TYRANNIAN VICTORY DAY

Nightmare of Tyrannia
By Really_awesome_d00d

Thunder ripples behind clouds
In the dark Tyrannian sky.
Booming out across the land,
Rumbling up so high.
The shadow of a monster
Is cast across the barren land.
Stomping down on mighty boulders,
It reduces them to sand.

There is a mighty bellow
From the terrifying beast,
Tyrannians began to scream;
They are not calm in the least.
An eye of malignant gold shines
Down upon the pets below,
Lighting streaks around its head
Like a less than angelic halo.

Roaring like a tidal wave,
It slams down with titanic might,
Shakily readying for battle,
Tyrannians prepare to fight.
Their morale is shaken, as are they;
Can they even survive?
Through a battle with a giant,
Will they remain alive?

The monster crushes all beneath
Its great, spike-ridden tail.
Its might is even to pierce Tyrannia,
Who appears sick and frail,
Pressured beneath the oncoming attack,
The soldiers cannot win,
And yet they cannot flee
The lopsided battle they are in.

Heroes brave and bold step up
And hope to end the life
Of the Monoceraptor,
Who has not ceased in causing strife.
With swords of light and shields of gold
They strike forward in a duel,
But the way the harp of life is played,
Its strings are played too cruel.

No hero can hope to win
Against the fearsome giant
Casting its shadow 'cross Tyrannia
Like a dark and wicked tyrant.
But stepping forth from the chaos
Comes a hero like none other.
Can he avenge Tyrannia
For every sister, every brother?

Striking up his weapons,
He engages in the fight
That will last through many hours,
Throughout day and night.
And finally, the beast is slain,
It topples to the ground.
In victory, Tyrannia's triumphant horns
Begin to sound.

The hero fades into the night,
A blank and unnamed face,
Who rescued poor Tyrannia
With great courage and grace.
Unspoken and unsung,
Where has our hero gone?
Maybe, one day, we'll see him,
Emerging in the dawn...

Ugga-ay!
By Mythen_Eventide

They came from far, they came from near,
All Tyrannian pets were here,
So very hairy with many a fang,
From Chias to Kaus, they all gathered and sang,

"Ugga-ugga. Aka-ay!
It's Tyrannian Vic'try Day!"

Young and old, weak and strong,
They all joined in simple song,
Stretched across the sandy plain,
They chanted it, again and again,

"Ugga-ugga! Aka-ay!
It's Tyrannian Vic'try Day!"

And those in the Jungle could hear,
The Tyrannian's primitive, pride-filled cheer,
They joined in louder than before,
The chant now echoed with deafening roar:

"Ugga-ugga! Aka-ay!
It's Tyrannian Vic'try Day!"

And if you were to travel that day,
And Tyrannia was on your way,
You'd see them dance, and see them play,
But also you would hear them say,

"Ugga-ugga! Aka-ay!
It's Tyrannian Vic'try Day!"

Tyrannian Victory Day Feast
By Kushbi

Feel the drums, the victory beat,
Strong vibrations beneath your feet,
The day has come,
Tyrannia cheers,
All celebrate with jubilee.

Omelettes -- have yours for free,
A larger portion served with glee,
Don't mind the queue,
Just stand in line,
Ignore the sweltering great heat.

Roasted wings, beware the claw,
Chew on it and break your jaw,
A tasty snack,
Beloved by most,
One bite and you'll ask for more.

Doubt it not, Tyrannians' joy
Is eating food all day and night.
What better day
To feast than this
Anniversary of victory bliss?

The Victory Song
By Giligowla_

Victory comes with a price,
Which everyone has to pay,
Yet nobody has looked back twice,
Since the Tyrannian Victory Day.

Many tears were wept,
When we suffered in pain.
Little hopes we kept,
As warriors were slain.

Our own pessimism
Almost forced us to retreat,
But the Grand Elder's optimism
Made us never bow to defeat.

This victory is possible,
With all the prices we've paid.
This outcome may be changeable,
If we didn't follow what the Grand Elder said.

Let us raise our drinks,
And salute our brave warriors.
Their heroism makes us think,
And to curse all traitors.

In times of danger whom can we trust?
To defend our home even when we're sore,
We shall fight again if we must,
And bring peace to our land once more.

Commemoration of War
By Cheetah_kougra

On furry feet, the young Kougra trotted,
Her Tyrannian fur was all tangled and knotted,
She paused, trying to remember
What her parents said,
Every star-speckled night before she went to bed,
About the war that struck her land years before,
How her people felt they
Couldn't live without fear anymore,
But she usually drifted
Into the sweet land of dreams
Before the story of Tyrannia's history
Sank in, so it seems.

She slowly bent close,
Very close to her native land's ground,
Foot prints of all of those
Whose past she had found,
No hints of struggle,
Or hidden stories of unspoken heroes,
Nor did she find anything interesting
Numbering above zero.
Sighing, she plopped herself
Beside a very old tree,
Thinking of the battle
That she had heard of since she was three,
How this was the anniversary
Of a fight that she had never seen,
And the evidence of this conflict
Appeared to be unseen.

What she had failed to notice
Was a result of her young age,
And what she knew of it
Could easily fit on one page;
She didn't see past
What she saw with her own eyes,
Plus she never got the chance
To hear the victorious cries
Of a battle that was won,
Through teamwork and bravery,
Or the enemies' terror on Tyrannians
That cast them as unsavory,
Nor did she see how the victory's anniversary
Continued to proceed,
How it lived through the Tyrannian Neopets
And their good deeds.
