UNI DAY SPECIAL

My Chocolate Uni
By Gestaltgirl8201

In the window of the candy shop,
Behind the window glass,
There's a little chocolate Uni
Watching everybody pass.

She knows she is the sweetest
Of all the treats within,
And thus feels a bit superior
To all her furry kin.

Her hooves are bright and shiny,
Her fur is soft and warm,
Her mane is long and lustrous,
Her wings are swift and strong.

Her horn gleams like a gold dubloon
Within the morning light,
And her blue eyes outshine the skies,
And gleam like two stars bright.

But she is not for sale,
This treat both sweet and rare,
For chocolate brown her fur may be,
But she resides not there.

She stands there at the counter,
Her Neopoints in hand,
And bargains with a Kiko
Who is known throughout the land.

When they come to an agreement,
She smiles and holds her prize,
As the Kiko counts his Neopoints
With bright, experienced eyes.

And now out the door she trots,
Her sweet deal now is done,
And for my little chocolate Uni,
A chocolate Uni of her own.

To Make a Uni Morphing Potion
By Laurelinden

Feather of down,
(Blue, green, or brown)
New morning dew,
Iron horseshoe,
Clear looking glass,
Blade of green grass,
Such is a Uni
Morphing potion.

Add sour, add sweet,
A handful of wheat,
Powdered Uni horn,
Oats, barley, corn,
A comb and a brush,
A pinch faerie dust,
Such is a Uni
Morphing potion.

Prepare 'neath daylight,
Let sit all night.
Shake and stir well,
(Don't mind the smell)
Pour the remainder
In a container,
And you have your
Uni morphing potion.

Judge Not the Royal Uni
By Kushbi

With hooves a-trotting, here she comes,
Regal and posh, second to none.
In a crimson velvet garb,
This royal Uni preens and pouts.

Some may call her arrogant
And huff that she is vain,
But all is soon forgiven
When she swings her luscious mane.

Ask not for her autograph,
Or if she'll dine with you,
This royal Uni may just throw
A great big fit or two.

Petulant she may be so,
With her nose high in the air,
But look beyond appearances,
You'll find that she really cares.

Friends and foes both testify
To her honest, brilliant mind.
And all her humble subjects know
Those proud displays are just for show.

So when you see this Uni preen
Or trot around with noble sheen,
Remember that she may just be
Weary of all her royal duties.

Tawnia
By Aussiegurl_888

Once upon a summer,
When the wind blew free,
And the palm trees swayed
With such laughter and glee.

The Unis all relaxed
Under the soporific sky,
They sunbathed in the warmth
With their heads held high.

But Tawnia was different,
For she loved to explore,
And despite the sandy waves,
She would stroll along the shore.

On one bright summer morn'
As she paced across the sand,
She found a wooden mask
Nestled in the land.

In hopes to trade it off,
She swiftly galloped away,
To the Island's Trading Post
Where she'd bargain for the day.

Upon setting up her booth,
She placed the mask in front
Just as a Techo stopped by,
Nodding to it with a grunt.

He offered much in gold
For the mask made of wood,
And Tawnia accepted,
Then headed home as Unis should.

That very same night,
A hurricane came through,
Thrashing through the land
And leaving everything askew.

Worried for her friends,
Tawnia ventured outside,
Where at once the wind took hold
And pushed her aside.

She fought against the storm
Until she reached its eye,
Just as a figure leaped out
So sneakily and sly.

The creature had a mask
Just like the one she'd sold.
So the masked-pet himself
Was the Techo, so wickedly bold.

With all the strength she could,
She pushed the Techo down.
The wind tore the Neopets apart
And thrust them to the ground.

The storm outside was gone
When Tawnia awoke.
She started to sit up
As the faerie Jhuidah spoke.

"I saw from a distance
What you did last night!
You were very brave,
And I'm glad you're alright!

"The island was in danger,
But you gave your best.
You saved Mystery Island,
So go party with the rest!"

Uni's Mist
By Moonpranceravenged

Shining in the darkness,
Not many can see,
A beautiful cloud,
As light as can be.

Swirling silver,
And dashing gold,
From this mist,
Steps a myth untold.

Dreamy you may think yourself
When your eyes set upon this creature,
That was never here,
Nor ever gone.

A horn brightly gleaming pearl,
Stood not far from a stone's hurl,
If ever you get that close,
You just might receive a dose
Of the magic surrounding that beautiful creature.

And when you see it's full appearance,
Do not kneel to the ground,
But stand tall and proud,
And behold what wonder it is.

A coat of radiant beauty,
Shining spectrum throughout,
Mane and tail of diamond,
Though soft as anything, no doubt.

This wondrous creature in the mist,
Gold and silver clashing,
Appears before you
To grant you a gift.

Wondrous beauty though it may,
It stays not long,
But floats softly away.

The mist is left behind,
It surrounds you in a daze,
It grants you the gift
That the creature may.

And when the mist
Finally too floats away,
Your gift is clear
In your mind's eye.

You have seen the Uni's Mist,
A gift beyond all to clench in their fist.
