I'm There For You By terra_caligo

You wake up and find me there
I gaze up at you, tail wagging,
eyes pleading, but you simply walk past.
That's okay,
I can understand that
sometimes people are busy
and have more important things to do...
I sleep by myself
tail curled around me
trying to keep warm
without my owner there to hug me.
When the creak of a door sounds
and you walk in, looking as wondeful as ever.
I run over to you, a smile on my face
but you simply step over me...
But I'm patient.
I can wait.
Pets are like that. We can wait all day.
So I curl up in the corner
and wait for you to play.
Nighttime.
I chew on my paw, not caring anymore.
Why won't she notice me?
Why won't she play with me?
Doesn't she love me?
Doesn't she know that I,
of all the things in her life,
will always be there for her,
when she needs me most?
How can she just ignore me like this?
Several weeks have passed.
The pound is stuffy and cold
I huddle in my cage,
trying to make myself invisible to all.
The owners shoving
their little fingers through the bars.
"Leave me alone," I think,
"You don't like me
you'll NEVER like me!"
I'm here for no one...
Sometimes I close my eyes
and try to make a new life.
Try to imagine her sweet face once more,
but it never comes,
because I'm here for no one.

Enamorado el Scorchio By bibbity

The sun blazes in the Neopian sky,
casting its rays on a land lush and green.
When a bright iridescence catches my eye,
the most wonderful creature I have ever seen.
For words to describe him, I was at a loss.
So I indulged myself taking in every detail:
his eyes were the color of newly sprung moss;
head to tail, he was studded with emerald scales;
His wings looked of silk, so fragile and thin,
but I knew they were strong
and could keep him from harm.
Then he turned 'round and saw me, gave a big grin,
ran toward me and jumped right into my arms.
I hugged him and said, "How are you my friend?"
and he laughed and hugged back,
and he didn't let go.
I savor each moment, hoping it will not end.
I love my little pet, the Scorchio.

Dark Faerie By aznloong

The waning moon,
So high in the sky,
Waiting for her,
Calling to her,
She stands, proud and regal,
Casting her shadow over the land,
Like a spell,
Weaving in and out of,
Minds,
Hearts,
Dreams,
She stands, cunning and beautiful,
Her sharpened wit surpassed by no one,
Her radiating face glowing in the dim moonlight,
Folded wings come out,
For a night over her domain,
The moon is so far away,
Yet so close,
Creatures shudder and bow beneath her,
As she passes through the lonely night,
A butterfly, wrapped in moth's clothing,
Dark Faerie, it's your time now,
Spread your darkness over the land,
Spread your wings and fly,
For until the break of dawn,
This is your domain.

The Portrait of an Aisha By agapantha

Cold and vibrant
Her skin shines
Like the sun hitting
The blue blue waters
Of a tropical lagoon
Her red collar stuns me
And the mark of an Aisha,
An "A"
Stands at her throat
Her long slender ears
Projecting from her head
Like the fine antennae
Of a glorious butterly
Her tail, sweeps and flicks upwards
As if teasing me
And the shadow across her face
Further marks the finnesse of her features
She stands like a queen
Amongst a background of commoners

The Hidden Life By saria_airas

Clever eyes,
a nimble step.
Ears always perked and listening
waiting, watching for a sign
of what others may miss.
Slipping through unnoticed when fancy pleases,
being noticed when fancy blows opposite.
Those same eyes hide
The true intent.
Eyes of a predatory instinct.
The straight face always curved
into a mocking smile
it hides the emotions from strangers.
Not betraying any feelings
by masquerading under a sly face.
The Wocky slinks
but never shirks.
Smiles,
but always the same way.
