Neohome Improvement
By Hollypop

So you've just acquired your own plot of land;
You've mown the grass, cut the hedge,
Swept the path, and
Hired in some builders - but what happens now?
You don't want a field only fit for a Kau.

Well firstly you'll need to lay down some plans,
Sit down with your builders,
Get them out of their vans,
And talk about rooms and stairs and design,
About bricks and mortar, and willow or pine.

Then draw up your blueprint
And let them do the work,
Keep checking on them -
Those Grarrls like to shirk!
In time the shell of your Neohome will be done,
But it isn't finished - you've only begun!

Now decide on your colours;
Buy paint and get going,
Then carpet and curtains -
You might have to do some sewing!
When you're done, your house
Will be ever so pretty;
Add a bright garden, and it's the pride of the city.

Next up is furniture - go to the shops;
Try to find bargains, or even do swaps
On the Trading Post - try to make it all match,
And check for the odd missing piece
Or small scratch.

Finally, put everything into its place;
Try to keep a sense of style and of space.
And soon, pets from all of Neopia will roam
To your doorstep, to see
Your gorgeous Neohome.

Food Weapons
By Burritoloco

The attack pea is a surprising sight;
How can such a little thing
Have such large might?

A small veggie held in your paw,
Throw it at your opponent,
This is one powerful green ball!

A potato? What a silly thing for fights,
That is what two Neopets thought,
But when thrown,
This blasts your opponents out of sight!

Found in Meridell, or in your garden,
You would think that potatoes are useless,
Though this starchy tater is
Anything but common.

Meatballs are good, and so is their sauce,
But used as a weapon?
Who would've thought?

Attached to a noodle slingshot,
This weapon is a must!
Though it costs a lot, it sure is fun.

So what have we learned about these foods?
That they sure could be yummy;
But used in battle,
They could do some serious damage!

Uncharted Retreat
By Short_five_cents

Over hill and under ground,
On weary, tired feet,
We'll find an undiscovered place,
An uncharted retreat.

Tiptoe through Tyrannia,
Comb Kreludor's surface,
We'll wind our way through Haunted Woods,
To fulfill our purpose.

There has to be a place for us,
Perhaps south of Meridell,
We'll seek until we've claimed a spot,
An unknown site to dwell.

To find a land that's touched by none,
Our goal to work toward,
We'll start southeast of Krawk Island,
For that space to be adored.

Over hill and under ground,
On weary, tired feet,
We'll find an undiscovered place,
An uncharted retreat.

Meerca Chase
By Lanrin

This game is fantastic, you should give it a try;
Can't convince you? Just read
The rest of this rhyme.
I'll tell you a story about me and the day
That I first gave Meerca Chase a play.

One day, my Neopets and I
Were exploring Neopia, finding games to try.
We found a game called Meerca Chase,
A more exciting game I have yet to face.

I controlled a Meerca with a growing tail,
And followed closely on different Neggs' trails.
I grabbed Neggs happy, rainbow, green and blue,
But avoided the red Neggs; they'll stop you!
Eventually, though, there was grim defeat,
Facing a wall with no retreat.

While leaving, I felt
My bag's weight start to grow,
I looked and saw Neopoints coming in a flow!
I felt so happy that I gave my Neopets a treat,
A nice blue Negg for them to eat!

So have I convinced you yet?
To try this game with your Neopets?
Thrill, speed, and enjoyment galore,
Meerca Chase has it all, and more!

For Larkling
By Savoyard

Many an evening have I spent
Pacing the shores of Kiko Lake,
Watching twilight melt into stars,
Listening to waves stroke the sand,
And whisper their liquid lullaby.
One such night I pondered, restless,
My thoughts mirrored in the thrashing lake,
Wondering if my trail would always be
A single set of lonely footsteps
Without a companion to lighten their tread.
But then--
A whimper came from the bushes,
A high, thin, forlorn sound,
The very echo of my sorrow;
And as I drew near
Its maker emerged.
Like nothing I'd ever seen,
Flopping ears, a drooping nose,
A plump green tail;
However, as it scampered into my arms,
And its dew-bright eyes met mine,
I felt I had known it all my life
As though my loneliness, my unused love
Had been drawn from me
And molded into this peculiar, beautiful creature--
My Blumaroo.
