Each Neo-name is a new word
Increasing your vocab, and how!
But are there some you haven't heard?

The words that really interest me
Are those made up by "Neopetters"
That's a Neo-word, you see--
A new mixture of sounds and letters.

Been to a shop? Bought things that rocked?
Well did you know--you've just "restocked"?
"Thirty-fiveing"? No, not age--
It's trying for that quest at Illusen's Glade.

Seen "petpetpet" as pet³ (cubed)?
Put up a trade and just been "noobed"?
There are so many language features
Surrounding those cute Neo creatures.

Know your acronyms? We'll see--
(They're letter clumps, like GLB
Grand Lightning Beam to you and me)
Mostly weapons for the BD.

Listen out, and you will find
NEOlogisms of every kind
New words made up to fit the game--
English will never be the same.

The Other Legend

The character who uses wand and robe,
Who flies and attacks like a space probe.
When you get struck you will cry "Ma!",
Suprisingly, not Ramtor, Mipsy the Acara.

She went and joined Rohane's committee,
After Zombom's grip was off of White City.
They were quite a strong fighting force.
While slashing and using a magical source,

Crossing marshes, deserts, and many plains,
Plus attacking and breaking Ramtor's reign.
Rohane we taunt at a fierce Bearog or Lupe,
Mipsy would then storm the evil group.

She goes into battle ready for the fighting,
Zapping, setting up walls, and demolishing.
If you're undead or dire you should cower,
'Cause Mipsy will shower with magic power!

Toe Nail Soup

Once upon a chilly night
In the month of Awakening, Year 6,
I was relaxing in my curvy recliner
Watching my petpet romp with its Mootix.

When from my tummy came a grumble
Throwing me quite for a loop.
What sort of craving was I having?
Why, a craving for toe nail soup!

The more I thought about it
The hungrier I became.
Crunchy broth with a cheesy taste,
And quite an appealing name!

I ran to the kitchen
And looked high and low for a can.
Imagine my dismay
When I discovered I hadn't any on hand!

I was so upset.
I cried and cried and cried.
Then a thought came to me,
And my tears I dried.

I cut my own toe nails
And stewed them to make a broth.
To give it extra flavor,
I strained it with a frizz free mane cloth!

I took my first slurp
And my stomach warmed with delight!
I had made my own toe nail soup
On this cold and chilly night!

Rohane's Quest for Glory

On a journey to defeat Zombom,
The Elephante wizard who is the most evil of all.
Battling Bearogs, ogres and skeletons,
Unfazed by the danger this quest evokes.

A common Blumaroo dreaming intensely
Aiming for a heroic salute someday
Willing to take the journey,
Alongside his father's sword,
Ready to fight, glory to the kingdom!

Into caves he has journeyed,
Always faced with something vile and evil
Defeat never crossed his mind
Faith in his skill kept his hopes alive.

In the mysterious tower he went to
Not knowing an epic battle is about to unfold
Not a trace of fright and with all his might
He faced Zombom not letting
The wizard escape his sight.

Swoosh.... boom! The room was in chaos
Taste of defeat never crossing their mind
Both fought with all their strength,
Not letting anyone get a great lead.

In one valiant stroke of Rohane's sword,
With a loud thud, Zombom fell to the floor
Victory is now his! Glory to his family!
Afterthoughts, then fainted in exhaustion.

Sutek's Tomb

Somewhere in the desert
There's a secret little room,
Hidden in a Gebmid
Simply known as Sutek's Tomb.
It might look unassuming,
But despite the way it seems,
Within those walls, there's gold beyond
A Pharaoh's wildest dreams.

So every day I venture there,
Past previous adventurers' bones
Seeking wild adventure
And a fortune of my own.
The whooshing wind enfolds me and
Blows grit into my eyes,
As if to keep this trespasser from
Claiming Sutek's prize.

And then I see the secret lock,
Enruned with desert signs.
If I can just unscramble them,
The treasure will be mine.
The music swells and pulses
With a mesmerizing lick,
Driving me to swap
And match the runes,
And do it quick.

Scarabs, jackals, suns and palm trees,
Pyramids and more,
Suspicious-looking beetles, though
I don't know what they're for,
All must be united into
Groups of three to five,
To break the seal and be
The richest Neopet alive.

Hour after hour beneath
The scorching desert sun,
I swap the tiles on Sutek's Tomb,
For profit and for fun.
And one day, sure as Coltzan blesses
Those who seek his Shrine,
I'll crack the code, and all
That shiny treasure will be mine!
