Rainbow of Pets By froggirl6

In a world before Neopets...
It was a rainy and cloudy day in Neopia.
And on the TV were all boring soap operas.
When they just started to think
That it was only going to get worse,
The Faeries smiled down on that place
And removed the gray curse.
They spoke to each other and giggled gleefully,
And their laughter made Neopets,
Which rained down for you and me.
They created a rainbow, of all colors imaginable,
Which was so beautiful that never again
Life here would be dull.
The clouds ran and hid, and never came back.
But the water was plentiful,
This they never would lack.
So now when you see a rainbow in the sky,
Look up and say thanks to the Faeries in the sky.
For it was them who created Neopets you see,
And shared them, with you, and me.

About a Lenny By emera_myste

One sunny spring day
It was, I think, the middle of May
A young Lenny asked the wind,
“Will you bring me away?”
“I find my life to be gray.”
But the wind cried, “No, learn to fly yourself
Or you’ll be in a gutter.”
And he blew away without a mutter
The Lenny tried again and again to fly
Until one day, with a flap and a flutter
He was aloft in the air
Before you’d say butter!
“Hurrah!” said his friends,
“Now you can fly far and wide!”
The Lenny flew to tell the wind he was gratified
“Good job!” yelled the wind, “Let’s go for a ride!”
And away they went in the sky to glide

Midnight Intentions... By redz_gurl

The moon is her solace,
Strong wings carry her
To tranquility at night.
Easy winds are the pleasures
Of her rejoice.
Tree tops stand below her,
And yet are the beds
For a long night's rest.
Creatures are asleep when she is restless,
Her mischief she will unravel.
Morning comes too early to her disadvantage,
A haste to get back into her sleeping ground-
Soon before the sun catches her night's blue skin,
The sense of a Shoyru's outline.
On the dew she fakes her waking eyes,
Still a soul has not suspected
Her covered up missions.
If she fails to hide away sleepy yawns
She always depends on lies...

A Soft Breeze By dire18

A soft mountain breeze blows through the prarie.
The grass ripples like waves of the sea.
And through the waves comes a creature.
Tall, loyal, majestic.
Head held high, it glides over the ground gracefully.
What is this creature that stands so proudly,
That moves with the grace of the wind?
Many would recognize the animal as the Lupe,
An ancient breed from the fabled lands of Neopia.
The Lupe holds his head up to the wind,
All the mysteries and ferocity of the wild
Shining through those sparkling yellow eyes.
And as the Lupe stands,
Content to gaze at the beauty of it's world,
A soft breeze blows.
