I Want A Royal Paint Brush!
By Voodooruby

I want a Royal Paint Brush,
Of blue and purple hue.
On that little scarlet pillow,
It looks all pretty and new.

I want a Royal Paint Brush,
So a princess my pet will be.
She'll look at Skarl with adoring eyes,
As they sit down for afternoon tea.

I want a Royal Paint Brush,
To swap for an item or two,
A krawk or an ona would do me fine,
So that I would never be blue.

I want a Royal Paint Brush,
To put in my gallery case,
Customers will smile and say,
"My, she does have good taste!"

I want a Royal Paint Brush,
For what I truly need,
Is an item to keep me satisfied,
And take away my greed.

A Bat Boy's Ode to the Sun
By Scarletdevil3

Oh how it makes me sick,
That pitiful sun!

Scorching and burning in its narcissism.
Laughing at me when I venture outside
In the daylight hours.
As it dares to scorch my pale skin.

Its glare, that EVIL stare.
How it tortures my eyes.
Yet, I have done it no harm.

So I must wait, indoors
With my spooky kin,
And wait, for countless hours
For the darkness to fall.

Yes, the night,
Sweet, beautiful darkness,
And that crisp, cool air.
But I musn't get too comfortable,
for that wretched sun shall rise again...

Curse it! Turn it off!
Someone make it go away!

Along Came Sam
By Pgoctupd

In Neopia
Where the shops are in business
And the Neopets are hustling
There was something that didn't seem right
When hearing the bustling.

Out in the crowd, the crowd of danger
Stood out a creature,
No, not a creature,
But a mutant Techo
With the name of Sam.

One by one he would
Gaze into their eyes,
Just waiting
Waiting
Oh, just waiting for one
Of them to say hi.

He walked up to a Meerca
And stuck his hand out for a shake
But then he found out
That was a mistake.

He went into the Food Shop
And wanted to buy a hamburger
But the employee in there
Instead gave him a burger.

Sam then bumped into an Usul
And greeted her with a hello
But instead she stood in shock
And then gave him a frown that was mellow.

Oh, poor Sam!
Not even getting a greeting
What a sad tragedy
For this Neopet that
Gets unfair treating.

Walking alone
In the night of darkness
He sighs with uncertainty
Wondering where he should go.

He walks over to the Neolodge
Hoping for a room
But the clerk told him
That he must be his doom.

Sam ran out
With guests laughing hysterically,
But when he reached the door,
He tripped and started falling.

Getting up, he sprinted
With all of his might
Feeling a burn in his heart
As he hopped on a ride... no, literally,
And clutched on with all his might.

Falling into a sleep
With the wind whipping on his face
He falls off
And snoozed for the rest of the day

Awakening at an unfamiliar site,
Sam sees... oh yes, he sees
A mutant Meerca walking nearby.

Sam jumps up and runs to greet him
And the Meerca
For once in his life
Accepts his greeting.

Mynci Beach Volleyball
By Chickenman1591

Every Mynci loves volleyball,
They play it from Spring all through Fall.
They don't mind if they get a painful splinter,
Or if it gets cold in the deep, deep winter.

They'll play all day and play all night,
They're always such a wonderful sight!
It could be sunshine, rain, sleet, or snow,
Myncies will always be ready to give it a go.

They cound be fat or skinny,
As long as they don't play like a Tuskaninny.
You can find the big or small,
But they'll probably be
Playing Mynci Beach Volleyball!

Fyora's Dreams
By Targoefista

Sitting on her regal throne,
Listening to her courtiers drone,
The Queen of Faeries dreamed of days
When no one kept her heart's joys at bay.
When she could fly just like the others,
With no one bringing her their troubles.
Flying through the misty skies
Hearing only the wind's soft sighs.
Gazing at the setting sun,
Watching the river waters run.
What a perfect day that would be,
To only know that she was free.

The pictures then were shook from her head,
As a messenger, looking worried, said,
"Jhudora has cast a horrible spell,
But what it does, we can not tell.
Please tell us what are we to do?
We can not fix it, but can you?"
Fyora nodded and sighed deep,
And came to Jhudora's keep.
Demanding that she remove her curse,
She was not polite, and very terse.

But then Jhudora said with a smile,
"If you leave it, I will make it worth while.
I promise that I will take it away,
If only you leave it for one day.
And if you do, I promise you,
I will make sure no one bothers you
For one whole day, I will make sure
That one dark creature does not stir.
You can do what you wish,
Go flying, play, or fish?
Whatever you want, it will be done.
Just let me keep this little one!"
Fyora thought and did not smile,
Knowing Jhudora was filled with guile.
Then she turned and looked at her,
Knowing her answer was for sure.

The wind swished over her long hair,
As Fyora flew through the air.
She flew through the clouds, and up so high,
It felt so great that she could fly.
Birds flew with her chirping gaily,
If only she could do this daily.
She closed her eyes and then sighed deeply,
As she turned and dove quite steeply.
She then opened her eyes to gaze,
About her, as if in a daze.

She listened to the chatter and noise
About her, like a thousand toys.
She wished that it could have been real,
That she had agreed and been able to steal
Just one day, all for her,
With no worries for sure.
But her sense of duty made her say no,
Even though she wanted to go.
She sat up straight and prepared her mind,
To go to her dream's next find.
Preparing her for the tedious day,
Longing just to live her way.
