KORBAT DAY SPECIAL

Korbats of Celebration
By Slick__3

Screeches send excitement,
Throughout Neopian streets,
And the little Chias hide,
Under their little Chia sheets.

Don't bother to fight or scare them off,
For these creatures are not weak.
And if you're in their path on this special night,
You might get knocked right off your feet.

For it's the 26th day of Collecting,
They've prepared for a batty feast.
Of extra gooey Korbat cake,
Won't you come and have a piece?

Ritki, Motki, Feemix, Krarrg,
And a mutant named Meruth.
All celebrated Korbats found in cards,
Or perched upon your roof!

Though the festival is always whispered,
With a rumour that rocked the land,
A stain of one to the Korbat name,
Could indeed be the evil Darigan.

Though, of course, now we are wiser,
And history has past.
The winged pets from island to Faerie,
Just want to have a blast!

In flocks they'll fill our cold night air,
Calls heard from Faerieland above.
And although they may seem frightful now,
Behind those sharp teeth there is love.

So if this all sounds like fun to you,
Get down to the Haunted Woods and stay,
For a chat, a laugh and to celebrate,
Because this is Korbat Day!

Meruth
By Milorules

Perched high above our heads
Is an evil Korbat as legend says
With all the things in this forest
The one thing that tops my list

Meruth, an evil Korbat that lies
Above, unable to be seen by our eyes
She isn't super powerful in any way
Or strong and willfull to say

But the thing that makes her so scary
Is the fact she is always watching me
Waiting, watching my every move
Waiting to see what I will do

Kunning is this Korbat, you see
She will wait until alone I'll be
Instead of power or sheer brute
She uses her mind, and female powers to boot!

Looking down at these haunted lands
Watching me, making her evil plans
Always waiting... WAIT! What is that?
Oh no it's Meruth swooping down, not a bat!

The Ghostly Korbat
By Moose777

In the Haunted Woods there lives a Korbat
A ghostly creature with gleaming red eyes
He flies through the air like a shimmer of mist
Frightening all who pass through his haunt
Even the very bravest and bold
Suddenly feel all in shivers and cold
At the nightly sight of this silent apparition
Gliding through the trees

Please come back,
Cries the Korbat
But nobody hears;
Being a ghost
His words fall on deaf ears

Always alone in his rotten old wood
He thinks of the time when his life was still good
Before he entered the ranks of ghost-hood
By the hex of a Faerie
Whose heart was quite black
He bacame what he is
And she won't turn him back
And that is the curse of the Ghostly Korbat

Korbat Haikus
By Moonlit_sparkle

What's that flapping noise?
A small creature hovering,
A Korbat grinning.

Those shy, twinkling eyes,
Cast a mysterious glance,
Perhaps they'll fool you.

Korbats are loving,
They'll always be there for you,
Right when you need them.

With delicate wings,
Korbats can fly to the sky,
Or unknown places.

Although they are small,
Don't underestimate them.
They can do great things.

Korbats are happy,
Not to mention very proud.
Treat them with respect.

Their cute little tail
Will swing with joy as they sing,
"Happy Korbat Day!"

The Korbat from the Lab
By Julses

I walk along edgily on the path to the lab.
Here comes a scaly Spyder resembling a crab.
I brush it away with a shaking hand,
But it's gone, disappeared amongst the woodland.

I continue along the forest track.
When I arrive at the lab I am taken aback!
The sheer size is new to me,
I was just expecting a small alley.

I enter the complex and start my game.
To get rid of all the boxes is my aim.
Lots of potions come falling down,
I struggle to catch them all in my gown.

I go through some levels and that's when I meet,
The young Korbat flying just above my feet.
"Hi there!" I yell out to a friendly looking face.
He winked at me and that's when it became ace.

I got a feel for the game
With the Korbat around.
After chatting through the levels
I saw the clock in the background.
We'd been having fun for ages,
And what do you know?
It was now time for the end of the show.

I'd gone through all the levels,
I'd cleared each block.
On the way to collect my prize
I tripped on a rock.
But was it a rock? No, it was the Korbat.
He said, "You're on the high score board,
The top's where you're at!"

We sung and we played in a shower of points,
I began to hurt within my joints.
So I collected up my NPs and began to leave,
But there was still something
I had yet to achieve.

"Will you come and live with me?
It's you that I like.
You're more to me than NPs,
You mean more than a bike!"
The Korbat just looked at me, his eyes so sweet.
He nodded with a smile and collapsed on his seat.

Now we live together in my home by a lake.
This adoption was definitely not a mistake.
I'm famous from my high score,
I have more NPs than I need,
But what makes me gleeful
Is my nocturnal batty breed!
