Bori Day Special

Donny's Reparations
by l0000000l

Way up high in the shivering heights,
Snow falls around a quaint community,
Coated within packed blankets of white,
Exists a Bori with frost immunity.

Native to the glistening Ice Caves,
He prefers a bit of familiarity,
Top of the Mountain's the furthest he braves,
This is where he lives with sincerity.

Just north of Tarla's Shop of Mystery,
And near south of Taelia the Snow Faerie,
Donny runs his shop with years of history,
Fixing broken toys to make the kids merry.

If you hand him one "o' yer broken toys,"
At just a small fee of a few Neopoints,
He'll take it back and make some noise,
And return after patching up the plush joints.

So if you've ever gotten your items fixed,
Head back on over to the fluffy ol' Bori,
With a cup of hot cocoa and cream mixed,
Thank him for giving toys a new life story.

Ode to the Bori Gnomes
by symbolism

i. Curious Bori Gnome

inquisitive lad
with a beard wispy as cloud--
nod to dragonfly

ii. Raking Bori Gnome

at the blush of dawn,
hard at work to quell the leaves
a quiet fire

iii. Leaf Carrying Bori Gnome

With all strength, he heaves
his one burden flecked with dew
but still waves to foes

iv. Flower Picking Bori Gnome

on one fine spring day,
he whispers to his daisy:
are you new to rain?

Bori Day - Come From Away
by rawbeee

Bori from near and far
Have returned home from away
Following the brightest north star
To be here for Bori Day

The Ice Caves are all aglow
With crystal lanterns placed haphazardly
Which bask the denizens from head to toe
In prismatic light spectacularly

A great cheer is in the air
Merriment echoing from chamber to chamber
It would make one think they do not care
About waking the eternally frozen Snowager

Nothing can bring down their mood
In this place they were discovered
They feast on the finest of food
Eventually patting bellies now uncovered

Even the Keeper of Time
Their heroic and brave leader
Shows up to recite rhyme
Words that cure fever

They share stories through the night
Ones of old times and ones of new
Until with sleep they reunite
In the morning they bid adieu

A Bori's Icy Voyage
by myncithemonkey

In Neopia long ago,
Was a Bori on a boat,
Waves rocking to and fro,
Trying to stay afloat.

From whence the Bori came,
A land of ice and snow,
The sheer cold all the same,
Where chilly winds blow.

Across the frozen terrain,
Beneath a glacial peak,
The Bori can feel strain,
From bitter wind so bleak.

Through meandering turns,
The Bori travels far,
Rocky current churns,
Stirring memories of war.

The Bori steadies pace,
As voyage nears its end,
Towards the warm embrace,
Of Hannah, his best friend.

The Bori Miner
by geneames1

There's nothing finer than a Bori miner
toiling underground
Nothing better than a real go-getter
where jewels and gems are found

He'll dig all day for little pay
expecting a big win
Dig at night by lantern light
in hopes his ship comes in

Stones of green are usually seen
as valuable, I'm told
Stones of red it's often said
as worth their weight in gold

Gems of blue, a noble hue
hold everyone in thrall
But gems of pink I like to think
are prettiest of all

Broken Neopoints
by cookiez101

All I recall:
a slipped drop, thud, slam.
In a Neopian shop,
morning light just peeking, drowsy eyes, thick-moving paws that
scrambled to purchase
treasures.

To be broken
is, of course
to not be whole. Now
a moot purpose.

Falling
A rush of air,
both cleansing and
terrifying.

The posts of
an algal rotting pier,
peeking eyes of Lurman as
they hold to their slimy garden bed.

Shimmery Seagrass waving
welcome and farewell, sparkling
glowing lighthouse beacon
to nowhere.

Layers of blue
with swishing bubbles;
a calming echo and ringing.

Suddenly: a cold metal hook latched
to my satchel —
and all became quick.

The face of a stranger,
jostling about as we travelled,
and the shock of damp, cold snow.

Silence. The warmth of
a small wooden cottage.
The face of a Red Bori,
crinkled and fussed,
exclaiming.

A tinkle of a bell. Silence again.
The Bori's face grows serene and
he looks at me.

"Well, someone has really mistreated you. But don't worry."

