CHOMBY DAY SPECIAL

Chomby Park Escape
By Brilliance109p

Gates swing open, free and thrust,
Forest grounds, fertile and lust,
Sky above shines glowing blue,
Fruits of wild and pretty hue.

Suddenly, a thump so deep!
Slowly plodding, steady creep,
Chombies in a great stampede,
Finally out and finally free!

Out the gate and to the plains,
Never to return again,
Frolic, jump and dance and twist,
Songs unknown, an endless list!

Tired of bars and places to be,
Tired of cages and captivity,
Now following their sweetest dream,
Their rightful home is calling them.

Thudding, stomping, far away,
Through the bright and sunny day,
Traisping in and darting fro,
Freedom is not far to go.

Leaving Chomby Park behind,
Visitors scream and run to hide,
The very sight has made them pale,
Chombies from this careless jail!

And watch them dancing by with glee,
Running wild and running free,
Free at last from stuffy places,
Free at last from peering faces.

Spin about and out of sight,
Soon will come the humble night,
And they'll be sleeping by the sea,
Their hearts cry out to what is free.

Curious Chomby
By Numbertwelve

Late at night as Chombies sleep,
A youngster wanders from his home,
Amongst the snoring herd he slips,
The night is young -- he's off to roam!

Curiousity keeps him moving forward,
Soon he's wandered far away,
Curiousity brings him misplaced courage,
His parents have warned him -- do not stray!

But oh! What's that? That distant light,
A fire faerie's taken flight!
And in a moment has vanished from sight,
Just a tiny flicker in dark of night.

And so the Chomby marches on,
In search of adventure to sate him,
He's lost all sense of direction,
Travelling this way and that on a whim.

In the distant he spots a faint flicker,
And quickly he's back on the faerie's trail,
Rushing amongst the trees and the brush,
Excitedly wagging his tail.

Then into a clearing he sees her,
The fire faerie -- like a delicate flower,
She perks up defensively as he approaches,
Always wary at such a late hour.

But the Chomby is smiling --
Seeming harmless enough,
So the faerie flutters to him,
And softly she sings:

"You're a long way from safety,
And so there I'll take you,
We should hurry you home,
Before your parents awake!
I'll stay there beside you,
A new friend to guide you,
We'll have great adventures,
This promise I make!"

And so -- curiousity satisfied,
And a fire faerie as his guide,
He slips back through the darkness,
To his home -- and then inside.

There he lies in bed and drifts off to sleep,
While in the window sits a fire faerie,
A newfound friend and his to keep!

Beginnings of a Rockstar
By Dottie27A

Sitting alone in Tyrannia,
A lonesome Chomby dreams.
He dreams of the sounds,
The lights, the fans
Screaming out his name.

Walking down the path,
The Chomby begins to hope,
He hopes for today,
For once, for a moment,
To finally get his chance.

Standing in the ticket line,
Someone begins to say,
They say how happy,
How exciting, what joy,
The Fungus Balls have arrived.

Stepping out onto the stage,
That lonesome Chomby beams.
He beams for the crowd,
For himself, for this chance,
To finally fulfill his dream.

Hitting that final note,
The crowd explodes in applause,
Applause for the concert,
For the music, for the Chomby,
A brand new star is born.

The Search for a Chomby
By Alyndasgallery

If you go for a stroll 'cross a great ancient plain,
It is likely you'll hike through some rugged terrain.
You are seeking to find a Tyrannian land,
Where history waits to take hold of your hand.

You rise over a hill and behold, what you see!
A Tyrannian jungle, as old as can be.
There are houses and shops
Made completely from stone,
And natives whose clothing are covered in bone.

These sights are all grand
But you seek something more,
A pet whose legend you have heard of before.
Into the great jungle you launch with a cry,
"Eureka!" you squeal, as a Chomby walks by.

With its gentle nature and rather large feet,
The Chomby stops eating and pauses to greet.
It stoops as it lets you pet its great head,
And opens its mouth and here's what it said.

"I thank you for visiting my ancient home,
Most Chombies do like to be left well alone.
Quiet creatures we are, that you can well see,
But that doesn't mean that we aren't friendly!"

All of a sudden the jungle grows dim,
You've lost track of the time
And the Chomby, it grins!
With a smile and a wink,
It drops down to one knee,
"Climb on!" And you do, as quick as can be.

What a ride! What a thrill! What a wonderful time!
It places you down, in the blink of an eye.
He is gone, in the jungle from which he had come,
You begin the trip home, your mission is done!

The Glacial Chomby
By Anjie

Crystal-glazed is bleak terrain,
A chilling wind haunts icy plain.
A realm of bitter cold and snow,
Its ridges frozen long ago.
For one will freezing cold suffice,
A Chomby, formed from solid ice.

When winter storms form and unfold,
His icy form repels the cold.
A diamond glitter, standing out,
As snowflakes shimmer all about.
So regal does that neck extend,
To find leaves hidden at bough's end.

Those Chomby footprints, cast in white,
That icy form, reflecting light.
The winter sun does stretch and warm,
A welcome glow lights Chomby's form.
Translucent shape, so very tall,
Such icy gaze that spellbinds all.

In kingdoms made of jagged ice,
Where chilling glimmer does entice.
So gather those of Chomby tribe,
A sight that none could quite describe.
A place where frozen forms do thrive,
The Chombies formed from ice survive.
