I'm here today, to speak to you,
About one wonderful pet
The Tonu, a grand and magnificent creature,
That wins my heart's high bet!

Their shining horn, their graceful steps,
Each one a perfected sight,
Their scaly skin, their shining eyes,
All sparkling in the light

A dazzling aroma surrounds this pet,
As well as its sharp mind
Their witty smile and mysterious ways,
Are double as they are kind

Tonu are playful, fun, and friendly,
And love a good game to play
So if I had to pick a pet,
I'd pick the Tonu any day!

Gargash the Tonu Terror

You might think they're cuddly and cute
But I, for one, know a Tonu that's a brute.
Gargash by name, and bully by trade
Never there was such a creature
Should not have been made.

With a huge, twisted horn,
And a smelly, matted hide
This Tonu has totally
Embraced his evil, dark side
He's so mean, so nasty, so cruel
That in an evil contest
This beast would surely rule!

As for what he's done, well... he's done it all
He's chased Chombies, slapped Scorchios,
And made Pterii fall
He's clubbed Chias, leered at Lupes,
And screamed at Blumaroos
Face it, dear friends...
He's rotten through and through!

Even Dr. Sloth admires Gargash's skills
And this Tonu's evil
Even made dark Jhudora ill!
So if you see Gargash
Coming your way, cross the street
As such a monster you
Do not care to meet.

Now heed my warning, one and all
Beware the Tonu Gargash,
And to the police do call
'Cause this Tonu's bad to the bone
And filled with hate
So run and hide before it's too late!

Khan the Unstoppable

In a deep dark cell, a Tonu is held
Against his will, so he stomped and yelled
"I'm Khan the Unstoppable!"
Was heard through the walls
Right before a horn crashed through the halls

Down through the corridor he stomped away free
Saying, "Even your
Toughest steel cannot hold me!"
He is Khan the Unstoppable, no reason to try
He can bust any element, and this is no lie

A force field? No trouble for this Tonu
Just one stomp on the ground,
With his mighty shoe
And away the ground crumbles beneath his feet
So once again he leaves the cell crushed and beat

Always on a journey, Khan keeps on looking
For what is a mystery, but he remains searching
Away on his path, someone always tries to hold
This great Tonu, his unbeatable resistance is told!

The Tale Of An Egg

High in a tree, tucked safe in her nest
A little blue Pteri settled in for a rest
Now she looked rather odd, for under her leg
Was an enormous (and purple) spotted lone egg

The egg was just huge,
Much bigger than she
It made one just wonder
If it might break that tree
But still she just sat,
And waited a bit
Through rainstorms and lightning
That Pteri did sit

Until the day finally dawned
That the egg started rocking
And the noise from inside it
Sounded rather like knocking
"Oh dear, goodness me!"
That Pteri said with a start
And just at that moment
The egg fell apart

Now the Pteri, you see
Had visions of beaks
Of cawwing and tweeting
(She'd been waiting for weeks)
A tiny young Pteri,
All feathered (in blue)
She wasn't expecting
A baby Tonu!

But there in her nest,
High up in that tree
Sat the Tonuest Tonu
You ever did see
Its horn was quite yellow,
And the rest of it, too
And that poor little Pteri
Didn't know quite what to do

She sat and she stared,
And then stared some more
And then that poor Pteri
Fainted right to the floor

Misconceptions

It is said that Tonu are not very bright
Since their favorite hobby is violent
And that often they cause other Neopets fright
As they charge around and cause havoc
For the peaceful members of Neopia.

Many refuse to own one because, as they say,
They are far too much trouble,
Are difficult to control, but come what may,
Tonu are still beautiful creatures
Whose overall damage is really quite minimal.

Beside their destructive tendencies,
As many point out,
They are also kind, brilliant, and creative beings
That will make many Tonu owners doubt
The tales of rampaging fiends
(As some call them)
As they spend most of
Their day basking in the sun.

Being born in Tyrannia
Has given them a bad rap,
But not all Neopets born there
Are primitive and unkempt
For Tonu enjoy sparkling spring water,
Not ordinary tap,
And in particular love having
Their lion-like manes groomed
While keeping their toenails
Perfectly trimmed.

The misconceptions surrounding these profound
Creatures are vast and rumors of past bad deeds
Continue to circulate and hound
The futures of these marvelous pets,
But don't believe them for rumors are just that.
