The Cyodrake's Gaze
Beneath the sun, beneath the stars,
Above the land and over sea,
A mighty ship is seen afar,
Glinting in morning's first gleam.
A breeze gusts across the sun-dried land,
White wings begin to unfold
With a brilliance like a burning brand,
Speaking of stories that remain untold.
Beneath a veil of fine spun fog,
Beneath a shroud of mystery,
It traverses through plain and bog,
Rewriting Neopian history.
Steaming up the river it comes,
Silhouetted on a rising sun,
The sails begin to flap and thrum,
And the children begin to run.
Jumping and shouting, screaming with glee,
The little ones run through a smoggy haze,
For the ship of their dreams they can finally see,
A ship called the Cyodrake's Gaze.
Out of the Horizon
Out of the horizon sails a star-crossed ship
Of exotic design and unknown origin
Watched by denizens of the isle of bandits,
Among curious eyes and whispered fabrications.
The Cyodrake's Gaze
Makes dock not far from shore,
Its run-down crew appearing for the first time.
Captain Tuan, sturdy and strong,
Wonders what's in store
As the first inquiring pirates
Take to the stern to climb.
While approaching this great captain,
The scouts are shocked
To silence by what they see,
And hope will be revealed.
They inquire of the captain
How he came to be here docked
But are met only with terse introductions,
After which his lips are sealed.
Perhaps a little coaxing is due
To draw forth the tale of their trek
But try as they may, not one
Of the pirates succeeds to impel.
Oh, what great mystery awaits
Aboard this anomalous deck?
Only time, and chance, might tell.
The Disappearance of The Cyodrake's Gaze
The shadowed dusk does soon dissolve,
The darkness fades to gold.
Pallid sunlight hits the waves,
The dawn doth now unfold.
The Weewoo call shall echo forth,
So slow, the island wakes.
The Pirate realm does come to life,
As vibrant daylight breaks.
A mystery comes with morning light,
A puzzle none can solve.
Upon the rocking waves, a ship,
And now does tale evolve.
Exotic, foreign, whispers tell,
The rumours did abound.
These strangers were from lands afar,
So word did spread around.
What wonders came on drifting tide,
Such things that none had seen.
A strange new game, a healer too,
And new and odd cuisine.
Such fables told from this new crew,
A journey, gone awry.
An incident on angry seas,
Had left them high and dry.
All did wait with baited breath,
To learn more of this case.
Then vanish did that foreign ship,
Soon gone... without a trace.
What became of what we knew,
Would something come to light?
Something strange shall loom ahead,
What will next dawn ignite?
A New Plot...
A flash on the news, a word or two,
And a picture that tells almost nothing.
Instantly click, to a new-born ship,
(The artwork on there must be stunning!)
To go as far as you can, you speak to Tuan,
A Gnorbu who looks rather worried.
"Can I try to help?" he gives out a yelp!
And starts to tell a worrying story.
It went away, left us astray,
Wondering what all this is about.
The Neoboard buzzing, ideas are soon forming,
"THE SHIP'S BACK ON MYSTERY ISLAND!"
We learn that an Aisha, the Gaze's navigator,
Has jumped or fallen off ship!
So, we ask Kentari, "What did you see?"
And he says that Orrin's a witness!
Orrin saw him fall, from the porthole,
And Bonju is acting quite strange.
Linae says Hoban's a bad omen,
(he did fall into the ocean!)
No wonder he's missing, no change.
But as soon as it came, it's gone again,
sailing the seas (or the sky).
But don't let it go far, there's a new avatar!
With many ideas left to try.
Neopets is on fire! With rumours to inspire,
Including a hoax -- a plot by Dr. Sloth?
Or a useless old plot?
TNT knows, we can only suspect.
Now the ship's in the sky!
(Who knew it could fly?)
Off parked just by Faerieland.
Now we know of a broken crate,
Bonju was cleaning plates!
It seems mysterious, and maybe planned...
Let the theories go on!
THE PLOT HAS BEGUN!
What will happen?
Where will the ship reappear?
Roo Island? How many more?
The Cyodrake's Gaze IS HERE!
One Stormy Night...
Who pushed the crazed Hoban from the damp ship,
Waves washing onboard and rain pouring down?
Did they make out that he did simply slip,
And did not even care that he might drown?
Was it Kentari, first to leave the meal,
Checking that all the weapons were in place?
Was it Bonju, the knife that he did steal,
Cleaning all the dishes without a trace?
Was it Linae, distasteful of the food,
Saying that Hoban had an evil fate?
Was it Anshu, that did have several feuds,
Angry and unable to even wait?
Who committed the crime on that foul night?
But it seems only time will shine the light....
