Sneezles on Monday
Woe is me, woe is me
Said little Koi May
Having a different sickness each day
Is not my idea of play
I had Sneezles on Monday
Which took three hours to cure
Felt even sicker after that
Which I knew, for sure!
Something worse happened on Tuesday
It was that NeoPhobia, I know
Missed seeing the 2 Gallon Hatz
I wish I was there for the show!
Crying for no reason on Wednesday
All the Neopets thought they made fun of me
Brought waaaay too many tissues to school
And my owner forgot to find the cure for me!
I felt like I was burping on Thursday
But it was Bubbles, it was hard to say
Dropped the herbal drink on my fin
It's still burning from that day!
Finally, not sick today on Friday
But then Neopox spotted me out
Ate juppie pizza instead to help this
But the problem was, it made me pout
Sadly, on Saturday, I was sick
Chickaroo made me bawk all night
Keeping my neighbors up that evening
Seeing feathers instead of my fins gave a fright
Now I'm here just normal for sure
Hoping I can come out to say
Hey guys, look at me!
Finally, I can play!!!
A Day in the Life...
Moachness is the key
to strength of mind and of will;
stay calm in danger.
Green leaf, broken branch;
look, what's that near Pteri's nest?
Look close and see Moach.
Jerky movements help
fool Pteri as you escape;
be one with the leaves.
Cunning as Pant Devil,
quicker than pouncing Kougra,
Moach knows not failure.
Stand quietly now,
wait for the perfect moment,
as Zytch draws nearer.
Petpetpets taste good
but are not very filling,
the hunt continues.
Mootix sleeps deeply,
but such is not a good plan
when Moach is hungry.
Move close, be silent,
strike your pose and get ready;
your prey awakens.
Lethargy starts in,
lay still among the branches;
the sun sets on Moach.
On a farm in Meridell, there lived a poor Zafara.
She worked all day in the fields,
And her name was Kara.
She was quite a sight, in her dirty rag clothes,
Yet she was sweet and charming as a rose.
One day her parents gave way to much ado,
They said "The fields are not
The right place for you.
Go visit Faerieland, and live on a cloud.
Make a better life there; make us proud!"
So with teary eyes, Kara bade
them all farewell, and went to Illusen's Glade.
The kind faerie there agreed to give
Kara a ride to the clouds where she'd live.
Once Kara got there, she felt out of place.
In a land of beauty, she felt like a disgrace.
She wandered the city,
Feeling weak, without power,
And as she did, Fyora watched her
From the Hidden Tower.
Fyora could see Kara's inner beauty,
She deserved some gratuity.
Fyora flew down to greet Kara, gift in hand,
"I could sense," Fyora said,
"That you're the kindest Zafara in the land."
Kara's face started to flush
As Fyora produced a royal paint brush.
"This is for you, and I'm sure you'll enjoy,
The change of clothes it will employ."
With the aid of the brush,
Kara became a princess,
And she felt better than ever,
Anew and refreshed.
She lived the rest of her days in happiness;
Fyora's gift had filled her life with bliss.
Around, around, my head does spin
Hoping, wishing that I'll win
I write with neither pen nor quill
And yet bend words to my will
They dive and swoop just like a bird
They drive me crazy, mark my word!
This contest is a doozy, that's for sure
I just want to write so much more!
The story has gone on for a week,
The characters both far from meek
I write now of the champion, bold,
Performing wonders still untold
Many before me have scribbled away
On many more a frightening day
It's fun, I say, as I add something new,
This time, a new character's big debut
There is, somewhere, a magnificent close,
To this wondrous and amazing prose
But I shall not write it, I'll put that aside,
Because, in truth, it's up to you to decide.
An Unhappy Ode To BOOM
So I decided one day that I would invest,
I looked through the stocks, looking for the best.
And what should appear before mine eyes?
The stock BOOM at 15. So I thought it wise,
To invest my meager thousands
And buy some BOOM
Little did I know it would
Spell my financial DOOM!
I read that BOOM had lows,
But it had glorious highs,
So I invested in it,
Waving my hard earned NP goodbye.
I bought a thousand shares everyday,
My bank account dwindled, I must sadly say.
From 15 to 19, glorious BOOM I bought
"Millions I shall have!" I boldly thought.
As BOOM increased in market worth,
My heart was filled with untold mirth.
Then BOOM plummeted to five
In the blink of an eye,
I could only stare
In amazement, wondering why.
"No!" I cried in horror as I stared at the screen.
"Not five! Not my Neopoints!" I screamed.
But yes, BOOM had
Betrayed me in the worst way,
Taking my NP with it
As it sank like a bad souffle.
So I've waited for a year
And a half for BOOM to rise,
Wanting to increase my bank account in size.
BOOM hit 26, but never 30 to double my NP,
Then it plummeted yet again to 13, minus 3.
BOOM, why do you treat me so?
I just don't think I can survive this woe.
I've been faithful and utterly true,
I've bought no other stock except you.
But I have faith that BOOM shall rise again,
And I shall receive
My millions that should have been.
