YURBLE DAY SPECIAL
Everyone's Best Friend
Growling, snarling, yelling fiercely,
Scowling at the sandy throng,
Fur of sullen red and orange
Cast a shadow dark and long.
"Argh!" he shouted in a frenzy,
"Move the left block, not the right!"
Workers fearing retribution
Strained and pulled with all their might.
Growling, snarling, kicking, screaming,
Thrown at last from Foreman's post.
Those that cowered from his cudgel
Stood tall, laughed, and drank a toast.
Months he trampled through the desert,
"Hire me NOW!" became his roar.
But all were unsympathetic,
'Till he came to Altador.
Growling, snarling, cleaning fiercely,
Mop in hand and fire in soul,
Janitor of Hall of Heroes,
Helping others reach their goal.
Bob the former Yurble Foreman
Growls and mops with smoldering brow.
"GRR!" his catchword, stating simply,
"You're the one I'm mad at now."
Tale of Scaredy Yurble
The terrors rise as day crumbles to dark,
And shadows move in tangles on the street.
Wind swims through leaves
With menace of a shark,
Your palm begins to sweat and heart to beat.
The forgiving warmth of sun ices to cool,
With hurried step, your knees tremble in fear.
For now's the time when darkness wakes to rule;
Pressing in both distantly and near.
Flee, you Yurble! Run, race shadows home!
The darkness moves forever at your back...
A patient hunter, it stealthily does roam,
Waiting for the moment to attack.
But though you run, Yurble, both fast and fleet,
You cannot cut the shadows from your feet.
Plushie Yurble Hugs
In a chair by the hearth,
Far from life's busy rush,
Sits a faithful old friend,
My Yurble of plush.
His fur is soft and worn,
His yarn hair is a muddle,
But in spite of it all,
He's the best pet to cuddle.
While we all spend our days
Hurrying madly around,
When I want my plushie Yurble,
I know just where he's found.
In my cosy Neohome,
In the comfiest spot,
He's curled up on the couch,
Drinking borovan, nice and hot.
Always happy to see me,
And welcome me back home,
He has the kindest Yurble heart,
Though all his filling is foam.
My dear plushie Yurble,
Is just as soft as he seems,
His fur makes a great pillow
To dream Neopian dreams.
A Yurble and his Mop
Far within a distant realm,
In Altador, so grand.
Upon the peak of highest hill,
A hallowed hall doth stand.
The sanctuary of the brave,
The home of statues tall.
And one small Yurble with a mop
Is left to clean it all.
"Wipe your paws when walking here!"
You'll hear his angry roar.
Take a second look, my friend,
You've seen him once before.
Something in that furrowed brow,
Or strands of orange hair.
He looks familiar, you admit,
But when, you ask, and where?
His mop is clutched in angry fist,
He stomps from room to room.
Cleaning dust that swims around,
So hidden, in the gloom.
As statues stand the chosen ones,
The brave of Altador.
In the corner, Yurble dwells,
His mop trained on the floor.
The Yurble Way...
I go looking for a Yurble
Sadly every Yurble day
Same old tale
Same old story
You hear it often when you're young
How Yurble Raider got away
It's a real exciting story
First ten times you hear it told
Out there stealing
Caught by Kass
Yet he managed to get free
But the story soon gets old
All the other species out there
Have famous pets of their same kind
Kaus have Kauvara and Kalora
But Yurble Raider is the only Yurble we can find
I am working on a theory
Think that it just might be true
That you've met
Is a hero in some way
They just hide the things they do
Yurbles are so strong and brave
And they are so very cute
Maybe fame is not their thing
Their own horn they will not toot
Yurbles just don't want the credit
They prefer that others get the fame
They will help, but they do it so discreetly
You will never learn their names
If you go looking for a Yurble
No need to wait for Yurble day
You will never learn the truth
I think that's just the Yurble way.
