The Un-Valentine Shoyru Plushie's Story

Filled with love is the air
With chocolates, roses and all the flair,
But here sits a plushie,
All grey, sad and blue,
Thinking, what is there to do.

It’s a happy valentines,
Everyone knew,
But for this little plushie it’s just not true.
He holds his broken heart in his hands,
Wishing for one Neopian to understand.

That when everything is pink,
And everyone is celebrating with hearts,
He feels so very out of sync.
He is ready for this day to end,
When his heart hasn’t had the time to mend.

His wings are heavy,
His eyes filled with tears,
He needs a hug and a pair of listening ears.
He does not want to play on a day like this,

Ode for Valentine's Day

My pets are quite spooky—they adore Halloween! 
But this special time of year where no spirits are seen
Is their favourite of all. Oh, those dear pets of mine, 
how they love to hug their sweet owner, their dear Valentine! 

I love my pets just as much as they do love me, 
And we have ten years of traditions to help us get ready!
For us Valentine’s Day isn’t just about candy—
It’s a chance to get dressed up in red (and look dandy!)—
To sit down together, recalling memories fond
Over cakes celebrating our sweet, happy bond. 

We’re so excited for the holiday, we start a little early—
We put up our new site theme on the first of February! 
Then I go through their closets, and pick something pink 
And each day until then they’ll get a Sparkling Drink!

On Valentine’s morning, the first thing we pen 
Are heartfelt Neomails we craft for our friends! 
They get bouquets too, and Sweetheart Grams from the Mall,
And a case of chocolates each—we so love them all! 

When that’s all been done, we go out to eat 
And we all finely dine on our favourite treats! 
Two Scoops of Friendship to start—but I order three, 
For all six of my lovelies—(just a Chai Coffee for me!)
We go nuts with the chocolates and Valentine’s Neggs
Until my pets are stuffed full: “No more sweets, T, we beg!” 
After one more Heart Crepe (and a Heart Latte to go!),
We leave the café with our hearts all aglow. 

We head out from the Coffee Cave to our next stop:
Our annual visit to Faerieland’s top! 
On that pink fluffy cloud—(very ‘on theme’!) 
We marvel at the pretty, romantic scene. 
Then we hem and we haw and we all go our own way
To buy our presents for Valentine’s Day!

Octavian likes sweets, so I pop to the shop 
To get him a perfect Heart Lollipop!
Maxi’s my Wraith, as purple as a grape
So he’ll look very dashing in My Super Valentine Cape! 
Atalanta loves fashion—skirts look great with her fur—
So I’ve picked the perfect Pink Two-Piece for her!
For Theo, Three Red Roses; For Liv, a Candy Cane
And for Pert, a new background set in Chocolate Fountain Lane!
I choose something for them each that I know they’ll adore, 
They love me a lot—but I love them even more! 

For Neopia is a haven, for them and for me—
A place where we can play, let our imaginations run free;
A place full of stories, and artwork, and fun—
Where we all can belong, and there’s room for everyone. 
Let’s use this day to spread love, and to merrily roam
With roses in hand through this world we call home.
So to all you Neopians, whether you’re an old hand or new—
A very happy Valentine’s Day to your pets and you!

Time To Valentine

It is never cheesy, NEVER
I don’t care what some might say!
I love receiving cards and gifts
from all my neofriends
and always make sure to have
my own deliveries to send. 
Valentine’s Day is one where
there are few frowns to be seen
and not lots of spooks either -
it’s the opposite of Halloween!
So if you have no plans today,
go out and do something kind
to, with, and for anyone since
it is the time to Valentine!

With careful snips and a delicate hand
All her work makes her heart flutter

Cookies and cupcakes look so sweet 
Decorated with berries and whipped cream
Darling you are in for a treat

Pink and red balloons fill the room
Streamers and banners ready to welcome guests
Dozens of roses all in bloom
With a stylish gown ill be the best dressed

Xweetok candles light the dark
Candy grams and goodie bags line the wall
Plates with yummy chocolate bark
Jazzmosis is here from the concert hall

Now its time to open the doors
All the pets are here to party away 
Glitter dresses spin on the floors

The Chocolate Factory Kiko's Valentine Heart

The Chocolate Factory Kiko turned his calendar page and let out a sigh.
The month Awakening had come; the end was nigh.
He would have to start working overtime
To create his world-famous candies that were oh-so-sublime.

Valentine’s Day was the biggest day for his business
He had to cater to all of the customers, not more, not less.
The picky eaters, the crying children, the families alike.
The Kiko couldn’t just tell them all to take a hike.

So he got to work: mixing the truffles and lollies,
Sprinkling the chocolate shavings on the cookies,
And moulding caramels into the shape of various Neopets.
He had to be precise, nimble, and have no regrets.

At last, the final batch was done!
A long day had passed, and down went the sun.
All the sweets sparkled in their wrappers behind the display.
The Kiko waited for Neopians to marvel at the neat array.

The first few customers trickled in.
They sampled the candies and gave a grin.
“Oh Chocolate Factory Kiko, I like your groove!”
The little ones poked and prodded each other to move.

The Chocolate Factory Kiko merely shook his head.
“Kids, I do this every year. I think about candies before bed.
I dream about their sweetness: the sugar that hits your mind,
And the love that makes you come together and be kind.”

The Kiko always watches the sunset on Valentines Day at Neopia Central’s streets.
He remembers each and every drop that went into his rich, decadent sweets.
Although they are long gone, the excitement remains in his heart.
It’s an everlasting tradition, of which he is forever grateful to take part.

Ode to the Valentine Farnswap

But look how they smile sweetly!
Sure, their teeth may be sharp,
But that’s no reason to carp.

I’ll never know why some say they’re deplorable.
Just look – that sweetheart collar is adorable!
With nice little horns on top of its head,
I can’t see why it fills some with dread!
A fun scaly tail with a curl at the tip,
So what if they occasionally nip?

Sweet shades of pink with little heart-scales,
And isn’t it cute the way its tail flails?
Oh dear, now this one is angry and running amok!
