The Darkest Blumaroo
There's a dark foreboding island,
On the edge of the Neopets world,
Where evil lurks in every corner,
With terrors yet to be unfurled.
Chia Clowns and the Esophagor,
The Brain Tree and the Stone Dome,
All are haunted, dark and scary,
And to many pets a home.
Ghostly specters and haunted weapons
Are common among the Deserted Fairground,
That big old moon and bats in the sky
Are sure to frighten many.
But then there's one malignant figure
That strikes fear in the people there,
For he alone haunts the night,
Let the traveler beware!
By moonlight he stalks his prey,
Those evil fangs glisten,
And no one ever lives to tell
The story of seeing his face.
Those he gets are never seen again,
Their final screams ne'er sound,
For when Von Roo finds his meals,
There's no escape from that island's ground.
His castle is bleak
And cobwebbed corners
Decorate the halls,
The corridors are long and lined
With only cold stone walls.
Count Von Roo likes the night;
It is his domain,
And none may pass from his grasp,
There forever they remain.
In darkness now, and forever more,
He lives alone with his dark soul.
The night his day, the shadow his cloak,
And moon his only light,
The darkened creature lurks around;
You may not want to sleep at night.
Beauty Contest Anxiety
A vote? A vote? Can you cast me a vote?
These publicity posters are so hard to tote!
I worked for so long on my pretty pet's pic,
And I am so close but the clock must still tick!
Will I get a nice trophy or even a prize?
Will a victory be mine come the next sunrise?
I'm starting to worry as the time draws near!
I'm climbing up the ranks.. but oh no! Oh dear!
The contest is over, I very much fear!
I must check the winners,
Will the trophy be mine?
Will it rest in my pet's description so fine?
The page starts to load,
I think I'll explode,
It's taking so long for the page to be shown!
As the images form and my heart starts to race,
A smile forms on my anxious face.
The voters have spoken, it's really quite clear,
I've gotten first place,
There's no reason for tears!
Walking down the street I was,
When I met a tiny Buzz,
"Listen," He whispered in my ear,
"I've got good news for you to hear."
"Take these magical sands of Mystery Isle,
And mix them into a little pile,
Put them in these little jars,
And push them through the Cooking Pot bars."
I told the little one I would,
And ran, ran, ran as fast as I could,
I gave my items to the Faerie,
Who gave back to me one less to carry,
The beautiful two colors mixed in one,
Oh, this is going to be excellent fun,
I bought two more and ran back again,
I had many different colors mixed in the end,
"This so cool," I though to myself,
"And I owe it all to that little insect elf."
But then everyone was carrying them around,
"I thought it was my secret!" I said,
and fell to the ground.
I cried and cried,
but then who should walk up to me?
Why, it was none other than
Jhuidah the Island Faerie!
"Dear sweet one, why do you cry?"
She asked, and wiped
one glistening tear from my eye,
When I told her what happened
she said to me, "Do not fret!
You sands will be worth more
in months to come yet."
With her last words she took my hand,
And gave me a heart shaped bottle of sand.
As I slowly walked home
I though, "What a crazy day!"
And I climbed into my bed and lay,
Ready to sleep the night away.
Evil Shaking Slushies!!!
Here comes something evil and mushy
No, not a bowl of mushy peas
The story I'm about to tell is so terrible
It would scare off my Gelert's fleas
Have you already guessed what it is?
It's in the title of this poem, you see
This is the tale, of the attack,
By the evil shaking slushies!
First there was the space Slushie
Which came from... well, outer space
It fell from the sky
And in a blink of an eye
Smashed Number Three in the Poogle Race
Then there was the berry blend slushie
That was tangy and real sweet
My Kougra giggled as it wiggled
Till it knocked him off his feet
There was a slushie
That seemed quite harmless
Because it was made
From chocolate chip cookies
But when I went to buy a Scratchcard
I found out it had
Flattened the Kiosk Wocky
The grapity slushie with excited grapes
Shook itself about...
Until it jumped and landed on a pig
All that was left was pork snout
Next there was a slushie
Filled with berry cola
It bounced on over to the Rock Pool
And squished a poor old Bowla
Then came an evil slushie
With layers of chocolate mint
It jumped into the silverware drawer
How did you think that fork got bent?
The coco whip slushie from Cream Waterfall
Actually did not shake
It got bigger, then smaller,
And smaller, then bigger
Ouch! Thinking about it gives me a headache
Next came the rainborific slushie
The essence of rainbow and ice
This one did no damage from shaking
But it did give my Pteri lice
A zesty combination of
Gooseberries, ganboplant, and ice cream
The holiday slushie ate a Grarrl,
For that I had to scream
Last there was the peanut butter slushie
Which also contained some jam
It smashed some people
Who wanted votes for the BC
Because it hated spam!
Well, this is the end of my story
But one thing I'll never know:
If shaking slushies are not "shaking"
Then what's with "shaking" codestones?
Damage On Meridell
A land that once was beautiful,
Skarl held the orb that was sought.
The fate of the land was determined,
After a wicked battle was fought.
Meri Acres has been ruined,
Not a berry to be found.
There is no sign of Turmaculus,
Only an indented piece of ground.
The Mortogs have been roughed up,
Kissing is a memory of the past.
No Turdles will be racing,
No one cares who's first and last.
The food stalls are in shambles,
No turnips or stale bread.
Ye Olde Petpets has been mangled,
We hope the dear pets fled.
How can an orb that does such good,
Bring so much destruction?
As the invaders came full force,
Drawn by its seduction.
Or hearts were broken at the sight,
Of the damage on Meridell.
We will not forget the magic of this place,
Or the monster who broke the spell.
