SYMOL DAY SPECIAL
A hole, a hole, a Symol Hole!
By an ancient tree-trunk's bole!
Digging deep must take its toll;
Should we reach in with a pole?
It's true, it's true, they're everywhere!
These Petpets really make me stare.
If you've secrets, then take care;
Even so, they'll soon be there!
Anywhere they oughtn't be,
There we'll soon a Symol see.
Maybe one or two or three,
Look, there's one, beside the tree!
What on earth could be inside?
What was in that hole to hide?
Is it narrow, is it wide?
Is it someone's secret pride?
Here we see that Symols delve,
And there's no way their work to shelve.
Be there one or be there twelve,
They will do it all themselves!
Under earth now moist with rain,
Deeper than eyes glaring range.
Tunnels woven with great skill,
Alien methods that seem so strange.
No scant light nor airy breeze,
Penetrates this place of night,
For those who abide down here,
Can see so clear as if in light!
Small but yet so strong--
Power from years of work.
To what avail do they build,
So many tunnels through eerie murk?
A hidden population,
Disguised by earth above,
But if they were to be found,
We'd find a great Petpet to love!
The Symol Hole
A quaint and dainty Symol Hole
sits quietly along the way
beside the mighty Turmaculus,
but just far enough away.
The Petpets come, the Petpets go
after venturing through that space;
it's that mystery that captures us
and keeps us coming back each day.
Which Symol made this pretty ditch
of which we like to visit?
For I admire such gentle work
and everything that's in it.
Blessed is the town of Meridell
and the places here and yonder,
so thank you, little Symol
for this little hole of wonder.
Secret of the Symols
What is that going into the ground?
Digging a deep hole all the way down?
'Tis a Symol, it makes not a sound,
But many are they, burrowing all around.
In Meridell, that medieval land,
The Symols grouped into a band,
And a tunnel was dug to protect
They precious home from evil intent.
That first hole worked well and good,
Till everyone else knew where it stood,
And sent their Petpets down to look,
With hopes of finding some treasure too.
The Symols were disturbed and upset,
Soon embarking on another project
To dig more holes that didn't look to be there,
So no one could guess where they were now at.
To Neopia Central some would go,
While others travelled to where it snowed,
A few went where hot dry wind would blow,
Into the Haunted Woods, some ventured alone.
Deep into the ground they dug,
Soon forming tunnels joined in part,
Creating a network secretly tucked
Down below without visible mark.
Thus when you pass that usual bush,
Or step on slushy icy ground,
Or spot a pile of sand somewhere,
Or a bunch of twigs lying around,
Remember that Symols might just be
Laughing at your clueless proximity.
The Symol Hole
What lies within the Symol Hole
Remains a mystery,
Is it an ogre, giant or troll?
It's just too dark to see.
The endless, pitless Symol Hole
Could hide a fallen Uni foal,
A lost and lonely frightened mole,
Or torn and twisted tortured soul,
Perhaps a spell or ancient scroll,
A long forgotten totem pole,
A magic ring a thief once stole,
Or even just a lump of coal.
What lies beneath the Symol hole
Deep in the ground below
Will always be a mystery:
We just will never know!
