The Lab Ray
Thirteen months ago
When I first started playing,
I discovered a Map Piece.
And soon I was paying!
Thousands upon thousands
For just one item!
Only eight more...
Oh, how I hate them!
I played every game.
Sold all my junk.
I skimmed throughout Neopia.
I even looked in my trunk!
Now I had 3
Only 6 more!
Why aren't they free?
Oh, how I mourned!
Soon I bought five.
And finally six.
I was down to three!
And I received a gift!
The Fire Faerie handed me
A Treasure Map of old
"Only two more!" I said!
And I felt bold!
But the last one was toughest.
I didn't know which one I needed.
Until finally one day,
To my friend, I pleaded
"Please, oh please!
Help me find
The one last piece!
You're always so kind!"
As a Christmas gift
The final piece of this puzzle!
Oh, how I felt relieved!
I said goodbye
To my beloved Kacheek
Thinking that he
Might change species every week!
How wrong I was,
For when I clicked "Yes"
I had found my male pet
And she was wearing a dress.
Why Love A Wocky?
Most girls love Shoyrus, or Kougras, or Unis
Their dazzle and charm
Captures most Neo newbies
The boys love the tough pets
Like Grundos and Skeiths
Who seem to do little but battle and eat
So why love a Wocky, who won't neigh or roar?
So sweet and so gentle, so often ignored
They don't fight like Kougras,
They don't run like Lennies
They're left in the shadows --
Overlooked by so many
A Wocky is loving, and charming, and sweet
Sometimes a bit picky with what they will eat
But they've so much to offer each boy or girl
Give them some time and soon
They'll be your world
Their cute button noses, their soft gorgeous fur
There's no greater reward
Than the sound of their purr
So often sweet natured, and ever so cute
A real pretty kitty, and always a hoot
They're playful and kind, and adorable, too
A Wocky is perfect - just purrfect - for you!
All Neopets rock, but who needs the rest
When my Wockies tell me,
"Thanks! You're the best!"
Ever wonder how that witch went bad?
And why she hates the other faeries like mad?
It began on the first morning of Celebrating,
When the faeries were rising
And dawn was just breaking
Flying out in excitement was 12 year old Jhudora
Failing to see the Queen faerie, Fyora.
Bumped into her she did,
A green paint brush was spilt,
All the faeries were laughing,
Even kind Fyora was smiling.
Poor Jhudora, covered in green, was crying,
Off she went as fast as she could, flying,
Green paint dripped from her hair,
And into her eyes,
Smashed into a tree,
And then she felt truly despised.
From then on, every single day,
While going to school, just minding her own way
A faerie or two would stop just to say
"Hey there goes Jhudora, greener today!"
A Sutek Muffin
One day my beloved Kougra
Said she wanted something to eat
So I went to Neopia Central
To buy her a special treat
I got her a cookie Negg
And a cherry Kyrii pop
But after her third bowl of toe nail soup
I realized her hunger wouldn't come to a stop
I stuffed her with Kau milkshakes,
Jalepeno poppers, too
I fed her 20 chocolate Usuls
But it simply wouldn't do
I took her hunger troubles
To kind ol' Coltzan, and asked,
"Can you give my Kougra something to eat?"
I got a muffin in the desert sun, basked
Giving it to my Kougra
She took a little whiff
Asked, "What exactly is this?"
"Don't know." I said, and sniffed
To be quite honest, I couldn't tell
Exactly what it was
It didn't really have a smell
Though most Neopian food does
My Kougra took a wary glance
At the unidentified, tannish muffin
And carefully took a little bite
But after that, started stuffin'
The rest of that muffiny mystery
Into her hungry face
And when she finished, she grinned a grin
That seemed way out of place
She exclaimed, "It's a Sutek Muffin!
The best I've ever had!
And considering that it's desert food,
It's really not too bad."
She also said that her hunger was gone
I was overwhelmed with glee
I hadn't blown all my NPs on food
(I needed some to spend on me)
So when your Neopet's hungry
Ask Coltzan for a hand
For there's nothing that satisfies your hunger
Like a muffin of blueberries and sand!
That poor beast with his head held low,
A scar from being mocked all his life.
His undead eyes glance down to the dirt
Which he believes is his rightful place.
Like pages in a worn book
That have been threatened by fire
And doused with buckets of water
To destroy its life.
Somehow his suffering beauty
Is too much to think about.
A martyr for his kind,
Why was he painted so?
A perpetual depression is upon him.
Who is he
To break the chains
Of his own sadness?
His maw is worn and weathered,
His claws cracking and decayed.
The young pups run by him
Not honoring his age,
How he was the scapegoat
For all Neopets
And their suffering.
So this Lupe,
In all his wretched honor,
Went down the the Rainbow Pool
To gaze at his own horrid reflection
And wish for a better life.
