TUSKANINNY DAY SPECIAL
A Ballad for Little Timmy
From desolate past came fresh-faced youth
To make himself a life.
Remembered uttered words from friends,
"Don't get yourself in strife!"
Struck up a friend in yonder inn,
A quick and witty Bruce.
Who taught him cards with all his tricks,
Soon ready to be set loose.
"Now listen well," the Bruce intoned,
With words of warning wise.
"For when we enter tournaments, you'll
Meet people you'll despise."
Together they played and sought their luck,
To face opponents strong.
Their rivals laughed with smiles so smug,
Thinking youngsters don't belong.
But luck was on this small pet's side,
And his deadpan face was blank.
Masters of Cheat became quite wary,
As all their winnings shrank.
Stunned they were, and gasped in shock,
Staring at small Tuskaninny.
They won't forget this name too fast,
Small and young, Little Timmy!
Ode to the Tuskaninny
Your whiskers are so long my friend,
It's often hard to find their ends.
Your tail is floppy, almost too big,
Your hair looks like you wear a wig.
Your nose is often much too pink,
Your eyes so big, can you even blink?
Your flippers short, your belly fat,
Your mouth just like a pussycat's.
Despite these flaws that you possess,
Your heart is true I must confess.
Your smile makes me laugh out loud,
You entertain the saddest crowds.
Perhaps your whisker length is for,
Skipping rope, or tug-of-war.
Your tail for swimming, or making waves
Your hair for little kids to braid.
Your nose to smell what some can not,
Your eyes to see what some can not.
The sun rose and shined for day,
The Neopets awoke,
The music in the air was sweet,
The pets waited, provoked.
The rippling sea lined the view,
Perfect for display,
The pets waited for a show,
Only for today.
A commotion awoke the waiting souls,
As a Tuskaninny took a leap,
Above the silent waters cold,
Then landed in shining deep.
The others followed jumping, dancing,
A beautiful display,
The show was based on one appeal,
Tuskaninnies at play.
They twirled as ribbons on waves,
And like faeries, flew through the air,
The sun and sand and glossy sea,
Treated the performers with care.
After long, dark approached,
And at last the show was done,
But the audience will remember it always,
The crowds' hearts they've won!
Fire Tuskaninny Clan
On arctic sheaths they dwell and rest,
Here doth their life unfold.
A Fire Tuskaninny clan,
Like flames amongst the cold.
The icy surface makes for fun,
They dash along, then slide.
A playground made from glaciers,
Provides the perfect ride!
And when the sunlight filters down,
They bask in pure delight.
Sunbeams shimmer on their forms,
Creating gleam so bright.
The fin of tail seems to gleam,
Breathtaking, such a sight!
As if the creatures move in flame,
Tones glow as if alight.
For fiery patterns do they wear,
In gold and orange shades.
A vibrant crimson like a flame,
Which then to charcoal, fades.
Against inferno colored gleam,
Those tusks of clearest white.
Harmless though they seem so sharp,
They glisten, long and bright.
Upon the ice this fiery clan,
Do dwell, it's often told.
It's Tuskaninny paradise,
Like flames amongst the cold.
"Yar" says the fierce, Tuskaninny sailor,
As he loads his ship,
Full of stolen goods,
It's time to begin his coastal trip
From Neopia Central to Krawk Island,
There and back again,
He makes his rounds to and from,
Each time, collecting ten.
"What's in the barrels?"
He asks his pirate comrade,
Grinning like a snake
"Who knows, but if they're on someone's ship,
They'd be worth to take."
So they unload the boat,
Careful to not get caught
They can already smell the gold,
They know it'll be a lot.
Back on his own pirate ship,
They begin to set sail,
Leaving behind empty barrels,
Without leaving a single trail
One more successful steal,
He's still a Tuskaninny pirate sailor
Once again he's managed
To escape the Neopian jailor.
