In a cold Eden
of heartbreaks,
sob stories,
and loneliness;
she sits on edge,
sharp claws extended,
teeth bared against
what evils the night may bring.
Is it fate?
A scoffing growl,
from the throat beneath all that
thick, striped fur.
A Kougra of this class
doesn't suffer an alley cat's fate.
Rain pours still, thick and heavy,
vying with her fur
for contact with her already soaked skin.
It is cold, like the night,
like the ground when no one is there,
to bring a blanket, a lantern, anything.
It isn't fate,
decides the bedraggled thing.
She lies down on
sodden newspaper,
almost unconscious.
It's human nature.

The wind passes by,
but cannot flow through
the airy mask of space before it.
While water pours down,
it cannot penetrate the empty space.
No fire can enter the void of air,
protected by an invisible wall.
The Scorchio has screamed his challenge
once, twice,
never thrice,
before the Gelert reappears.
The empty void of air is popped,
as its space is filled.

The Mynci sits alone in a tree.
The Koi swims alone in the sea.
The Uni wanders alone in the
forest admiring the birds and bees.
They are alone and thinking the same thing.
Why wasnt I invited???
The Kacheek sits alone in the flower patch.
The Kougra in a cave.
A Kiko alone in a pond thinks the same thing.
Why wasn't I invited????
The party was supposed to be big enough for 17 Elephantes. So Why couldnt I come??
Suddenly a Gelert runs past saying, "Follow me!!"
So all of the lonely animals follow the Gelert
to the biggest party in history!!
Now all of you owners ring your pets and say:

Comfy snow,
Soft snow;

Soft like moss.
Like pretty silk
That's very delicate.
Like diamonds
Shining in the air.
A quilt made of cotton
Covering the green:
It's the prettiest thing
That nature gives us.
