Wilfred, the White Weewoo
By Alyndasgallery

Whenever you write, you draw or create,
For the paper that we call the Times.
Do you ever wonder, just who gets the job,
Of reading those thousands of lines?

Oh the Neopets staff, they'd like us to believe
That the job goes to one of their staff.
But we have uncovered what really goes on,
For a Weewoo, they get the last laugh!

Can you think of a better way to open a letter,
Than a super sharp, strong little beak?
Can you think of a worker that is more efficient,
Than a Weewoo, who makes not a peep?

Meet Wilfred, the Weewoo who works oh-so-hard.
His feathers are fluffy and white.
He sifts through the entries, day in and day out,
And his typing you'll hear through the night.

So the next time you enter
Your best written verse,
Remember who's reading your words.
For it's Wilfrid, the Weewoo,
Who'd like to remind you
Of the the wonderful talents of birds!

The Scorchio Mummy
By xx_crying_inside_xx

Intensely beats the furnace high,
And covers land unkempt and dry,
While grains of sand move with the gale,
Entrancing yet in ghostly veil.

The blocks of stone set coarse and bare:
Sturdy, old -- the mummy's lair,
All gathered up and built to last,
To harbour secrets of the past.

And groans within the hidden beast,
In darkness yet he seeks to feast,
A threat to none yet treat with care,
For to go inside -- none would dare.

This being fierce and filled with dread,
To all hope has shied and fled,
Wretched in his rotting dress,
Or just a creature in distress?

Jerdana, Imprisoned
By Schefflera

One of Twelve of Altador
Guarded city, guard the door
Bright protector, wise with lore,
Sorceress from days of yore

One of Twelve of Altador
Locked the traitor with her Orb
Hid her under ocean's roar
For a thousand years, no more

One of Twelve of Altador
Slowed the time at city's shore
Feared the Sleeper's rise and war
Planned to wait and help once more

One of Twelve of Altador
Now is chained behind a door
Holds her tongue through torment sore
Come and help, Roberta, Tor!

Beautiful Grey
By Shelbster118

Sitting here and all alone
In a world of my own
Sad grey eyes might tell my tale
My talent, strength, all destined fail

Once I was a beauty queen
My violet coat was filled with sheen
Curling silver for each horn
Faerie wings swift swirls adorn

Meridell's dainty Ixi star
Flying to cities near and far
Showing off my grace and glow
A beauty none could ever know

Yet time began to take its toll
I was no longer a young foal
My dazzling hooves lost all their sheen
Once golden eyes faded to green

My lustrous fur was clouded grey
Quite wondrous wings crumpled away
Now here I stand equally proud
But lost are the eyes of the crowd

When you see me don't feel remorse
My life has simply run its course
Instead think of all my old years
Rejoice for me don't shed your tears

Gnome Tome
By Dreagoddess

Gnomes go outside your Neohome.
There's many types that you can own.
("Own" just doesn't quite rhyme with "home",
But we'll pretend it does.)

Bruces, Moehogs, Kougras, Draiks --
All have gnome-forms you can take!
(Not "take" as in "change your shape",
But you can go buy one.)

They sure like gnomes in Meridell.
Why there's a Skarl, I just can't tell.
(If you have one you'd like to sell,
I'd sure like a Jeran.)

Halloween gnomes aren't so rare.
Turn your garden to a lair!
(If you do it on a dare,
I promise not to tell.)

Just what does a gnome do all day?
They can't run, jump, laugh, sing, or play.
(Don't listen to what people say --
Gnomes really aren't scary.)

That's about the end of this tome
On the care and habits of gnomes.
(There should be more, I know,
But I can't rhyme anything else with gnome!)
