crazed Hoban from the damp ship,
Waves washing onboard and rain pouring down?
Did they make out that he did simply slip,
And did not even care that he might drown?
Was it Kentari, first to leave the meal,
Checking that all the weapons were in place?
Was it Bonju, the knife that he did steal,
Cleaning all the dishes without a trace?
Was it Linae, distasteful of the food,
Saying that Hoban had an evil fate?
Was it Anshu, that did have several feuds,
Angry and unable to even wait?
Who committed the crime on that foul night?
But it seems only time will shine the light...
Ode To Caylis
In the darkest depths of the ocean
Its secrets even to Maraquans unknown
Throughout the midnight blue waters
A silent shadow swims alone.
A graceful shape in tattered rags
With light lilac hair that streams out behind
Deep blue eyes that should've been beautiful
If they were not haunted
Of past things cruel and unkind
An Aisha that glides through the watery depths
Banished from the one place she called home
Hated by all and made bitter and twisted
She is as lonely as the silent oceans she roams.
By day she lingers by her old city's walls
And pretends not to care
That she can never go back
But at night her guard drops and alone she sobs
Tears shed for the joy she now lacks.
She is chased by nightmares
Which keep her from sleep
But I shall tell you this:
Though she seems not to care for her solitude
The loneliest Neopet in Maraqua is Caylis.
The Lost Navigator
Oh my dear Hoban,
Where did you go?
Did you fall into the sea?
Alas, I do not know.
The captain had to dock the ship,
On an island full of Krawks,
Shumi headed to the storeroom,
And left the door unlocked.
Orrin said he heard a splash,
During Hoban's cursed storm,
After when the Aisha was gone,
Many questions began to form.
The captain asked the crewmates,
If they knew where he might be,
Without the navigator on their side,
They could not sail the mighty sea.
All had an alibi,
One as solid as the next,
The mystery was unsolvable,
Was the ship under Hoban's hex?
Linae the Kougra of Kou-Jong,
Bonju the ship's best chef,
Anshu the Ruki doctor,
And Kentari as the last one left.
Which one did the deed,
That sealed Hoban's fate?
Maybe Orrin aided in the plan,
Or perhaps Shumi the first mate.
Does the sea have the navigator?
Will anyone ever know?
Oh my dear Hoban,
Where did you go?
