Greetings Neopian! Welcome!
Today I'll be your tour guide,
To the spooky sights of Neopia,
Now is not the time to run and hide.
Zombies, ghouls, vampires, ghosts!
And other creatures that have died.
So what do you say? Hop on my boat.
Are you brave enough to come along for a ride?

A is for Adverts;
Flashy and eye-catching, we're the observers.
They're a necessary evil you see.
Or do you want to pay for the servers?

B is for Balthazar;
Beware if you're a faerie,
A bounty hunter, he bottles and sells them.
My goodness, truly scary.

C is for Count Von Roo;
Exposed neck? Not smart.
If you plan on taking him down,
You'd better aim for the heart.

D is for the Down for Maintenance Pteri;
Can you think of a more terrible creature?
What do you mean he has an avatar?
He's not supposed to be a feature!

E is for Eliv Thade;
A remarkably talented wordsmith.
If you end up in his mansion,
You may as well just rage-quit.

F is for Florg;
A Chia with an insatiable appetite.
Giving many poor petpets nightmares,
And waking dread at night.

G is for the Ghost Lupe;
What about him can we discern?
Some Neopets that go to Mystery Island
Are destined to never return.

H is for the Haunted Woods;
This one was obvious of course.
Just don't get lost among the trees,
Or you'll be filled with remorse.

I is for Iced;
Can you handle a permanent blackout?
Nothing will make your heart skip a beat,
Quite like being suddenly logged out.

J is for Jhudora;
You'd better not fail her quest!
Otherwise she might zap you,
And turn you into her foot-rest.

K is for Kass,
The corrupted Darigan Eyrie.
His tale of falling to the dark side,
It's enough to make you teary.

L is for Lord Darigan;
He's not all that evil I suppose.
He has since redeemed himself,
And now lives in the shadows.

M is for Meuka;
Ugh, I think I'm going to be sick,
Being around this disgusting Meerca,
It's definitely no picnic.

N is for Nox;
Hubrid was his name.
No longer among the living,
The epitome of haunted fame.

O is for October;
It fills me with a delirium of glee.
The cool breeze, the fall leaves,
And all the candy I can see.

P is for the Pant Devil;
Take stock of your inventory.
You may end up speaking of him,
With words that are most inflammatory.

Q is for Quests;
The ones the faeries make you complete.
No shop wizard? That item is too expensive!
Ugh, they're bittersweet.

R is for Razul;
He has an astonishing fiery look.
Just don't get too close to him
Or you'll end up getting cooked.

S is for Sloth;
Heartless, manipulative, the doctor of deceit,
Should you ever run into him,
You'd better make a quick retreat.

T is for the Tax Beast;
Consider this a warning. With him, do not skimp.
There are two things certain in life,
And one of them is this rotten little imp.

U is for Unbuyable;
The shop wizard can't help. Now you're toast.
You're going to have to leave your comfort zone,
Maybe try the auctions or trading post.

V is for Vira;
Obsessed with beauty, driven to insanity,
A shadowy being cursed her,
All because of vanity.

W is for Wheel;
Knowledge or Extravagance, take your pick.
Oh, the time and NP you'll spend.
Getting these avatars will make you sick.

X is for Xantan;
A mage of sludge that is most foul,
Once you face him in battle,
He'll make you furrow your brow.

Y is for, well, it's You.
Why do you look so surprised?
No one can be good all the time;
Everyone can be compromised.

Z is for Zurroball;
Does anyone actually like this game?
An avatar? No! Please no!
That would be totally lame.

You're lucky you survived you know...
Hey relax, it's over, get a grip.
Maybe you should visit the stock market,
And try your luck with some YIPP.
Those were just some of the dangers of Neopia,
Now please get off of my ship.
I see another group of Neopians I could frighten,
So I think I'll make another trip...

Neopian Halloween

Neopia is a happy world
Full of love and cheer
But sometimes evil can prevail
This happens once a year
On October thirty first
You better be aware
Ghosts and ghouls come out at night
Causing quite the scare

The dark faeries thrive today
Hiding far back in the shadow
Lurking around the corner
Knowing evil trails will follow
Jhudora is a well-known soul
If you see her you best run
We know she’s never up to any good
Only Illusen knows what she’s done 

Not all faeries are good at fighting
Some must run and hide
For Balthazar comes out as well
Hoping young faeries he will find
This Lupe makes a profit
Capturing these creatures
He puts them into bottles
And sells them for their features

Xandra might not look so scary
But her mind is oh so dark
She created a whole Neopia
And crowned herself monarch
Currently she lives in stone
But she I would not defend
They say one day she may escape
And crave some harsh revenge 

Archaeologists learned their lesson
When interest in Eyrieki was expressed
Though Defenders of Neopia
Have put this mummy back to rest
And so for now you're safe from him
Unlike Count Von Roo
Who lives up in him mansion
Helping bid your neopoints adieu

Now I never could forget
Dr. Sloth and Commander Garoo
These two are surely plotting
Their takeover - attempt two
You better watch out
There would be no better night
Than October thirty first
To start their second fight

I wrote this poem to warn you
Of Neopians known to be mean
I hope I haven’t scared you
Have a happy Halloween!

