Darigan Hero Pride
Purple, black, and red,
Colors in which I bow my head,
Lord Darigan is where my loyalty lies
Even to follow when war may arise,
When the citadel raised into the sky,
I recall the first war cry
As all of us Draconians raised our swords,
Fighting for the sake of our Lord's,
The orb is what we must take back
And until we can collect, we attack,
For we are the keepers rightfully
Though apparently Meridell does not agree,
We will send out all our best
To defeat our kingdom's ultimate test,
With that we hope to succeed
The orb our enemy will concede,
Forget King Skarl and your Meridell ways,
It is Lord Darigan who should be praised,
Give up, Meridell, ease your defeat
For we shall conquer and beat,
Battle on, Darigan heroes,
Battle hard to triumph over our foes,
We are the almighty, proud and true,
We shall fight this war all the way through.
Does Santa work for Neopets?
As I was collecting my special gifts,
from the Advent Calendar today,
I couldn't help but wonder,
where they get the toys for us to play.
They give out millions daily,
in Neopoints, food and toys.
There is always enough to go around,
for all us girls and boys.
My ideas about the helper,
are interesting to say the least.
Who is supplying all the gifts we get,
is it a miracle, man or beast?
I thought it might be the Tombola man,
who begs us out of our cash,
But with the price of codestones so high,
I think he is hording his stash.
Next I thought of the Snowager,
The massive worm of ice.
He would rather blast us to bits,
instead of being nice.
I have come to my conclusion,
the only one that works,
He is always watching,
and in the north, he lurks.
Does Santa work for Neopets?
I've not seen these things on shelves.
The only time I have seen such work,
it was done by little elves.
Attack of the 6 Foot Plushie
It came marching down my street one day,
with its huge black button eyes
and its cotton smile,
Its huge nylon feet were pounding
and its tail was swishing,
The 6 foot plushie had arrived.
It marched towards me,
crushing the cars as it came past,
people were screaming,
children were ducking for cover,
As it approached me it let out a roar,
and it shook the whole village.
Not a person was left in sight now,
no one to see this magnificent show,
It roared again and again
and suddenly it stopped.
With its mouth opened it spoke
in a voice only I could hear.
"I'm the plushie Skeith,
yes here I am!
Will you take me in?"
I looked at its fabric face
and its cotton jaws were smiling,
Gladly I agreed to give
the plushie Neopet a home,
Together we walked and my what a sight it was!
A 6 foot plushie Skeith alongside a dainty man
My it sure was funny to all the passers-by,
They gave us funny looks, and some ran by,
How lucky was I to befriend the 6 foot plushie.
The Month Of Celebrating
There's sunlight in the distance,
that makes the flowers glow,
the Faeries come to see them,
when the sun has set below.
When the night is in full bloom,
the Faeries come out to play.
Illusen would dance upon the flowers,
until the dawn of day.
Jhudora whisks away when the sun appears,
to find different places.
Where they can all dance and sing,
away from unfriendly faces.
The Air Faeries catch fireflies,
to make the night still bright,
so they can all enjoy themselves,
in the shadows of the dimming light.
Once the month of Celebration is gone,
the Light Faerie leaves behind her singing might,
because they cannot go back to what they did before,
until the next celebration takes flight.
"Down in the valley of Meridell
where Ixi frolic and Draiks fly high
the wind was quite calm and all seemed well
as the sun set in the western sky."
"But what was that on the horizon?
Did you see the dark cloud hover there?
And could you have heard of the one
That the people call Sir Borodere?"
"I'm just a simple wandering bard
But my singing can tell you the news
And you didn't have to listen too hard
To be scared by the rumors and clues!"
"Over this land a shadow did loom
And the elders who speak the old tongue
Foretold of a prophecy of doom
But awaited the hero to come."
"The evil grew thicker day by day
You could feel it's presence in the air
'Who will save us?' the villagers said
as they glanced at the clouds in dispair."
"Who is the enemy from above?
Who's dark shadow lurks over this land?
Why does he wish to destroy our love,
With a dark and villainous plan?"
"Pages were turned in ancient old tomes
And the night sky was studied in vain.
Only the wizest wizard or gnome
Knew that Darigan was his name."
"But he will appear it is certain
and his banners will wave in the sky,
the wind will unfurl them like curtains,
above his dark armor that shines!"
"His minions in great numbers will come!
They'll march out with their hatred and laugh!
They'll fanfare with trumpets, beat their drums,
and strike fear with their catapult blasts!"
"He'll come from his castle above us
and will show us no mercy that day!
It is for our blood that he does lust.
From our land he will drive us away!"
"But heroes appear when we need them
and then vanish as heroes must do
as the sun sets in the western sky
and the colors fade into blue."
"But who is the villian or hero?
Which side is the one in the right?
How can you guess? How can you know?
If for Skarl or Darigan you should fight?"
"And what of the orb they fight over,
that makes the land fertile and green?
Oh who is the orb's rightful owner?
Well, that remains to be seen."
"'Why have the the war to begin with?'
The wisest of Neopets laugh.
'The answer is clear..as clear as this:
We should split the orb in HALF!'"
"Now I bid thee a fond fare-thee-well!
For my song it has come to an end
Goodbye dear people of Meridell
I hope I can call you my friends!"
