Moonlit Uni
By Nuttybuddy5

Staring across the distant land
underneath a darkened sky
safely sheltered, by nature's hand
silent, beneath the stars

Flowing mane of grayish white
against a body of pearly moon
ghostly still and shining bright
listening, to nature's song

The leaves begin the stir and dance
and by his hooves they twirl
interrupting his kingly stance
awakening the dawn

Underneath the rising sun
hooves pound against the earth
blending in, to the sky as one
wild and untamed

Gliding above the hardened earth
free of worry, free of fear
running alongside nature's mirth
flying home.

The Whisperer
By Razzthe_spazz

The whisperer;
Both wise and fair
Sitting in her secret lair
And so, she says,
You've come to me
Seeking the truth of what is to be
She seats you by her fireplace;
The flames are dancing
on her face,
She sings of battles fought and done
She tells you of battles
just begun
And still she talks,
Though gentle day is now hostile
night.
You listen as she spins her tales
Of warriors and dreadful gales
Then the room grows still
and her voice grows
low
She says; Your exact future
I do not know
But I see a wand, a scruffy cloak,
A battered shield, a staff of oak.
Your eyes grow wide with wonder,
You don't know what to say
You never thought your future would turn out
to be this way.
And yet here you are, famous today,
For you took her advice and never let
Your independence sway
And now you have a potion shop in Meridell
Bu why you started it you just won't tell
And the whisperer still lives in her lair
Still as wise as she is fair.

Song of Nereid
By Songful

Amid the ocean's swelling screams
Where silver spray meets with the tide
A lucid song -- the tune of dreams
Expands toward the beaches wide.

A sound of wonder, flying free
Grows with the wild and looming surge;
As soft-spun whispers of the sea
Decline again to re-emerge.

And far beneath the wind-tossed fray
The melody sparkles, unbound;
To brace against the stormy sway
And bond with ocean's cadenced sound.

A flash of flaxen hair, eyes bright
Reveals the maiden, glowing blithe;
As gentle evening greets the night
And whirls along, carefree and lithe.

Her words -- the rhythm light and sweet
Soar yet with wind's unearthly cries;
Where land and sea in concord meet
And look toward the star-swept skies.

Psellia, Dreamer
By Judith_sm

Psellia, dreamer, with flame in your eyes
With marble-hewn arms
And a stone face that cries
To all of your followers: "Don't pine for me
I am with you, if you wish to be
An idealist
A rememberer
A dreamer"

Psellia, dreamer, with wide-flying wings
Flowing dark hair in luxurious rings
A beauty for sure, but a maiden with heart
A queen in demeanor -- never a tart
An idealist
A rememberer
A dreamer

Psellia, dreamer, with hardly a tale
Of heroic deeds or of daring travail
With only a statue to mark your deep soul
Pitted with cracks, and perhaps the odd hole
In an idealist
A rememberer
A dreamer

Psellia, dreamer, with flame in your eyes
With marble-hewn arms
And a stone face that cries
To all of your followers: "Go on and fight
Reach for the stars, and do all that's right
Be an idealist
A rememberer
A dreamer"

The Sinking Day
By Dreamhazer

The slick span of the Eyrie's wings
Sliced through the light in a stark
Contrast of darkness and sky.
He soared in the curve of a scythe
Between peaks of piqued sunrays,
Sliding on the expanding planes of
Shadow with the horizontal angling
Of the sinking day.
'Twas not but the sun the slowly dipped
Under the horizon in accordance to
The Eyrie's ominous flight
Fair Maraqua sank as well.
And now a city is left to the sea
Preserved with this embalmer's devilries.
Bitter salt and murky water
Blur the lights
Souls like lanterns in the murky perma-light.
And those who live
They blanch and pale
And wonder about their new gossamer veil
Thus, 'twas the fate of Maraqua sunken and bent
By an ancient curse and a hurricane hymn.

But New Maraqua still bristled with pride
Awaiting resurrection the pull of the tide.

As Maraqua waited out this fated end
An Eyrie circled and watched the goings beneath
The pulse of every wings' sickled beat.