A Spooky Sensation In the Air

Lots of crawly things,
prepare for a haunting Halloween.
Some Meepits run amuck,
while some begin to drift asleep.

Swirling into rotten dreams,
and sugary nightmares,
I cannot help but wonder?
What will my fellow Neopians dress up as,
on faithful Hallows eve!

Will the tricks that lie ahead
be savoury, yet sweet?
Or will my goodie basket,
be full of brains?

Slorgs on slimy pumpkins, 
Candy vampires in caramel coffins.
How I wish this time of year
came around more often!

For the sake of 
spreading the holiday cheer,
I hope all the ghosts
keep up the good spirit!

Halloween Hauntings

Gather ‘round this campfire bright
Gaze upon its radiant light
As we speak of things that spook and scare
Terrify and screech, beware!

Things that hover through the square
Ethereal beings that scream and tear
The minds of those who see them bear
Their fangs and claws that gnash the air

Run quickly, children, flee you must
Lest they try to gain your trust
Invite you to their hollow home
Beneath the ground in yonder tome

Meepits dance in forest dark 
In greenwood dour, grim, and stark
Unseeing eyes that pierce your mind
Don’t think about this sight or find

Madness like you never dreamed
In times before it rarely seemed
Like such a creature small and round
Could bring about such pain unfound

On this Hallow’s Eve so dark
Carry a candle in the park
Lest you turn and spectres roam
And Invite to an eternal home

Beneath the ground the spirits dwell
Amidst the stories that we tell
Their souls do listen to our tales
Be still and you may hear their wails 

So, on this night of haunted spectres
Let your stories be a vector
Free the souls of those who yearn 
To be remembered in spoken word

Of this quite cuddly thing.
It's fashioned after candy corn.
Your heartstrings it will wring.

A tiny nose of orange sits
Atop a face of brown.
The body's made of chocolate; it's
The sweetest thing around.

The body's saddled in a suit
Of brightest candy corn.
It's striped with orange, white and gold,
The cutest ever worn.

The Noil is quite adorable.
The one hued Halloween
Is simply irresistible,
So perky, sweet and keen!

What's Scarier than Halloween?

Halloween is that time of year
With tricks, treats, and good cheer.
The faint of heart must beware
Of Neopians seeking a good scare.

Creepy creatures walk the streets,
Their invasion's a terrifying feat.
But later, when the day has passed,
They reveal themselves, shed their masks.

But there's a place where monsters are real
Where Bearogs see you as their next meal.
Where Plains Lupes' fangs shine bright,
Where Plains Aishas also prowl the light.

Forget haunted houses and their fake traps,
There are ruins with dangerous floor gaps.
One wrong move and you fall to your doom,
Or be forever lost in a maze of rooms.

Jahbal commands a ferocious army so great,
And the evil Mastermind lies in wait. 
Those wizards' magic is far from theatrics;
They'd find Halloween magicians quite pathetic.

Not even a great mansion decorated anew
Could match the horrors of the Temple of Roo
Or the sinister majesty of Two Rings
Which houses all manner of terrible things.

Halloween is a holiday, just a game,
And we're all glad that you came.
But you know what strikes greater fear?
Oh, it is something quite near.

Though there is much to collect and gain,
The quest might just drive you InSaNe.
And though Halloween comes once a year,
The horrors of NeoQuest are always here.

A Night of Thrills

Another year has gone by,
the night of creeps is here again,
creatures and demons come alive,
to drive you all into despair.

Count Von Roo will stay awake,
If you wish to play dice with him.
Your pet’s level will be at stake.
Just escape the castle if you win.

Edna the witch with her yearly bash,
only celebrities to the tower may approach.
If you are near the party, you better dash,
Or chances are she’ll turn you into a Moach.

Don’t get stranded in the woods,
people say he’s hungrier that night,
the Esopaghor will do you no good,
your pets could be his next snack.

The brain tree takes the day to sleep,
all year studying is pretty tough,
so leave him alone while he dreams,
what you may say isn’t worth it enough.

Many evil entities will be out on halloween night,
The spooky season makes them all crawl out from the holes where they hide,
Trick-or-treat safely, don’t trust anybody and don’t do it alone.
Let the fright and terror unfold, happy Halloween everyone!

A Halloween Lupe

She walks in danger like the night,
beneath the darkened canopy,
bathed in muted, pale moonlight
fractured through the haunted trees.

The moon, long cloaked in clouds of grey,
lets slip from ‘neath its civil mask,
no longer dimmed nor held at bay,
stripped bare and primal, starts its task.

She feels her muscles stitch and rip,
her teeth grow long, her fur grows thick;
in the throes of moonlight gripped,
the changes pass sudden and quick.

She walks, a Werelupe in the night,
who entered the woods as a Lupe,
but underneath the full moon’s light,
revealed herself, her soul, in truth.

Halloween In Neopia

what a wonderful sight.
Head down to Haunted woods,
and you’ll be in for quite a fright.

All over Neopia,
everyone is dressed in costume.
There are zombies and pumpkins,
and Enda with a broom.

There are new Trick-or-treat bags,
that are fun to hunt down.
Filled with candy and prizes,
no one is wearing a frown.

On this day of celebration,
that is full of treats.
There are so many costumes to see,
and so much candy to feast.
