ZAFARA DAY SPECIAL
Zafara Day is finally here!
Let's ring in the Zafara cheer!
Come on in and join the celebration
As Zafaras everywhere express their elation!
The famed Zafaras that are cherished most
Are the Zafaras that have talent to boast,
So listen as truly gifted Zafaras are named,
That throughout history remain unmaimed.
The Zafara Rogue, beautiful and fair,
Who has cunning and is still a secret everywhere.
She resides deep in the Neopian Catacombs,
Where throughout the caves she freely roams.
Kayla the Zafara stands proud and true,
Alongside Jeran, Morris and Lisha, too.
Making potions is what she does best,
Selling them in King Skarl's court
By special request.
Edna the Witch makes her way,
Collecting ingredients to mix
In her cauldron day by day.
Brewing her special potions and brews,
She creates new spooky items she can use.
Lastly, Ace Zafara, rocket extraordinaire,
Goes where no other Neopet would dare.
Against Dr. Sloth he would race,
Throughout the stars in deep space.
These Zafaras celebrated far and wide,
The very meaning of Zafara pride.
Their talents give meaning when we say,
Have a very merry Zafara Day!
What is a Zafara?
Many will ask.
To give a full answer
Is an arduous task.
The Zafara is fearless,
Brave beyond measure.
In wicked deeds,
They do not take pleasure.
In many different hues,
From luminous yellows
To beautiful blues.
All o'er the land
Zafaras do roam,
Over the countryside
And dark, earthy loam.
I've traveled the land
Very far and wide;
A Neopet better than Zafaras
I'll ne'er find.
Ode to a Zafara
Exploring Neopia one afternoon,
I found myself lost in the Haunted Wood's gloom.
The miasma so deep I could barely see;
When a baby Zafara came running to me.
The little Zafara in a whisper so small
Asked if I could help her at all.
It seemed, just like me, she was lost in the haze,
Wandered around as if in a daze.
So we gathered together all of our gear,
And holding hands, I fought back my fear.
Like Mika and Carassa, who travel as one,
Searching out any hint of the sun.
Now everyone knows that Zafaras are plucky,
But that's not always enough,
You still need to be lucky.
I thought the Zafara felt like I felt,
But it wasn't the Zafara that needed the help.
I tried to turn north heading towards Meridell,
But that little Zafara I couldn't compel.
The Zafara insisted we not go that way,
Whispering I should follow; it would all be okay.
So we headed down south
And soon left the gloom,
In the distance I soon saw Sutek's gold tomb.
When I knew we were safe,
To the Zafara I turned,
And only right then, the truth did I learn.
"I'm pleased you are safe here," the Zafara said.
"The Haunted Woods bring naught
But fear and dread.
Now off with you, friend,
Home is where you belong;
I have to return to help others along."
The Zafara, I realized, needed no aid,
It was me the Zafara was helping that day.
So if you are lost in the depths of despair,
Take heart, a Zafara will guide you from there.
Sarah the Great
There's a certain Zafara that you might recall,
A Zafara who gives a new meaning
To the word "know-it-all."
She's brilliant and brisk, broad and bright,
The only thing below par is just her eyesight.
She wears a Slorg on her head,
And a book at her side,
And a set of spectacles
That can be seen worldwide.
She's blue like the ocean,
And has the smile of a Gelert,
Some even say she's appetizing
Like a frozen dessert.
Besides her good looks, she sure has charm,
And just enough spunk to set off a smoke alarm.
She knows all the secrets of Neopia near and far,
And there are even rumors
That she can play the guitar.
Many Neopians ask her questions,
Some quite strange.
She's even been asked
How to blow up a mountain range.
But, if your inquiry is decent,
She'll answer her best,
And if you were to confuse her,
I'd be quite impressed!
So who is she, really, this lively young miss?
I hope she's real, well, she HAS to exist!
I have so many things which I could ask,
But knowing who she is seems like a hard task.
So here it is, the long-awaited finale,
So what's her name? Betty, Mary, maybe Sally?
No, she's the one and only Sarah the Zafara,
And now, I'm off to ask
Where I can purchase a tiara.
No Matter What You Paint Me
You may paint me starry,
And I shall go far,
But I don't need a starry fur
For me to be your star.
You may paint me with Christmas joy,
So we will never be apart,
But I don't need to be an angel
To be the angel in your heart.
You may paint me like a faerie,
Pretty purple and blue,
But I don't need those beautiful wings
To show I belong to you.
You may paint me gold,
Harder than leather,
But do I really need that
To be your treasure?
You may paint me like a plushie,
And I will be cuddly in bed until dawn,
But without it, even in the coldest nights,
I will always keep you warm.
You may paint me Halloween,
The scariest of them all,
But just look in my eyes,
Am I really that fearful?
So it doesn't matter,
What colour you may paint me.
This Zafara is not going anywhere,
It's with you I want to be.
