KOI DAY SPECIAL
Take Me Home! A Koi's Story
Reminiscent of a land I used to know
A land that now lays deep below
I was born there, a strong blue Koi
But now I'm just a homesick boy
My Master said Mystery Island will do
But all the drumming made me blue(er)
Krawk Island was a scary place
Pirates constantly tried to put me on a plate!
I said, "Master, please... I just want to be home!"
Master frowns and says, "You'd be all alone!
The place you knew is gone and forgotten,
We will find a home soon,
One that's nice -- not rotten!"
Ironically, the next home we found fell;
Right in the center of a place called Meridell
There were houses all about made of dung!
I knew that, there, I'd never belong.
Then one day Master came home elated
She said we could leave the place I so hated!
She had found a place
And I would soon comprehend
Something about a lake,
Tours, and seaweed gardens!
On the boat our tour guide Jake
Told us all about this great Kiko Lake
I peered through the glass bottom
And listened closely
I new I had found my home... finally.
Karpoh the Raider
A young Koi pirate
Karpoh, to be exact
Is on an adventure
A dangerous one, in fact
He swims to Maraqua
Back down to the rubble
Searching for a treasure
Running into trouble
Dodging all the locals
If he is seen that is it
If they catch him stealing
They are sure to have a fit
Karpoh, a promising pirate
He is fast and he is small
Treasure in his eye
He is sure to find it all
So down daily he swims
Into new underwater caves
Pushing back the rubble
Miles under the waves
Some days he does not
find anything of worth
Others he finds a fortune
On this underwater turf!
The Warrior Koi
In long lost Maraqua,
Before the great flood,
Lived one strong young Koi
Born with fire in his blood.
If there was a threat,
It's that Koi they would send,
For his home and his people
He'd always defend.
Then one fateful day,
His world turned on its head,
Maraqua was destroyed
And his friends left for dead.
Still the Warrior Koi
Was so valiant and brave,
He worked tirelessly
Every last one to save.
Now Maraqua is ruined,
Its folks are all gone,
But the Warrior Koi
And his glory live on.
So if you sail into
Uncharted waters, beware,
Near the Bubbling Pit,
You might just find him there.
While everyone else
Has abandoned their home,
This Koi loved Maraqua
Far too much to roam.
He seeks challengers
With hearts noble and true,
But if you are a pirate
He'll be the the ruin of you!
Observations of a Koi
Oh Koi! Oh Koi, you marvellous fish!
Your fins so dazzling as they swish
Inhabiting the depths of the Maraquan Sea
Effortlessly gliding so graceful and free.
Shy by nature and quite illusive,
This aquatic Neopet is rather exclusive.
Lucky owners delight in their play:
Leaping and calling and frolicking all day.
After time spent
Adventuring in underwater caves
They come to rest in the breaking waves.
One sight for sure I'll never forget...
Is the Koi jumping against a red sunset.
This pet one day I'd love to own,
To share in its fun and give it a home.
Intelligent friendly and never bombastic
You can't deny our Kois are quite fantastic!
Raiders of Maraqua
Raiders, be warned!
For Karpoh is on his way
The adventurous little Koi
Can always save the day
Deep in the ruins
The bubbles he will burst
To get to the treasure
Before others get it first
Rocks must be pushed this way
Bubbles over there
Everything must be just right
And handled with great care
Jetsams and Slorgs
Aren't helping at all
By pushing the rocks
So coins hit the wall
But nothing stops Karpoh
To get the treasure in the chest
When his pirate bosses see this
They will be impressed