He bustles.
Hands gripping a teal powder in a jar.

"You see, this is why I get so flustered with these folks, these clumsy Neopians."

He takes a pinch of powder.
Puckers. Exhales. Whoosh!
Tingles and pinpricks.
Crackling and shimmying.
If I had feet, I would dance.
If I had a nose, I would cough.

I am whole!

"They never see the value of things until they're broken or gone. When I have seen your value all along."

A Bori Limerick
by animeluver220

There once was a pet new to all.
Four legs; it can walk and/or crawl.
It comes from the ice,
From a cave not so nice,
And is sure to amaze and enthral!

So what’s the species of this pet?
You’ll find out ‘bout that now, don’t you fret.
The species is a Bori,
I’ll tell you a whole story
About the most famous ones that I’ve met.

Armin is his name and he’s small.
You might know that he fought and stood tall.
Hannah was his friend,
Stood with him ‘til the end,
Stopped the thieves once and for all.

Now Donny has a heart made of gold,
In the land where it is oh so cold.
You’ll be sure to enjoy
How he’ll fix up your toy,
It’s a skill that you’ll have to behold.

Finally, there’s the Keeper of Time.
He was kept in the ice, what a crime!
But once he was free,
Our Hannah was in glee,
Cause the curse was lifted just in time!

Are you looking for a pet to adopt?
For a Bori, I hope you will opt.
They are sweet, cool and fun,
Great for just anyone,
Don’t you wait, go right now and adopt!

Maraquan Boris, Attractive and Masterful
by _brainchild_

Maraquan Boris rule the sea!
They captivate and dazzle me.
Appearance is so beautiful;
Their swimming is quite masterful.

The hue of seafoam dominates,
Paired up with orange that is so great.
The spots it bears, aquatic blue,
Are grand---they should inspire you.

Their eyes are emerald green. Two spheres
Are shiny, sparkle crystal clear.
Their smiles are oh so whimsical!
Their lovely grins are never dull.

Their swimming skills are so adept!
With moves of wonders, they have kept
Their audience outright entranced.
They simply can't ignore this dance!

So, if you venture underseas,
The Neopets so bound to please,
Maraquan Boris, are the ones
That you should meet for endless fun.

Garden Tea Bori Outfit
by indulgences

She’s shy and very reticent.
She’s bookish and she’s smart.
She isn’t posh or glamorous.
She has a gentle heart.

Our Bori was invited to
A Garden Tea this week.
She didn’t know what she should wear.
Her clothing was not chic.

She frequented the clothing shops
To buy an outfit new.
She needed a new dress to wear.
She needed brand new shoes.

The dresses were so glittery!
Such flashy, gaudy gowns!
She blushed as she tried on each dress.
She sighed, she fussed, she frowned.

Then, lo, behold, she found her Dress!
A sheath of palest silk!
Designed so simply, hued with pink,
As glossy as pure milk!

The matching Shoes were dotted with
Small orbs of gemstones pink.
The heels were made so stylishly,
And gave off quiet clinks!

The Jewellery that matched the dress
Were bracelets for each paw.
Festooned with little golden beads,
They filled her with such awe!

The Wig was a high ponytail
That swung from side to side.
She took such pride in wearing it.
She had a merry stride!

The Glasses that she chose to buy
Were hued transparent pink.
They sparkled in the morning sun,
And graced her every blink!

She put on her accoutrements.
With mirror as her guide,
She wore her simple, modest dress,
So perfect to her eyes.

The garden tea was a success!
She had a jolly time!
She dressed to suit her inner self.
Her outfit was sublime!

The Bori Leader
by hannahcreep

I am Rasala the Bright,
Leader of the Order of the Red Erism.
I am here today to show you the Order
Is one of altruism.

We are magical beings
Who strive to help others
When it came to the battlegrounds
We went in with our numbers.

We wanted to make sure the obelisk
Did not fall into the hands of evil!
It was up to us to protect neopia
And get the magic for retrieval.

Magic can be dangerous
But with us, you can learn to use it.
It is not hard to join the Order,
You just need to have good wit.

Please consider joining me
And learning my Bori magic.
You never know what talent you have
And to waste it is just tragic.
