Why the Mynci's Tail Curls

Myncies are known for their cheek,
For not thinking before they speak,
At the beginning of time Myncies were rude,
Putting other Neopets in a foul mood.

To everyone they would make remarks,
All through the day 'till it got dark,
Being offensive and impolite
Was the way Myncies got their delight.

One day a Mynci went over the top,
He annoyed a feisty Kau and wouldn't stop,
Myncies had these long straight tails,
The Kau picked him up as he started to wail.

Kau took him to the tallest tree,
And tied him by his tail for all to see,
The Mynci's tail was stretched all day,
And no more comments did he say.

The Kau came back and took him down,
The news of the Mynci was all over town,
The rude Mynci's tail was stretched like string,
With a coil and a bounce it gave a great "spring!"

And that tail was straight no more,
It had a curl that you cannot ignore,
And now all Myncies bear the reminder,
That they should be an awful lot kinder.

Volleyball

Up and up and up it goes,
Twisting wildly through crystal skies,
Up and up and up it goes,
Watched keenly by two Mynci eyes.

Then down and down and down it comes,
Twirling, swirling, a dizzying dance,
Down and down and down it comes,
And Mynci prepares offensive stance.

And then it comes within his reach,
Spiralling perfectly and he leaps,
Delivering a most devastating serve,
For in this game, they play for keeps.

But his opponent is up to the test,
Returning the serve with equal skill,
When Myncies play beach volleyball,
The game becomes a test of will!

For who can hang on longest when,
There seems no end in sight,
The game could stretch from breaking dawn,
Well into darkness of the night.

So gather 'round and crowd the stands,
And watch this game they love to play,
Gather 'round and cheer them on,
Come celebrate -- it's Mynci Day!

Starry Mynci Playground

Scattered moondust, falling star,
Pale light dwelling where they are.
Magic creatures dance along,
Caught up in merry twilight song!
Tails link over crescent moon,
Myncis in the sky are strewn!

Celestial, these creatures seem,
They march along the moonlight beam.
Each Mynci moves in eager swarm,
And constellations, do they form!
Such coat of inky, midnight blue,
A starry pattern dusted through!

On vibrant moon path do they clown,
They'll climb the stars and slide on down!
A Mynci playground in the sky,
Where merry creatures tumble by!
On evening breeze they slide and spin,
Within the stars so all blends in!

For starry Myncis, here's the place!
A ballroom held in shadowed space.
"Here comes the dawn!" is sudden cry,
From those who match the midnight sky.
When twilight comes, you can be sure,
Myncies fill the sky once more!

Hot Dog Stand

One day on the beach, bathed in Neopian sun
After tireless hours of volleyball fun,
Hubert the Mynci a thought did explore --
Hot dogs and corn dogs in flavours galore!
He set up a stand and to all did proclaim:
"Hot dogs! Eat hot dogs!" And the Neopets came.

For hot dogs in every shape, color, and size
(And tasty corn dogs served up with fries).
Hot dogs with onions or mustard and relish;
Or bacon deluxe, double dung, or plain radish.
There's creamy and spotted and brain,
If you please;
Chilli, megachilli, and chilli with cheese.

And the beautiful colors, some Neopets say,
Are cooked into starry, pink, faerie, grey,
Glowing green, rainbow, and polka dot.
And for those spicy fans, try flaming hot!
Veggie lovers so happy will be
Of mustard and tofu, kelp covered, and pea.

Finally, for the sweet tooth devoted:
Sundae deluxe and chocolate coated;
Strawberry flavoured is so very dreamy,
But oh that cookie dough is so very creamy.
"Hubert, I'll take a hot dog!" my Neopet shouts.
I click and I click but the dogs are sold out.
