The Haunted Woods
On this eve the people know,
The Haunted Woods they dare not go.
For witches, ghosts and many ghouls
Are waiting there for such fools.
Darkness lurks throughout the woods,
Esophagor waits to take their goods.
The souls rise from their graves,
The sight of fear is what they crave.
The Fair is filled with creatures unknown,
If you listen, you'll hear them moan.
The Haunted House will make them scream,
On this night of Halloween.
Evil laughs on this night,
As it fills your dreams with fright.
So come to these woods if you dare,
You'd best be ready for a scare.
Court Dancer's Reprise
Ardent in her mystery,
Argent was her fantasy.
To win the prize at all cost,
To her beauty the kingdom was all but lost.
Poor King Skarl was clearly smitten,
But brave Lisha saw no sweet kitten!
Her plan was swift and absolute--
To give the Court Dancer a smiting boot!
Meridell is now quiet once more,
And life goes on much like before.
The dancer's disappeared from good folk's sight,
But beware of that dark and magic night...
It is rumored that once each year,
The wicked Court Dancer you can hear,
As she twirls and shakes her tambourine,
Your spine will shiver; you'll know it's Halloween!
The End of the Month of Collecting
'Tis time once more for the end of the month,
The end of the month of Collecting,
And with the end of this wonderful month,
Come tricks on the unsuspecting.
"A grand night for mischievous Neopians,"
Or so the calendar does proclaim,
On that night come candy and treats,
And many a spooky game!
Neopets dressed in Von Roo capes,
And evil demons run about,
To play tricks on unsuspecting citizens,
Who are on their nightly route.
But with tricks that are all in good fun,
Come ones that are definitely not,
And if you are very cautious,
These evil pranks you'll spot!
So before you dress up in your costume,
And go out to have some fun,
Of all the unsuspecting prankees,
Be sure that you're not one!
One eerie night while the moon was out,
Allanque and I decided to wander about.
Our eve of peace soon turned to a dreadful night,
For we were not prepared for the woeful sight
Of evil clowns falling from the skies,
That welcomed us with deadly pies!
Hideous they were and oh, so very mean,
The most horrendous things we'd ever seen,
So behind a deserted stall we hid,
Snatched up our arsenal, oh yes we did!
The battle was on, this we knew,
And many of those evil clowns we slew.
Umbrellas, arms, legs, skeletons and more,
One by one they rapidly hit the floor.
Still they came, chanting that scary laugh,
Dozens and dozens, yet we stood the gaff.
Covered in toxic goo we continued the fight.
Whatever it took we would survive this night!
Clown by clown we took them on,
Our deadly aim ending their fun!
Exhausted and shaken, we made our retreat,
We hadn't expected an evil Chia clown fleet!
So take heed my friends of what you do,
Or else those evil clowns will be after you!
In the middle of the night,
When you jerk awake in fright--
By terror kept from sleep as there you lie...
Your heartbeat still is racing
From the nightmare you were facing,
Each and every painted Neopet's demise:
Vira, bleak and raging,
With her evil mirrors changing...
The thought of turning mutant makes you weak,
But panting in your terror,
Dries your throat, and so your error
Was getting out of bed to fetch a drink!
So edgy from your nightmare,
That you tremble on the stair,
Hearing in each creak Vira's voice--
A dash to reach the fridge,
Grab a bottle, still on edge,
You didn't even look to make your choice.
Back beneath the covers,
As your racing pulse recovers,
You open up your drink and take a sip.
Disgusting! This was never meant for drinking,
So whatever could it be?
And as you think, your heartbeat skips;
Oh pretty royal Usul,
Your owner, while on a vacation,
Bought a little potion for her shop.
Not Morphing, Healing, Battle, but...
And you know that the process can't be stopped.
You feel your soft fur matting,
All the fine strands tangling, ratting;
You close your eyes and pray that it's a dream,
But only time will tell you
When the sunshine, cheery yellow,
Shines on your face
And makes your owner scream!
