Beneath the ocean waters blue,
A bubble rises up to the sun true.
She runs, she hops, she turns around;
She wanders in Maraqua
Without making a sound.
A shadow slowly slithers past,
Taking a deep breath, maybe her last.
She dives down, to the lowest place.
Trying to pretend that this is a race.
A little noise, a bubble too,
Perhaps it's a diving Blumaroo!
Around the hard and sandy rocks,
The Acara stands then slowly walks.
A slithering sound,
the Acara turns round.
There stands the giant snail,
The Acara screams, her piercing wails.
She swims so quickly, like she should.
A splintering sound, like splitting wood.
The snail follows, he trails behind,
The Acara thinks quickly in her mind.
Breaking through the ocean top,
The Acara sees the shadow go with a pop.
For now she's safe, but just for one day,
And far on the shore the Acara will stay.
The Jetsam, an evil pet you might say,
Especially since occasionally they may
Snack on a JubJub or a passing Kiko --
Neopets so small that they go down in one go.
But personally I think that Jetsams are cool,
No one would mess with me
If I had one at school!
Bullies in the playground would run with fear,
If ever they saw my Jetsam appear,
It would eat any homework
That my teachers set --
Hey, they wouldn't give any for fear of my pet!
At home it would sleep on the edge of my bed,
And upon the finest foods it would be fed,
It's amazing, really, as far as Neopets go,
I've trained it to sing
And to dance -- what a show!
It entertains the whole family in the evenings,
Doing all sorts of amusing things.
Other than its amazing juggling routine,
It can fight, tell jokes, and even clean!
But then I wake up and find it's a dream,
My special pet falls apart at the seams.
I look at the end of the bed and see
The Gelert that fetches my slippers for me.
"One day," I say to my Gelert friend,
"You'll be a Jetsam and we'll set a trend!
One zap with the ray and you can be him,
My enemies better warn the rest of their kin!"
Benny the Bruce
Benny the Bruce was mighty scared,
He was off to Coltzan's Shrine today.
He wasn't sure if he was quite prepared,
What if Coltzan just sent him away?
Beneath his feet, would the sand glow blue?
Would he find a shiny dubloon?
Would his defence points increase by two,
Would he find a rare item in the dunes?
Or perhaps Coltzan would be disappointed,
And shoo the Bruce back home.
He was no great fighter, no hero anointed,
Just a friendly Bruce who loved to roam.
But Benny pushed back all of these fears,
He gulped and re-tied his shiny red bow.
He would not leave the shrine in tears,
Only a few more steps to go!
Out of the shrine, a deep voice calls,
"Thank you for coming, young pet.
Your courage in facing these sacred walls
Is one that I will not forget."
Then to Benny's surprise, Coltzan smiled,
And left him a bag in the sand.
It was full of Neopoints for his owner child,
And Benny scooped it up in his hands.
He carried it home to his owner dear,
(And returned the map he had borrowed.)
As she hugged him tight for facing his fear,
He asked shyly if he could return tomorrow.
Look in the forest, under a tree,
In a little hole in the ground.
Peek inside and you'll probably see
The newest Neopet around!
47 is its number,
Yurble is its name.
With its horns and fur and shaggy mane,
It puts all others to shame!
It searches for food in the summer sun,
Searching for a Peachpa or two.
When it's done, it takes a nap,
Staring at the sky so blue.
In the Battledome, it's really quite fierce,
With its claws and shield-like fur.
It jumps and rolls and battles hard,
And it'll defeat him or her.
The Yurble is quite an amazing pet,
That rises above the rest.
It needed a home, so Neopia
Is this pet's new widespread nest!
My Neopets still stand weak
And look like forgotten by time,
Although one of them is at level 2,
Thanks to Coltzan's Shrine.
My trophy cabinet is well, so full,
With all my efforts dumb.
Stuffed with dust, that is the truth,
And yes, a dose of glum.
But for the long time I played this site,
I knew a lot of things.
Compared to the first time I saw an Eyrie
With oh so fancy wings.
But then again, the wings paid off,
I am now months old.
I am more curious, much more alive,
And absolutely bold.
So please give way to some of the tips
That I have gotten through,
Whether it's cheap or hard to get,
It's definitely true.
So just read on until the end
Of this useful stuff.
I just wish that they will make your
Travels much less rough.
A daily play of Tombola
Or a visit to the Shrine
Will surely give you a reaction
That is just so fine.
Heal free with the faerie of the Healing Springs
Or spend a minute or two
So you can get the best of items
Rewards from Dice-A-Roo.
A visit to an "icy snake"
Might give you a prize just right.
Or otherwise, might send you off
To a deadly frozen flight.
And at the most, express your thoughts
By entering the spotlights,
Creativity at its peak
Might put up a mindly fight.
Fellow Neopians, follow me,
And my tips so bright and cool.
This poem would help you on the way
As a purely helpful tool.
However, please, don't cheat with rules;
Don't bring shame to yourself,
Or you'll end up with a locked account
And an empty trophy shelf!
