A Sister's Tears
By Really_awesome_d00d

Sapphire waters of the ocean gleam.
Within the waves, the secrets teem.
Of pirates, Maraquans, curses, and treasure,
Of sisterly bonds distance cannot measure.

Perched solemnly on the forgotten rocks
Sits a sobbing seeress with ashen locks,
Unwanted, alone, exiled, and despised,
Watching the kingdom where she was exorcised.

She knows no love, no compassion, no light,
And in her mind is a twisted sight
Of nightmarish ruin and unbridled fear,
That is all that can be seen by this dark seer.

She once was wanted, long ago,
In a nautical metropolis of ebb and flow,
Where she had a sister, a family, a friend.
And with that, her troubles seemed to end.

But she had a talent, one of darkness and fright,
One that made for a terrible night.
Of chaos, uncertainty, and nightmares,
Of dreams that melted superfluous cares.

It was this curse for which she was banned,
From paradise, from her sister's hand.
For her, there is no love, no light.
For her, she remembers every night.

But far away, her sister cries,
Sending up despairing sighs.
She cares for her sister, that is true.
But does her twin sister miss her, too?

Garin's Ditty
By Hermionechochang

Yaharr, me name is Garin,
And a scurvy pirate I be,
Me worthy trade is lootin',
Me glorious realm's the sea.
Yo ho, yo ho, Garin the Pirate is me!

Jacques, he has the privilege,
Of working by my side,
This first mate loves to pillage,
Imbuing me with pride.
Yo ho, yo ho, Garin the Filcher am I!

The Black Pawkeet, me lovely craft,
Soars about the ocean,
She's better than a stale ole raft,
For she flies with such devotion.
Yo ho, yo ho, Garin the Captain I be!

Sing high for Captain Garin,
His deeds are far and wide,
And it's best that ye bewarin',
I might steal from yer dainty bride.
Yo ho, yo ho, Garin the Outlaw am I!

Me favorite treasure is gold,
It shimmers and glitters with glee,
So heed what ye've been told,
Or to the brine with thee.
Yo ho, yo ho, Garin the Rascal is me!

Sometimes I have them second thoughts,
They torment me in sleep,
A lovely creature leaves me distraught,
She haunts me from the watery deep.
Yo ho, yo ho, Garin the Boy was me...

Ode to the Lair of the Beast
By Bhamv8

Oh cave so dark, emitting loathsome smells,
An eerie sense of dread flows from your maw,
Soft rumbles from the black reverberate,
What lies within your fanged and gaping jaw?

Oh road of rock in stony walls entombed,
A twisted path through inky shadows wind;
I follow slowly, step by step I tread,
And shiv'ring wonder what ahead I'll find.

Oh dangling rope, from up above you hang,
A gossamer beheld within this cave,
I grasp the thread, my heart is thrilled with fear,
I climb the cord, pretending to be brave.

Oh hole so black, you lie here at the end,
Engulfed in shadows darker still than matte.
With thumping heart I stop and peer within,
JUMPING JUBJUBS! WHAT WAS THAT?!?

Oh Beast of darkness, terrible to see!
Your taloned wings! Fangs and snapping beak!
Your crimson hide! Your glowing glaring eye!
Your screeching roar, a high unearthly shriek!

Oh panicked flight! You take hold of my feet!
I flee this place, the cavern in the east!
I swear to never come back to this cave,
The Lair that holds the horrifying Beast!

The Song of Stan
By Rumplestiltskin4233

Out among the pyramids,
Beneath the desert sun,
Who is that fleeting shape
That from each tomb to tomb does run?
Out upon the desert roads,
A traveller lost and weary
Might see, like a mirage,
The silhouette of a small Kyrii.

He's devious and he's cunning,
He's as shifty as the sands,
And he never will stop running,
Taking fruit with nimble hands.
He'll use his Kyrii wiles
Stealing everything he can,
So watch out for his smiles,
He's the Kyrii thief named Stan!

Is that a shadow slipping
Over there across the wall?
Was it just imagination,
And there's no one there at all?
But if we look, we'll find
That it's exactly as we feared,
No tracks are left,
And still another fruit has disappeared!

The guards are trying everything,
But Stan's one step ahead,
When they come where he just was,
The Kyrii has already fled!
All those Elephantes can do
Is stand there dumbstruck in dismay,
And listen to Stan's laughter
As he quickly runs away.

The Deep Waters of Maraqua
By Foolses_coolses

Shadows lurk in the eerie depths,
'Neath the rubble of a city once grand.
Ghosts and mutants and slippery beasts,
Infamous across the lands.

Reflections of light leak through the gloom,
Off the fragments of broken glass.
Pillars and statues and sunken rooftops;
Fragments of the past.

A sea slug sits amongst the wreckage,
Guarding the ruins from theft.
Just guarding the seaweed and slimy rocks,
'Cause there's nothing valuable left.

An enchanting domain but fearsome, too;
Few dare venture down there.
A mysterious place with a solemn presence.
The long lost Maraquans' lair.

Maraqua, oh Maraqua,
You could be a city once more.
All you need is a hero,
To bring pride and glory restored.
