My Ode to the Wonderful Chokato!
By Icestorm162

If you ever journey to Mystery Isle
You may hear of a veg
That might sound quite vile
It's called a Chokato, a sight sure to see
There's nothing tastier in Neopia to me

It may sound odd, when I tell you what's in it
But there are grosser foods,
So push yourself to the limit
One half is chocolate, rich and creamy
The other is tomato, for a taste that is dreamy

Let's go see the chef; he'll prepare it for you
There's no better cook than him. It's true
I'll smile as I watch you take the first bite
The confusing concoction is an oral delight

You'll love it if you like gourmet food
Sweet and savoury for any mood
I warn you though, this veg is quite rare
But it's definitely worth it,
If you're up for a dare.

So now you're a convert, one of the group
And you'll soon stop eating
That silly juppie fruit
We've lifted you up; we've given you wings
And now you know the food of kings

Try it on pretzels, in trifle or pie
And, I guarantee, you'll soon see why
We cry from the rooftops,
Though it may seem strange
WE LOVE CHOKATOS!
DON'T EVER CHANGE!

Forgotten Account
By Linkinangelix

Neohome cold and empty,
Garden wild and overgrown,
Stale food left in the inventory,
And four little Neopets left all alone.

A shop that is now a memory,
Battledome items aside were thrown,
The Neopian Times, a thing of the past,
And four hungry Neopets left all alone.

Games that had been neglected,
Petpets all skin and bone,
Neomail box, full to the brim,
And four crying Neopets left all alone.

A beautiful little Halloween Usul,
The cleverest Kacheek that was known,
A Kougra that had skill, brains and pride,
And a little faerie Korbat left all alone.

Neohome cold and empty,
Garden wild and overgrown,
Stale food left in the inventory,
And four little Neopets left all alone.

My Petpet Armand
By Strikersvampires

Into the Haunted Woods is where I tread,
Uncertain of what lies ahead.
Headed into a shop did I,
And spotted someone with my eye.
"Enter good sir, I do thee bade,
What can I bring you this dark fine day?"
A Cybunny wearing a vampire gown,
A perfect sight in this spooky town.

"Just came out the Castle of Eliv Thade,
I'd like to look around, if I may."
"Would you like
A Spyder, Phnard, or Ghostkerchief?
A hider, a lard, or one of mischief?"
Shaking my head I did not like,
Those mentioned nor seen,
All seeming quite obscene.
"Maybe a Psimouse to guide your way
If you ever feel you're going astray?"
"I'm looking for something much more,
Compared to all of those four."
"A Skelly, Slorg or Sludgy, then?"
"Neither any of them, woman."

"Perhaps you would care to have one
That can no longer be found?
One of which that is both
Shapeless and round."
"What is this thing you are telling me?"
Now fully intrigued, I had to see.
She pulled out a box and gave it to me,
"A rotten egg is what I shall give for thee."
"A ROTTEN EGG?!" I said with disgust,
Wrinkling my nose and snorting out dust.
"You've made it this far that you have roamed
So take this Petpet for the journey home."

At first this little egg
Of mine was nothing more,
Than an empty shell and quite the bore.
But behold as it awakens,
Took away my breath and left my hands shaken!
Stirring inside was a shapeless form,
Within the grayed shell dorm.
Peering closer I did see,
Two red eyes staring back at me.
Turning the shell this way and that,
In order to see where the creature sat.

It stretched its arms and yawned real wide,
Allowing a tongue to roll out
From where it did hide!
Black was its coat in shadow form,
Its eyes changed to purple, then red adorn.
I grinned wildly from this sight,
Until, the creature, he did bite.
Howling with pain I nearly dropped it,
But with swift action I narrowly caught it.

"Armand shall be your name,
But in time I must tame!"
The egg walked around with arms outstretched,
And mumbled words so far fetched.
So small he was and fragile, too
I loved him at once, for his kind was few.
Armand cost me little in price I've been told,
And soon I've found to have his weight in gold."

Wand of Confusion
By Ketaralaien

I must've fed Mr. Scary.
I'm being hunted by The Three.
I can hear the Darigan Skeiths,
They're marching into the streets

I read in Neopets News today,
The new expansion's come our way.
I still can't find the Starter set
And buying packs put me in debt.

There's too many players,
Too many people,
Buying too many boosters,
And not enough stock to go 'round.
Won't you please
Trade for my Wand of Confusion?

This is the game we're playing.
These are the cards we're trading.
Use them and let's start praying
That one day our deck ideas will win.

Ooh Fyora where are you now
That Jhudora is on the prowl?
Meowclops, Apple Lantern!
I'm losing contests by the turn!

This is the time.
This is the store.
So we look for the boosters,
But there's not much stock to go 'round.
Say it's not another Wand of Confusion!

This is the game we're playing.
These are the cards we're trading.
Use them and let's start praying
That one day our deck ideas will win.

I remember long ago--
Wizards stores were open,
And we bought their card stash,
For little cash,
And the sound of our laughter,
As we opened packs.
So long ago--

I won't be coming home 'till late.
This is the card store's shipment date.
But I'm not making promises.
There's some cards I may just keep.

There's too many players,
Too many people,
Buying too many boosters,
And not enough stock to go 'round.
I don't want
Another Wand of Confusion.

This is the game we're playing.
These are the cards we're trading.
Use them and let's start praying
That one day our deck ideas will win.

This is the game we're playing.
These are the cards we're trading.
Use them and let's start showing
That today our deck ideas can win.

A Mootix and a Door
By C0v2jn

A sunny day, it lay outside;
Nothing could spoil the time.
Nothing could ruin, rip and rock;
But a problem begin to chime.

A lonely Mootix, left inside,
Was as bored as he could be.
His young owner was out for the day--
And the Mootix had no key.

The front door was locked and bolted shut.
Light streamed through window glass.
It seemed to taunt and tease as well.
The poor Mootix stared at the grass.

He thought up a plan... a daring plan.
He really wanted to go outside.
The more he thought about the scheme,
The bigger his eyes grew wide.

But one little problem lay smack in the middle.
The problem of the locked wood door.
He looked around the living room,
He glanced around some more.
But nothing seemed to catch his eye--
Oh! There was an apple core!

He didn't go in it, as you may think.
He did something else well-planned.
With all his might and his small green head,
He pushed it up a hat stand.

The juicy core fell with a thud.
It was now on the table - next to the door.
What would the little Mootix do?
Read on and I'll tell you some more.

He propped up the core, using his strength.
It leaned against the keyhole.
Finally, he bumped it and it went inside.
The Mootix had got his first goal.

Around and around and around it went.
But it never seemed to click.
The miraculous sound wasn't heard--
Until the Mootix gave it a kick.

The lock snapped open and the bolt retreated.
The door slowly, but surely, slid outdoors.
He could imagine the glorious day in his mind.
He leaped and landed on all fours.

The magical feeling as he stepped outside,
Can never be explained.
But one unfortunate problem occurred...
In that minute--it rained.
