The Court Dancer
Oh who is she, so fleet of foot,
With skin like silk and eyes like soot,
And hair like freshly fallen snow,
King Skarl would really like to know.
She pranced into his court one day,
They say she stole his heart away,
And in his place she left a fool
Who was no longer fit to rule.
Some came from kingdoms far and wide
To see her graceful turn and stride,
Her lavish skirts and scheming smile,
And Skarl gazed speechless all the while.
Her mother was a gruesome hag,
In ugly, tattered, humble rags,
She knew the problem and sent an answer
In the form of her daughter, the Court Dancer.
With tambourine and chiming bells,
She wove a most deceitful spell,
The poor became a suffering mass
Under the attack of the evil Lord Kass.
So heed this warning, listen well,
Should you venture to Meridell,
A hush has fallen over the court,
As the dancer dances and the battle is fought.
The Kadoatery Cry
Feed us! Feed us! We're hungry you see,
Perhaps a sandwich or milkshake
Will cease our plea,
We are stuck here in cages waiting for food,
Maybe you could come here
And do us some good!
A burger, a veggie, a hotdog, a pizza,
If you walk to our cage
With some food, we'll greet ya,
We're starving but we crave
Only one type of snack,
If you bring us the wrong one we'll turn our back!
Okay so we're picky, but we get very lonely,
If we don't get our food we'll sit here moaning,
Please fetch us a meal! Do a good deed!
We're poor little Kads, and we have needs!
Left here by our owners on holiday,
For food and snacks and help we pray,
Our mewing will only cease once we've been fed
So what are you waiting for? Some food we said!
Send me to sleep
Grant to me peace
In darkness so deep.
No more a restless night.
Save me the task
Of counting Babaas
Until, at long last,
I'm blissfully asleep.
Grant me good dreams,
Not marred by visions
Of Masila's vile schemes.
Spare me haunting nightmares.
Turn out the light,
Spare me the wrath
Of the Bringer of Night,
Guard my peaceful slumber.
Vira the Unfortunate
As sweet as wine,
As bitter as lead,
Just come, remove,
My real mask,
To know the real,
The beautiful me.
The mirror shows,
The unsharpened blade,
The rotting lily,
The other pets tremble,
At my terrible name,
The name at which,
I cannot lose.
The only one,
The forgiving one,
The only thing,
That reflects my face,
That which I love,
Is labeled bad,
When none was meant,
When all was tricks.
They all call me,
Vira the witch,
Vira the vain,
The true nature of words,
Is it a crime,
To love my face?
Is it a crime,
To be myself?
A Faerie Quest
Oh happy day!
"A quest!" I say
Illusen's Glade, I'm on my way,
For loyally I will obey
To find her fruity swirl souffle!
And here I am,
A quest at hand!
It's going exactly as I planned.
And now I search throughout the land
To bring it back as she commands.
So off I go
Through rain and snow,
I'm searching high and searching low,
And carrying my bag of dough,
To me, her prize she will bestow!
Oh where, oh where!
Wait! That's a fair!
Surely I will find one in there!
But now the crowds I must beware...
So fight I must to Market Suqare.
Oh I am proud
And I have vowed,
As I make my way through the crowd.
"What?!? 60k?" I say aloud.
Too much! I'm off to Jhudora's Cloud!
