A Conceited Uni
There once was a Uni,
with a sweet little face.
She batted her eyes,
tail flipping all over the place.
This wonderous creature,
with eyes so bright.
I couldn't imagine,
a more lovely sight.
As I approached her,
Her tail flicked twice.
I sensed annoyance,
she didn't seem nice.
I introduced myself,
what else could I do?
She replied with a tone
almost like a coo.
I receive complements plenty,
I get lots of stares.
I light up rooms,
and no one compares.
You might want to know,
who this conceited Uni could be.
I wont waste your time,
They are all the same, you see.
The golden Kougra sat by the river
She watched the water rumble by
Suddenly she leapt up and started to run
She ran with the river
The river rumbled on over the rocks
The golden Kougra rumbled, too
Deep within her throat;
Their music became one
The sun shined on the river
Reflecting its golden light
The sun didn't need to shine
On the Kougra, though
For she was already golden
The river and Kougra
Raced side by side
The river leaped over rocks in the riverbed
The Kougra jumped boulders
And thorns on the shore
A sudden roar started in the distance
But with the feel that it had always been there
It was the river; the Kougra didn't make that noise
But still the golden Kougra ran on
A wonderful mist arose further on
It sprayed through the colorful rainbows
The river merged and became part of it
And the Kougra ran on beside it
The waterfall loomed a hundred feet high
The river and Kougra raced through it
The golden Kougra showed no fear
Neither did the river
The river leapt over the waterfall
And the Kougra, still running beside it
Leapt into space as well
The Kougra soared over the waterfall
Staying always be the river's side
Out into the air
And the Kougra was forever one with the river.
The sun is dawning
The air is cooler
Soon you will come out
You are mysterious
Lurking in the shadows
Until it's dark
So no one will see you
And unlock your untold secrets
You wish to be alone
Nor put on display
Neopets are afraid of you
And shudder to think of what would happen
If they encountered you
No Neopet ever gets a good look at you
they may catch a glimpse
But that's all they see
Nightmare upon nightmare
You have been in
Up the dreamer's spine
It's said that you were a normal Usul
Until one day
Dr. Sloth with the Lab Ray
Turned you into
What you are now
The Shadow Usul
Who comes out only when the sun sets
And the shadows form
Treasure of the Black Pawkeet
The waves were huge and rough,
On the dark sea there was turmoil.
Captain Pawkeet shouted, "Lower the sails!"
And the pirates pulled on the rope coil.
Three days and nights faded away.
One Chia was swept overboard
But Captain Pawkeet didn't notice.
He only cared about himself and his hoard.
On the fourth morning the sea calmed.
"Captain," growled the lookout,
"I know whar we be.
But the island's hard to steer around.
Best give the wheel to me."
The lookout pulled into a bay
As the captain demanded where they were.
"Aye, it be a place called Krawk Island.
No landlubber inhabits her."
That gave Pawkeet an idea.
Now he knew what to do with his treasure.
"Men, we're going ashore," he barked.
"Be warned, this ain't be for pleasure."
They carried his jewels over steep hills
And onto a long sandy beach.
"Bury the treasure here," he said.
"High tide's just out of reach."
The next day they set sailing
For new lands to plunder.
But another vicious storm arose.
And the whole crew went under.
With nobody alive that knows
where the treasure is
It remains hidden to this day.
But many people have tried to find it
Perhaps you'll discover a way...
My Draik and I were strolling one day,
Returning back home from being away,
We were glad to return to Meridell,
But neither aware that all was not well.
At first we did not believe it was true,
The Turmaculus missing,
and the Shape Shifter, too,
"I wonder who did this?" my Draik said to me,
"I'm not sure," I replied, "But let's go and see."
As soon as we started, an object caught my eye,
A floating castle lurking north of the skies,
"A monolith of pure evil," I said to my Draik,
And he said, "I hope not for Meridell's sake."
We looked around, and saw very few,
And we asked if what we thought to be true,
"Is that responsible for all that we see?"
We were told, "It is the cause of our misery."
We did not know why our home was destroyed,
But it was something we could not avoid,
So we asked how all this began,
And our response? Lord Darigan.
