To test your Gormball might!
You have to prove your mettle in
This truly watery fight!

You’ll pass the ball from pet to pet
Before the thing explodes.
You rack up points for holding it,
Before its water flows!

You’ll hold it for two seconds, or
You’ll grasp it for all five.
Please pass it to the next pet, so
Your character survives!

You’ll sometimes find a bonus ball
That can be good or bad.
Some balls will give you extra points,
While others make you sad!

The prizes are quite fun to see.
They vary quite a lot.
They cap the Gormball tournament,
A sport that was hard fought!

It’s Gormball day! The time has come
To play the game and cheer!
The Gormball contest’s underway,
A lively time of year!

Brian, Our True Gormball Champion

There's a small group of us still around.
Those that recall the Gormball championship in year 2.
The heat was almost too much to bear,
but that didn't one bit ruin our stadium view.
Brian the Scorchio was the pick of our crew.

We'd followed his career up to this point.
He was a promising young player for sure.
He was decisive, fast, and great on the field.
And he'd do basically anything to score.
Thyassa was the talk of the town, but we knew the chia was a total bore.

To our delight, Brian came in first place!
Hard-working Ursula was third, good for her.
Brutish, boring Thyassa was runner-up, 
but we still knew he was just an amateur.
The last thing we expected was a saboteur!

Some resentful fans said Brian cheated.
Yet, Brian was the last with the ball.
People fruitlessly tried to change our minds. 
Allege cheating all you want, cry "foul ball."
Accusations or not, we know Brian won it all. 

We know what you'll say: he's a cheat,
and he's hardly even trying.
I've been half-convinced of his guilt before,
but I always say, loud and proud as a lion,
"Long live Brian!"

AAA Tries Gormball

On September twenty-third,
Abigail dragged her brother
Out of his favourite game
So he could try another.

AAA hated being outside,
But he agreed to play,
If only to prove he could
Leave his computer for a day.

Thyassa threw the ball first,
Into Ember’s hands, with grace,
The ball moved on to Brian
And exploded in his face.

Water soaked the Scorchio
And AAA was scared.
This was far more real
Than his beloved Daily Dare.

The new ball went to him,
And he threw it back with force.
Zargrold tried to return it,
But it blew up at the source.

The Gormball players cheered,
So proud that he had scored.
Seeing their encouragement,
His own excitement soared.

They played a little longer,
And in the end, he won the game.
The players gathered around him
And all chanted his name.

A second round, and then a third:
He couldn't believe his luck.
The water didn't touch him
Even when the gormball struck.

But luck couldn't last forever
And soon his own ran out.
The ball exploded on him
And drenched him with a shout.

The others tried to comfort him,
And make him feel less alone.
But AAA had had enough
And he was going home!

All the players are famished. 
It's fitting that what awaits
Is a great feast so lavish.

Leave the field, leave the grass,
Leave the Gormballs behind,
And see what Gormball treats

And with colourful Gormball Gumballs,
The fun simply won't stop.

Brian the Scrorchio has been known to cheat
For that reason he's not too easy to beat
But in a game we must be just and fair
So when the Gormball explodes it's okay to laugh but don't stare

Ursula the Usul has studied the arts
Of Gormball champions from all of the parts
She says the game flows into her veins binding together
I just hope when she's wet that it's very nice weather

Zargold the COOL should have hopped in the car
Neither of them Neopian natives
But came to play Gormball because it's so recreative

Came to the scene with Dr. Sloth left for some duration
He's batty and chatty and generally a good guy
Too bad we had to splash him and send him goodbye!
