Darkest Faerie Rising
By Dark_goddess_rising

A purple net of magic wraps around the globe,
Its origin a dark one who wears a faerie's robe.
A Spyder does the weaving
And the laying of the web,
And from its threads dark magic
Doesn't seem to ebb.

Her blackened web is tainting all the land around,
Falling are the creatures
Who tread on tainted ground.
Thye twist, they turn,
They writhe in her dark grip,
They serve a will of evil,
Commanded by her whip.

An empty void a shattered dream,
Our memory is gone,
Her tyranny is long since passed,
No orb of hers has shone
Her evil in these recent years,
The fear of her is lost,
For no one can remember
The darkness and the cost.

Tomes and treasures, forsaken are they all?
The history is missing,
And none dare to take the fall.
No tales remain, no stories
Of those fateful days,
Now Neopia can't remember
The terror of her ways.

Lapping waves, they kiss Maraqua's ragged shore,
Beneath the tumult seaweed dances
And the waves brave sailors lure.
A forest made of weeds, a grainy floor of sands,
A watery grave for the bane of our world's lands.

A darkness is rising from the depth of the sea,
A dark queen freed from her tomb must be,
For a thousand years have come and gone,
And a new reign of terror is about to dawn.

The Carnival
By Flutterflies

The Carnival of Fear
Fairground of fright
I'll show you a leer
That'll turn your socks white.

For here there be crooks
Who will cheat you the lot
So check every nook
Or you'll lose what you've got.

Swindlers are plenty
And they charge you twice
If you're over twenty
They ask you for thrice.

The Wheel of Misfortune
Oh what a joke
The name's opportune
But you'll just end up broke.

Like jellied eyeballs?
'Cos that's what's in store
If it flies, seeps or crawls
You can trust us for gore.

Next when you come 'round
The Haunted Woods town
Forget not the grounds
Of the Carnival clown.

Hissi
By Cataclysmic111

The Hissi, slith'ring snakish thing,
With serpentine body and scaly wings,
Is most likely, I would bet,
Neopia's most favorite pet.
You watch, they'll claim that title yet!

How can anyone resist,
Their softly charming little hisss?
And surely no one can forget,
The way they hold their heads erect,
As if you owe them your respect.

Their golden eyes hold much appeal,
You stare into those eyes and feel,
As if you've never seen something
As shiny, golden, and pristine,
In anyplace you've ever been.

Just remember that Hissies are special, it's true,
They can charm anyone: Me, him and you!
So I leave you now with a message learned:
Their claim to fame the Hissies have earned!

Balthazar the Bounty Hunter
By American_tabby_cat

The infamous hunter of faeries is here
That makes all great battlers tremble with fear.
Prowling around with his heart full of sin,
He lurks in the darkness with a big, evil grin.

With eyes always watchful for glimmers of light,
He quietly slinks in the forests at night.
Yes, if you have guessed, it is indeed he,
The ominous Balthazar I fear it must be.

Hidden in shadows, a net in his grasp,
He springs upon faeries before they can gasp.
Laughing with glee and his eyes full of greed,
He drops them in jars,
Their cries met with no heed.

Sobbing, now hopeless, and glum as can be,
The faeries all wonder how they'll ever be free.
Only a pet that comes skipping on by
Can buy them from Balthazar
And release them up high.

But for now, the large beast of a monster he is,
Examines his bag full of faeries claimed his.
Wearing a smirk, he stops at a tree
Quietly whispering, "Happy Lupe Day to me."

Sasha's Dance
By Anjie

Sunbeams rest on cymbals gold,
They gleam with molten sheen.
Sasha holds her hand aloft,
And shakes her Tambourine.

Softly, softly, music hums,
The rhythmic tune begins.
Lovely Sasha gives a laugh,
And with such grace, she spins.

Twirling as the song goes on,
Her long skirts whirl and flow.
Altador soon comes alive,
As all watch dancer's show.

Frenzied now the beat becomes,
She swings swift to and fro.
Ribbons stream with every spin,
Like liquid rainbows, flow.

Dancer, Dancer, move with grace,
Your motions do enthrall.
Prancing as the sunbeams fade,
Near ancient city's wall.
